Escape to the Cape of Good Hope from cold January.
Here we are back from our trip. It is very difficult now to briefly put all the impressions into words, because there are sooooooooooooo…. Every day was very busy for us, a great route for a week in the eastern part of the country was just excellent (in total we drove almost 2.000 km! )
The most popular and standard tourist attractions such as Table Mountain and the Cape of Good Hope have had an effect. What views from Table Mountain! . Unusually, but we touched these clouds with our hands! When we visited it (on the first day of arrival), I really regretted that I was not a botanist - the flora is simply amazing in its diversity!
In addition to Cape Town and its environs, we visited the famous Wine Route, tasting excellent wines! My husband just fell in love with Franschhoe, where we spent the day. We visited the world's oldest operating ostrich farm and my husband even rode an ostrich.
We spent an unforgettable day in a reserve lost in the savannah and mountains, with an overnight stay in a 5-star bungalow and a jeep trip to see wild animals at sunset and at 5 am the next day (http://www. sanbona. com/). Then two days were at the southernmost point of Africa - Cape Agulhas, where 2 oceans meet - Indian and Atlantic. Beauty is extraordinary! There are such beaches, dunes! During this trip, nature changed so much - there are a lot of greenery and trees along the coast, and in the continental part it is much hotter, colorless grass, low bushes and how nice it is to go to the ocean again and once again admire its greatness.
What else do you remember? Surprise, but the stars! I have never seen such a sky! The Milky Way is just like in an astronomy textbook! Bright stars and clear constellations! Something indescribable!
In the botanical garden, they were amazed at the variety of plants and their size (I didn’t know that this tree was scarlet! With a strong trunk).
The most beautiful museum-aquarium is an unforgettable sight.
There was also a lot of unusual and interesting and new. It was great to talk to the locals and get their opinion on politics and life in South Africa.
