I traveled with my wife and two children ages 3 and 5. In general, I liked it, especially for children, it can be recommended for a relaxing family holiday. Nature is just amazing! One can understand Raisa Maksimovna Gorbachev, who liked Stalin's dacha so much. In August, the water temperature is almost like in the Red Sea, but, of course, you will not find such abundant subtropical greenery in Egypt. A brood of wild boars was observed in the forest along the road, and trout fry were fed in the nearest stream.
No one left the dining room hungry, but there could have been more fruit. However, this is a common problem for Abkhazia - the markets of Gagra and Pitsunda are full of imported peaches and grapes from Turkey.
Of the shortcomings - pebbles at the entrance to the water (mostly sand on the shore), not enough sun loungers on the beach and air conditioners in the rooms and dining room. I would like to recommend the administration to end the noisy fun in a cafe on the beach at least until one in the morning, clear the paths near the boarding house for walking and equip a playground. Special thanks, by the way, to Lyudmila, who entertained our children in the children's room on the 12th floor.
