The two-star Hotel La Mola, where I spent two weeks in March 2017, has more advantages than disadvantages. The disadvantages include, perhaps, only the settlement there at the end of the week by groups of Spaniards - couples in love, companies of friends and families with small children - who are unusually noisy and completely incomprehensible that other people live in the hotel besides them, who want to sleep peacefully at night.

Another small minus is the admission of dogs to the hotel, which, being abandoned for several hours by the owners, begin to howl.
The rest is pretty good. Breakfast is monotonous and meager (fried eggs, beans, tomato mash, cheese, ham, bread, croissants, yoghurts, jam in boxes), but with watermelons and melons, quite tolerable coffee and almost real butter. Dinner is not at this hotel, but at the Encamp Hotel, where you walk for 7 minutes. For dinner, they give meat and - every day! - fish. There is a simple soup, vegetables, pizza, potatoes and pasta, some dessert, fruit. You won't stay hungry.
The location of La Mola Hotel is very advantageous. opposite is the ski bus stop (Funibus), which stops every 20-30 minutes and after 5 stops you are already at the Funicamp station, from where the elevator will take you to the huge Grandvalira ski area.
For lovers of mountain tourism and trekking, there is an excellent route that starts right in front of the hotel on the other side of the street. This is an hour and a half way to Engolasters Lake, a place where you must visit. But you need sneakers, as the trail is rocky and in some places the climb angle is 30-40 degrees.
The girls at the reception are always friendly and ready to help, but you need to speak at least English.
Cleaning is daily, but linen is changed only once a week.
You should ask for a room closer to the river - the noise of cars from the street will not be heard so much.
