Rested at Swissotel Al Murooj Dubai from 08/21/2021 to 08/27/2021. What can I say? Impressions are twofold... excellent location, delicious food, cuisine at its best. Polite and courteous restaurant staff and service staff.
However, the whole impression was spoiled by the following situations. We arrived at this hotel at 8 in the morning, no welcome drink or treat was provided to us tired, at the reception a young man said that there was a reservation in our name, but our tour operator did not pay the cost of staying at the hotel and therefore I should make a deposit of $ 1100 for accommodation. Great start. I had to leave all my cash. I was reassured by the fact that usually all payments arrive before 10 am and my deposit will be returned to me. For breakfast this morning I had to pay an extra 250 dirhams, for me my father and son.
After having breakfast and rest, at 13.00 I went down to the reception desk for my deposit, but they told me that there was still no payment. Contact your tour operator. I called my travel agent, explained the whole situation - they promised me to clarify everything. In the end, at 7 pm, my travel agent called me and said that there was an error on the part of the hotel, and I can collect my deposit. For their mistake, the hotel managers promised to give us some kind of compliment. After collecting the deposit, I found a letter in the room stating that on 08/22/2021 the hotel suspends breakfast! A great compliment))) money for breakfast will be returned to the guests on the card. Going downstairs to the reception, I discussed this situation with the manager and he assured me that the money for breakfast would be returned to me in cash. I previously stayed at this hotel in 2019. There were free buses that took guests to the private beach, where there were changing rooms, showers, and beach towels. At the moment, none of this exists. When checking out from the hotel at 12 o'clock, I was told that they would return the money for breakfast only to my tour operator and I still had to pay them 200 dirhams. For what these 200 dirhams, I did not immediately understand - either a tourist tax or something else. Everywhere they write that this hotel has Russian-speaking staff, but this is not so. The only one who speaks Russian is a nice waiter girl in a restaurant. Maybe I don't speak English well, or maybe the young man who evicted it is not good at it. He tried to call someone on the phone, looked for Russian-speaking staff for me, asked me to wait a couple of minutes and they would come to me. But no one ever came up.
Previously, I always recommended this hotel to my acquaintances and friends, and I wanted to come here myself. But after such unpleasant moments, such disrespect for their guests, when they say one thing, but in the end it turns out something else - I'm unlikely to come back here.
