We rested in this hotel (Bin Majid Resort, DO NOT confuse with Bin Majid Hotel! ) through Natalie Tours (subtour agent "come with us") at the end of April.

A few words about the transfer. Flying with FlyDubai. I would like to note that the flight from Ukraine takes 5 hours and do not count on any solid food on the plane - everything is scarce, paid and quite expensive. I recommend eating either before the flight, or get ready to "pay" 5-10 AED (1AED = $ 3.6) for tea / coffee, 20-25 AED for beer or 50 ml of alcohol and 20 AED for an absolutely tasteless sandwich or roll. We did not know this information in advance and boarded the plane without having lunch. And they were already ready to buy something to chew on when it turned out that out of the entire "variety" of the menu, only egg and cheese sandwiches were available: cold, dry and tasteless. And considering that upon arrival, you will have another hour or two transfer to the hotel, you need to think twice about lunch, if this is important for you.

Upon arrival, formal passport control, a photo of the iris (you just need to look at the camera for a couple of seconds) and a meeting with the host. Transfer to the hotel, by the way, was very pleased. No delays, no waiting. And given the fact that only 4 people from the entire plane were heading to this hotel, they were all transported en masse on one bus (toyota, with air conditioning), and four of us personally on two brand new Audis. Upon arrival at the hotel, dinner was held for us (and we arrived after midnight). As for the organization of the departure transfer, there are some nuances. The return flight was at 9 am and, accordingly, the check-out time from the hotel was scheduled for 3.45 (for UAE charter flights, the rule is to be at the airport for check-in 3 hours before departure).
Firstly, naturally no one wants to have breakfast at such an early hour, so we asked in advance at the reception to pack something 'little things' with us, to which we received approving 'nods' from the smiling administrator. As a result, it turned out a little differently: 10 minutes before the departure time of the bus, they opened the kitchen for us, where there was tea, and after 5 minutes they brought some more rolls. Making tea with one foot, chewing a bun with the other, and running out to the exit with the third, the last "breakfast to go" passed. By the way, this is not the first time when the receptionists did not fulfill the requests (3 times they had to be reminded to bring an adapter for their plug from the outlet). “To evict us, by the way, they came not at 3.45 but at 3.30, but what’s true is true, they honestly waited outside the door for 10 minutes while we finished washing. Here, again, there was a slight misunderstanding.
The person responsible for checking the room during check-out, when checking the refrigerator / minibar, took out a bottle of gin (40 AED) and started telling me that it was open and supposedly I drank half. I really used the minibar, but only everything I took (alcohol was not on this list) was specially paid in advance at the reception in the evening before departure. As a result, after several cold-blooded “no, I didn’t touch it, ” the person with the phrase “come on, I didn’t see anything at all” walked away. A trifle, but unpleasant. The driver of the arrived bus (an hour late) almost forgot 2 tourists, not noticing their names in his sheet. Be vigilant : ) Two other passengers on arrival at Dubai airport almost got dropped off at the wrong terminal. Strictly speaking, these are all objective disadvantages. Now about the hotel itself, excursions and other little tricks.
In general, the hotel is not bad (for those who go to rest not in the "high season", and when prices are 30-40% lower than at the current time, it's a sin to complain about). The hotel is located at the exit of the city of Ras Al Khaimah. On foot, except for the neighboring cafe, club and alcohol store, you will not get anywhere. A taxi to the nearest supermarket (al hamra mall) costs 15/10 AED (round trip). A taxi to the largest RAK Mall in this emirate, as well as to the bus stop (RAK bus station) will cost you about 50 AED. Taxi to Dubai - 150 AED, regular bus to Dubai - 20AED (on the way back, you can politely ask the bus driver to stop near the hotel, because the way to the city center of ras al khaimah, to the bus station still lies through it (respectively, you do not need to spend additional 50 AED for the way from the center to the hotel).

Finishing the topic about "how to get to Dubai", I will add that buses run from RAK (ras al khaimah bus station) to Dubai and back every hour, from about 7 to 21 (check with the driver / at the earliest and latest times). checkout). Continuing the theme of the hotel. There are two types of rooms - cabana and chalet (standard, superior). The first is a kind of houses with a small terrace (they were mostly occupied by non-Russian-speaking vacationers). The second - ordinary rooms in two-storey complexes. There is no horror, as some tourists write about, in the boar. Inside, in fact, the same thing as in ordinary rooms. And when you come with a company, it’s generally cool to sit on the terrace. The standard room differs from the superior room only in the absence of an electric kettle and tea and coffee bags replenished every morning for free. Rooms are clean and cleaned regularly. Bed linen was changed 2 times during 7 days stay. 2 bottles of water were provided daily for free.
The food is also quite decent - a buffet (sausages, jacket potatoes, spaghetti with mozzarella, yogurt, fruits, sweets - everything was there). The menu for 7 days has not changed dramatically, but nevertheless it was really pleasant and appetizing to eat. Meals were taken HB (breakfast + dinner) and I strongly recommend not to refuse such a minimum, because there is, in fact, nowhere to go to eat nearby, and it will be more expensive to go to the city center. On Friday, Saturday (these are Arab days off) at dinner there was a small animation in the form of a karaoke singer with a fairly rich repertoire and a pleasant voice and an oriental-style dancer. This worldview was held in the open air near the restaurant near the pool. Finishing the topic 'about eating'. If you go along the road from the hotel to the highway and walk 100 meters towards the city, at the first turn to the left there will be the only normal alcohol store in the area.
Almost everything is there and the prices, if higher than duty free, are not much. In general, to rest on a drunk head and defiantly 'ring' bottles, especially outside the hotel, the Arabs are not very welcome. In the Dubai metro, a large fine will be issued for such a case, and in Sharjah they will simply be taken to the police. So gentlemen, be careful. The national composition of the vacationers was approximately the following: 50% of Russian speakers (Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, etc. ), the rest were Germans, Poles, Americans and Indians. The audience is quite calm.

And, most importantly, the sea. The hotel has its own beach. And then I happened to see both his 'white' and 'black' side. There were always enough beds. It is really cozy on the shore, despite the ongoing construction nearby. But there is one but. This area is subject to frequent storms (usually at night) and after high tides it often brings mud and shells to the shore, many of which are quite sharp.

The way out of the situation is to swim in flip flops (it’s a pity that we only found out about this by cutting our heels: ). Again, during high tides, you need to go to a normal depth of 30 meters, if not more. Otherwise, no complaints. If you swim in flip flops, any weather and situation under your feet will be 'high'. By the way, in the last 3 days, the sea was especially clean, transparent and up to a depth of 15 meters, no more. Speaking of the sun. It's really hellishly evil here : ) You can burn out in a few minutes, you yourself won't notice it. Therefore, the recommendation: at least from 11 am to 3 pm it is better not to show up on the beach at all, even in the shade. But this is only advice from a tourist to tourists, it's up to you : )
Of the excursions, I recommend a safari and an overview of Dubai (they took it from their own, Natalie Tours, they did not regret it). The receptionists were not opposed to changing dinner for lunch for these two excursion days (since the departure for the excursion was late).
Another caveat, the Internet in the hotel is paid (20 AED per hour). There are cafes in al hamra mall where you can supposedly catch a free option.
Verdict - the hotel fulfills its 4 * for a solid 4+.
Food for 4.
Location at 5-.
Beach at 4-.
Excursions for 5.
P. s. if not RAC, then in terms of recreation you can still consider Fujairah and Dubai itself (according to the reviews of local tourists and guides). Yes, and more. Muslims are thin people and they have a little bit of humor. For thoughtlessly throwing the phrase "bomb" or something similar, one of the tourists during the bus transfer from the airport to the plane, the plane was delayed for an hour in search of the subject of her black humor. Some of these jokes end in deportation or worse. Draw your own conclusions. And have a nice holiday everyone!
