The main point was that the hotel forgot to congratulate me on my birthday (the first hotel in the world! And it has 5 stars).
What happened in the room: slippers and toothbrushes only upon request at the reception (What? Is it 3 stars or what? ) you feel like a beggar for your own money. There is no coffee machine. The towels are all worn out and hard, and it is clear that they have been used since the very construction of the hotel (it seems 19 years old), the air conditioner whistles at different speeds, the refrigerator does not cool. Usually in 5-star hotels branded cosmetics are exhibited. Here you will have to use a cheap replacement. There is no shoehorn, The closet in the dressing room is broken and the shelves are falling apart, My bathrobe once turned out to be stained, The scales do not work, the shelf in the bathroom is broken, the shower constantly breaks and does not hold. I had to buy a screwdriver and twist it myself every day to wash myself. It was embarrassing to talk about it every time at the reception.
Food: Of course, we understand that due to COVID-19 there are some restrictions in the form of glass partitions and the staff is forced to serve food individually. But. . . When you say that you need more of something and they stare at you, that you are kind of arrogant. . . Or when they put a burnt piece of chicken on you, and you ask to replace it with a normal one. . . They tell you 3 times that it is also a chicken. . . and in the end, those who are dissatisfied change this unfortunate piece for you... Of course, it's great that the waiters try to keep an eye on your table and promptly clean the dishes, but when you show a person with your whole appearance that you don’t want to talk... or ask 500 times if you need more juice... Dear, food at the hotel has turned into psychological masochistic trips... When you go and you understand in advance that they will get you there from all sides.
If you stay at a hotel for 1-3 days, then everything is fine with food, but on the 4th day the same assortment starts to get boring... And we lived there for 2 weeks! You can't even imagine how I hate all their food))) And yes! Very important! Well, a very small selection of food! Only exclusively what should be expected at a minimum for 5 stars and not a drop more! And, to be honest, it doesn't taste good. So… keep this moment in mind))) Before that, I lived in another hotel for 3 days and it was a completely different story.
Extras: I decided to take a healthy lifestyle vacation and go to fitness every day. Due to COVID-19 in the gym, which is in the same space as the pool, the doors are open and the gyms themselves are very humid and stuffy. Be careful! You can beat your heart! And how is that? There is no bottled water in the gym! To which I was told that I should take it from the room (Are you serious?! ) and when I decided to clarify, maybe somewhere there you can draw water into a bottle from the room, when it ended, I had to go to the men's locker room, where to go - a technical room, and there, in a dark room with a dubious order, there is a cooler and a couple of plastic cups on a dirty table (or bedside table... I don’t remember what they have there).
Of course, many thanks to the staff who are constantly trying to save the situation and help you in any moments, but it is at least strange that such moments take place and that there are so many of them...
And also . . We decided to eat by the pool... and I understand that 5 stars, food by the pool and all things))) But 2200 rubles for a salad in the form of a plate of chopped cabbage and 3 small shrimps... Are you serious? : )))))) Well, I have something to compare with))) This is even a mockery for hares)))
Special thanks for saving the situation to Asis at the reception and Hasan and Cristy in the restaurant! They really go out of their way to make life easier for guests at this hotel.
It is a pity that such a previously beautiful hotel (I lived in it 18 years ago and watched a completely different story, filled with the ideal and spirit of modern and perfect Dubai)... So it bends and turned into a real 3 stars, but in a big beautiful house.
Standard number. Very spacious (compared to other hotels), panoramic windows, no balcony, windows do not open. The room has a standard set for a 5-star hotel: bathrobes, slippers, iron, ironing board, shampoo / gel, apples, water, tea, coffee.
Territory. It boasts its park area with lawns, trees, slides, pools (which is rare for a strict city hotel).
wifi. Free in rooms and throughout the territory.
Nutrition. The hotel has several restaurants and bars mostly inside the main building. The dinner buffet had a choice: cherry tomatoes, arugula, king prawns, salmon, lamb, 2 types of ocean view, taki-maki-yaki (a selection of Japanese dishes), papaya, strawberries, pineapples (compared to other 5 star hotels, this is had the largest selection of food).
Location. Transfer to the city beach free of charge according to the schedule. The nearest metro station is 10-15 minutes walk. Taxi to Dubai Mall 30-40 dirhams ($10-12).
The hotel is chic. Tall multi-storey building with beautiful grounds.
There are several pools here: one outdoors, another indoor, tennis court, even golf courses!!!
You can safely go here with children. They will have fun here. After all, there are already 2 children's pools (heated), water slides, a children's mini-club, there is also a playground. Why not a children's paradise!
Internet here is paid.
Alas!
The rooms are very very very large with a beautiful view that will take your breath away in Dubai. How did we not live on the ground floor!
I would recommend this hotel more for tourists traveling to the UAE for business purposes. Well, perhaps for families with children.
