I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in February 2007. I was then in Dubai for work, the company where I worked settled me in this hotel. True, she settled not herself, but through some local intermediary. For my money, I would hardly choose this hotel. By the way, I later told the company everything that I think about this, they froze, like it was the initiative of a local intermediary, and they themselves did not know where I was settled. Okay, that's the past. . .
So, the hotel quite rightly has two stars and fully corresponds to them. Again, by local standards. The only positive is the location is quite good. Everything else is a total waste. The front of the hotel faces the roadway, a rather busy road, so it is quite noisy from the front. Large-scale construction was carried out from the back at that time, it was very noisy both day and night, even with the windows completely closed. I don't know if the construction has already ended there or not. The room itself was given to me of a decent size, of some bizarre shape, even a two-room suite, in addition to the bedroom there was another room with a table, a sofa, an armchair, a refrigerator and a TV. There were no Russian channels. But everything shows signs of decent wear - shabby upholstery on furniture, stained carpeting, cheap and dirty furniture. The bathroom was generally surprising - in addition to the widespread presence of a fungus and a rather sloppy state, I saw a very original way of repairing a fallen off tile - it was fixed in place with self-tapping screws! But the room was cleaned regularly, although all the cleaning came down to making the bed and changing the towels (although I don’t remember exactly about the towels).
There is no hall in the hotel as such, there is a small reception desk, to the left of it is the entrance to a certain room, proudly called a restaurant, to the right is the entrance to the bar and disco, straight ahead is the transition to the elevator, in this passage there are two sofas, on which in the evening - prostitutes sit proudly at night. So there is no such thing as "sit in the lobby" for this hotel due to the absence of the lobby itself. There was a disco in the bar until the morning, music was constantly blaring in the rooms on the second floor, it was impossible to sleep.

Nutrition is a different story. In a shabby room called "restaurant" there are dirty, worn and warped tables. There is no buffet. They give a rather meager menu, then you have to wait until the dish is prepared and brought. The minimum wait is 30 minutes, the maximum wait is an hour. The service staff does not speak Russian, so those who do not know English have nothing to do in this hotel.
Now about where I started - location. The hotel is located five minutes from the Dubai Museum, ten minutes from the promenade, from which you can go to the other side of the bay. In the vicinity of the hotel there are more shopping centers, literally around the corner - a very good deli. True, at that large intersection, which is clearly visible in the photo, now (December 2009) a metro station is being built, everything is fenced around, it is quite problematic to move around there. That shopping center, which is located behind the intersection, used to be quite crowded and interesting, now it is in some kind of desolation, probably because getting to the entrance to it due to the fact that everything around is blocked is quite problematic. However, getting to, for example, a water park from here is much easier and faster than, for example, from Deira. Tested on myself - a taxi to Parus and back dragged on for 50 bucks, while she also drove and famously swayed. When this metro line is put into operation, the location of this hotel will become even more attractive.
The nearest beach is Al Jumeirah, but the bus from the hotel does not go there, but a taxi cost some $ 3. True, leaving the beach is quite problematic, it is impossible to catch a taxi, you had to walk a decent distance, and only then catch a car.
Conclusions: this hotel is for very economical tourists, for whom convenience and comfort do not matter much. But you can live, I lived for almost a week; )
