The room is spacious, bright, the bathroom had all the necessary accessories, bathrobes, slippers, gel-shampoo-paste, everything is there.
At the hotel you can take a free beach bag, beach towels, as well as a mat-mattress and water, you don’t need to buy sun loungers on the beach, especially since they are decently expensive.
The sea is magical, it is a very beautiful coast with a gentle entrance and clear water.
The food at the hotel is good, but could be better, not a lot of seafood, but meat and fish are excellent. Enjoyed a variety of desserts, eventually recovered by 3 kg per vacation. Delicious freshly squeezed juices, I liked the coffee and special thanks for the service, the waiters are trying very hard. And in general, the staff in general is wonderful, room cleaning is excellent, clean and on time. We advise!
The hotel itself is good, quality, but I expected more from him. They met very dryly, and immediately offered "better" rooms for an additional fee, although they were not. The first impression is a real disappointment. But the hotel is quite good. But this hotel does not have its own beach, you need to go to the public one. But the hotel is new and renovated. The food seems to be good, but there were also nuances. The evenings were themed. We had breakfast and dinner. If the husband wants a fish dinner for dinner, but the child does not eat fish, I need to go to the common room, and my husband to the thematic one. And it is impossible to combine it, it is forbidden. There is simply no loyalty.
And for myself, I concluded that if you fly to the Emirates, then only through a tour operator.
Now about the construction near the hotel. Yes, there is, and around the clock. We were settled on the 16th floor, you can still hear it. To get to the beach, you need to walk down the street past the restaurants to the Hilton Hotel. With a slow step with a small child, it took us 10-15 minutes. On the beach, there are only a few changing cabins from the equipment.
There are few Russian-speaking staff in the hotel, but even with the most minimal knowledge of English, you can explain yourself. Cleaning, change of bedding and towels daily. The rooms are good and quite spacious. The inconvenience is that for children over 3 years old a crib is not provided (their children sleep with their parents). For a fee, they brought a playpen.
Before leaving, they asked how about lunch packages (we had a check-out from the hotel at 5:30 in the morning), they said for a fee (about 10 euros) breakfast in the room. We called the tour operator - in the morning lunch packages were collected even for children and, what is remarkable, completely free of charge.
We went to Abu Dhabi, Ferrari Park and Dubai Mall. If you are interested, write - I'll tell you.
The choice is yours, of course, but if there is something to choose from, then choose...
Eating at the hotel is very expensive, as well as drinking. On the street to the right of the hotel there is a "kebab" and there (inside! ) There is a "buffet", you pay a certain amount and put everything on a plate. Delicious and economical. Of course, there are restaurants of European and Italian cuisine on this busy street where the hotel is located, but also relatively expensive. It is very convenient and inexpensive, while shopping, to eat in the malls in Dubai. A taxi from Sofitel to the Emirates Dubai Mall costs about 45-50 Dirhams. 1 dirham is about 9 rubles. ; to Deira mall 65-80 dirhams. All taxis are metered, and even when you are in a traffic jam, the meter continues to count)).
On the beach (despite the bans on smoking and alcohol) you can smoke (I don’t know about drinking, it’s probably better if you do it without advertising). Again, if you smoke, then you can stock up on an empty pack, for storing a bullock, they still say selectively fined for garbage. Again, you yourself will then stomp on this rubbish. The pool in the hotel is very warm, like splashing in a hot bath. The windows of all rooms overlook the Persian Gulf (which, by the way, is very beautiful). Every morning freshly squeezed juices, mixes, a large selection of fruits, from rambutans to the notorious oranges. Breakfasts are monotonous, pastries are not bad because they are always the freshest! Everywhere on the tables, from the "buffet" to the hotel lobby, there are freshly cut roses and petals. Flowers change every day. Very impressive in the presence of the desert. Everything else, as elsewhere in the 5-kah - shampoos, slippers, bathrobes, beds, towels and everything is snow-white. In the room there is a kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, sweets (1 piece every day)) for free. Minibar - paid. The cheapest bottle in it is Coca Cola 0.33 about 60 rubles. We didn't use it. we collected a variety of fruits and exotic natural juices in the mall (of course, duty free was fully covered by us when entering a non-drinking country)) There is no alcohol anywhere! except for bars and restaurants, and even then not in all. In general, the service is impeccable. The public beach does not bother those who are used to lying comfortably on a sunbed - they relax by the pool (by the way, there is a very small area around it and there are not enough sunbeds for everyone). We went on 2 excursions: a sightseeing tour of Dubai and a jeep safari. So-so . . The sand in the desert at sunset is undeniably beautiful! And the photos are beautiful.
To summarize my vacation in the UAE, I can say the following: there is nothing to see there (no history, no cultural monuments), yes, skyscrapers, yes, crazy shopping and huge shopping centers with skating rinks, waterfalls, etc. With beaches, too, not everything is good everywhere, plus prohibitions, prohibitions, prohibitions. Well, once or twice you can see... the beautiful Persian Gulf!
There will be questions - write! I will answer everyone.
