As for the hotel - everything is clean, neat, the staff is friendly, always smiling at everyone, a common language can be found.
We only had breakfast buffet. Every day they served the same assortment, but there was always something to choose from and they tried everything in seven days. There was a McDonald's near the dining room, where we bought food in the evening, it is round-the-clock and the prices are an order of magnitude lower than in the city center.
If you fly home early in the morning, you can ask for breakfast to be collected for the journey.
The rooms were cleaned every day, bedding, towels were changed, all shampoos were added. But for some reason they forgot about tea, coffee and water, we constantly reminded them. The room has a kitchen with all necessary utensils, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, air conditioning, TV. They have rezettes with three holes, they asked for an adapter at the reception, they brought it unconditionally. The windows in the room without handles, we wanted to open it, so they opened the window and took the handle away))))
Internet in hotels is expensive - $10 per hour. But our people will find a way out)))) There is a lot of wi-fi in the corridor by the window, although many are blocked. We found a free Linksay.
The pool is not big, there are sun loungers around, towels are given out, but we never swam in it.
The hotel has a gym, sauna, massage - girls from men separately.
Buses run from the hotel to the beach (9:00 and 9:30) and they also pick up from the beach (12:30 and 13:00). In the evening at 17:00 the bus takes you to Nasser Square and the City Center. Picks up at 21:30.
There is a green metro line near the hotel. Very convenient and understandable. On it we dashed off, did without buses. Worth checking out for everyone, very helpful. Taxi in the city is on average 20 dirkham, which is about 40 UAH.
Excursions bought on the beach, a little cheaper than at the hotel. I advise Modern Dubai, the Indian Ocean and the Capital of Abu Dhabi.
In general, you can write a lot, but it's better to see once, or two, or three)))))) My husband and I were satisfied with everything. True, 6 days is not enough...
The hotel itself is clean, tidy, the staff is friendly, helpful. They didn’t leave tips - all the time they forget to put water, then put tea - so there’s nothing to spoil! ))) Remind me - they will give)))
It was funny - they hung a sign do not disturb", so they didn’t ring the door about cleaning the room, but called on the phone! ))) And they put a letter under the door - like if you don’t remove the sign before 17.00, they won’t be able to clean our room) )) Damn... such caring !!! )))
The room has a kitchenette with all the necessary utensils - a stove, a kettle, a set of dishes for two persons, pots and pans. In general, the thing is necessary - they came home late - Dubai is a city of nightlife, and so there is nowhere to eat - and at home there is a kitchen in the room !! ! Voila - dinner is ready! In Lu Lu or Liu Liu, she did not understand how it is right to buy from ready-made food to semi-finished products.
The weather was normal, but sometimes in the evenings it was windy and fresh. The Persian Gulf turned out to be the Arctic for me - tin !! ! The water is cold, the sand is icy in the shade. So the pool at the hotel is heated - very handy - they sunbathed and swam there, even though it is small.
Since the hotel is urban type, the area is small. The pool is small but heated and clean. Once bought up, there was no more need and time.
There is a bus to the beach at 9.00 and 9.30. The queue is great. For two or even three flights they took everyone out. Back at 12.30 and 13.00. It takes about 10 minutes to drive. True, our former compatriots took the bus by storm, which was a little annoying. You can take a taxi for 18 dirhams. The beach is located on the territory of the large Al Mamzar Park. Entrance 5 dirhams. We went to the third beach. He is really the best, but further away, you have to take a walk. But it's worth it. It's cleaner and quieter, there are fewer people. The water was warm and clean.
At 17.00 they take the bus to Nasser Square and Deira City. Back at 21.30. We went a couple of times. They themselves went by subway, if they did not want to be tied in time.
Excursion to Abu Dhabi. took in Orient Voyage. There was a good Saami guide. We learned a lot of interesting and useful things about the country from him. I liked the trip. The White Mosque is a work of art, very beautiful. We also agreed privately on a sightseeing tour with an ascent to the Burj Khalifa. First we climbed the tower. This is definitely a must experience at least once in a lifetime. Then we were driven around the city, we saw all the sights. We were very pleased that we went individually, without any fuss we looked at everything and also learned a lot of interesting things. I was struck by the luxury and beauty of the buildings. How can you think of this and put it into practice? We also took a safari tour from the hotel guide, but we were unlucky, on that day it started to rain very heavily with a thunderstorm and the tour was canceled and the money was returned to us. We were a little upset, but then we decided that it was not fate and there would be a reason to come again. I would like to note the very good work of the hotel guide Katerina. Nice and very responsible girl.
We took the metro from Nahda station to Dubai Marina, and without leaving the metro we changed in the opposite direction and got off in the center at the Dubai Mall stop, but we were charged only as from our station to the center. So you can look at the city from above for almost free by taking the metro from Nahda station almost to the end of the red line in the direction of Dubai Marina and back and get off at Stadium station (one stop before Nahda). Picked up in one stop. We took a silver card, it is very convenient and there are no problems with replenishment at the terminal or at the checkout. You can look at the map in the subway everywhere and figure it out. It’s problematic to get to the metro only in the center, it’s not entirely clear, but you can still find it. It is better to first take the metro to the Dubai Mall and go in the direction to the Burj Khalifa for the people, and it will be clearer back. From the hotel by metro to the center with a change at Union station, it's a 25-minute ride.
We got to prepare for the holiday on December 2, the 41st anniversary of the unification of the Emirates. Lots of symbolism, lights, very beautiful. Unfortunately, the holiday itself was no longer caught, they flew away on that day.
We were taken back early three hours before check-in, but the flight was delayed at 1.20. In general, tired but satisfied, they returned home with a lot of impressions. It is a pity that there was not enough time to enjoy the beauty.
Output:
I liked the hotel, suitable for outdoor activities. The staff and service is good. Very calm environment in the hotel. Quiet, what you need to at least have a little rest at night, as they came late tired. You can not take food so as not to be tied in time. The presence of a metro station near the hotel helped to move around the city without any problems. To learn about the history of the country and the life of the people, it is better to take some sightseeing tour. A trip to Abu Dhabi helped us with this. We really liked the country. Emirates is an eternal holiday. It is surprising how such a development could have been reached in such a short time. It's just fantastic. Would like to return again. There was not enough time, it is necessary to fly not for a week. Can be in the same hotel.
HOTEL
Large, spacious. Good transport interchange. Everything is nearby. Convenient parking place. Beautiful lobby. as in almost most hotels, which surprised us very much) -20 $ per day or you can buy cards for a smaller amount of time.
ROOM
Super: spacious, there is a kitchen with everything you need (from a fork to an ice mold). There is also a refrigerator, an electric kettle, a hairdryer, an electric stove, a toaster. Water 1.5 l is delivered every day; shampoo / soap; coffee / tea / sugar / cream....they change towels and even wash the dishes if they haven’t washed themselves. There is a TV with one Russian channel in the room.
LOCATION
-sleeping area - quiet and sopokoyno - an ideal place to relax.
-near the subway-5 minutes walk. For the money, the subway fare is 2.5 times cheaper than a taxi. there and back -32 dirhams.
- there is a Lu-Lu supermarket nearby. Go to it for 5-7 minutes . . the prices are the same as ours. Fruits and fish are cheaper. Some prices (in dirhams): dates-6.75 per kg, peeled and chopped pineapples-9.50, shawarma -4, huge shrimp-36.60, shark (fish for a couple of kilos) -11 per kg
-practically in the hotel-McDonald's and other food courts. And there is not a big grocery store if you don't want to go to Lu-Lu
It takes 25-30 minutes to get to the center (taxi fare is about 35-40 dirhams), to Deira - 15 minutes (travel is 20 dirhams). It takes 10 minutes to get to the beach (taxi costs 15 dirhams)
TRANSFER
-Daily at 9.30 to the beach at 13.00 - from the beach. And daily to Deira (Gold market, fish market and spice market - it's all there): at 17.00 - City Center / Nasser Square and at 21.30 back.
BEACH
paid... Entrance - 5, towel - 5, umbrella - 10, tapchan - 15. Water, sand are excellent, BUT... the beach is dirty: a lot of gobies . . I understand that tourists like us are to blame. but not nice . But there is also a plus - on the beach near the locker rooms there is a pump room with a cold one!! ! drinking water. so we didn’t take water to the beach, but on the contrary, we even took it “home”.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The hotel changed at 3.6 for $ 1. There is a bank nearby (a couple of minutes walk) they changed 3.67 there
EXCURSIONS
We took 3 at the hotel and one on the beach (in Aribia). On the beach it turns out cheaper, but taking into account that to = place. From where the bus picks up you still need to go, it turns out the same thing. What to order at the hotel. But here is the guide from the hotel to us I didn’t get any: by that cop, thanks to the guide from Arabian, I knew more about Dubai than she told us (((
I recommend a MANDATORY (if you plan to take them at all) safari and go to the water park, which is not transferable emotions. In addition to these two, we also went to the panoramic and modern Dubai with a visit to the Burj Khalifa observation deck.
p. s. In general, if we decide to go to Dubai again, then we will go to this hotel with pleasure. I recommend it.
-
I recommend excursions from Arabian Knights, I especially liked the guide Volodya (excursion to the Indian Ocean) - he gives 150%, next time we will go to Al Ain with him : )
I think the lack of balconies and opening windows is the main drawback of this hotel, because. remoteness is compensated by a free bus from the hotel. Getting back with him is not always convenient, you can take a taxi. Taxi prices are reasonable 20-35 dirhams per trip. (in rubles from 160 to 280 depending on the point of departure Nasser Square or Dubai Mall).
True, due to the remoteness of the hotel, there are still problems with excursions - representatives of the Aladdin travel agency generally do not want to take them on excursions, in particular on a sightseeing tour, from the hotel - only from the beach, and even very early. Arabian Knight is taken on an excursion, but they are not returned to the hotel, they are left at the Dubai Mall.
There is an agency at the hotel to pick up and return to the hotel, they don't mind, they just cheat terribly. TA representative Svetlana assured us - wait in the room, I will call when you are taken to the safari. We waited in a damp room for more than 2 hours until they came for us and there were no calls from Svetlana. The next day, Svetlana categorically refused her words, saying that we ourselves should have called her...
But the food at the hotel is very decent - fruits for breakfast in the range, pastries, cheese, porridge, etc. Everything is delicious and edible. The service and attendants are also at the level, the cleaning in the room is normal, they left tips for 5 dirhams, there was always a fresh bottle of water, tea and coffee bags. At the reception, they normally speak English, you can ask everything, because. the representative of the TEZ tour never showed up to meet the tourists, although we arrived immediately - 12 people, only at the reception they handed envelopes from the TEZ tour with prices for excursions.
I liked that the hotel has a sauna, you can warm up after cold and damp rooms. There is a microscopic pool and bleach shakes not childishly, but this is also a plus, because. in the presence of the sun, you can sunbathe near it, and the service at the pool is at the level and sunbeds with mattresses and towels are available. Unlike the beach, where you pay money for entry, and then you also pay for naked sunbeds without tables, and for an umbrella - a separate fee.
Al Mamzar beach itself is dirty and uncomfortable, but the park is super, a lot of greenery, equipped places for barbecues.
In general, perhaps due to the lack of good weather, the UAE did not seem like a place where you can go for a beach holiday. Shopping also did not strike the imagination - nothing cheap was found in the famous malls, although the shopping festival had already begun, prices were at the level of Moscow. We walked through fur coat shops, for good Italian fur coats from the latest collections they asked for an average of $ 5.000, hinting at a possible small bargain (Braschi, Pelicia, EGO). Chinese-made fur coats could be looked at for 2500.
I got the impression that one can go and see the country once, no more. Of course, the Arabs were amazed by their artificial islands, chic hotels Atlantis and Burj al Arab, and the tallest building in the world - the Burj Khalifa, sheikhs' palaces and the general standard of living of the indigenous population, as well as the competent policy of the country's leadership in the name of its people.
