This was our first solo trip. Vietnam is exactly the strange place where you can and should go on your own. We ordered both visas and excursions through a Vietnamese agency, which turned out to be an order of magnitude lower.
From excursions: Saigon. Hanoi. We walked around and had a lot of fun. Sapa. Then a flight to about. Phu Quoc beach holiday 8 nights.
Flight - Emirates. The service is wonderful, they fed to slaughter, the plane is wonderful - the only thing on the control panel is no USB output, which upset (like food for example for a laptop or phone, or as an option for watching your movies). By the way, I didn’t find a single film in Russian, which was very upsetting. They poured - whatever you want and as much as you want, which after the greedy UIA was very pleased)))
We got to Phu Quoc after 6 days of excursions and wanted only rest, relaxation and tranquility....which we received in full.
I liked the hotel very much. There was a feeling that we live in a botanical garden....The hotel is small. But very green and everything was in it. You can even say few people.
Service at the highest level. Always a smile, no obtrusiveness, they made the bed 2 times a day, all kinds of shampoos and lotions - spa care from natural ingredients. A trifle, but nice... and so in everything....Little things, but very pleasant)))
Beach: the water is quiet and calm, calm, but when it was hot in the afternoon in the afternoon, something tingled in the water, which, one might say, was not very pleasant. The water is neither blue nor turquoise. It is more like an ordinary yellowish, greenish blue... Although in fact it is the Gulf of Thailand and maybe I want too much)))
Somewhere at 11 in the morning they deliver water (for free), cold towels and dessert (like ice cream) - it was very nice. Let me remind you, the hotel was taken only for breakfast.
Food prices are amazing - 5-10 dollars per person. We went to the night market a couple of times. But I can't say that I liked it there. Prepared from fresh ingredients - almost everything is grilled. Maybe after 2 weeks of shrimp, I just didn’t want to look at them anymore, I don’t know))
They make very tasty smoothies - milk, pineapple, banana, mango. Somehow I was afraid at first, but then I decided that everything would be fine - and really the drink is very tasty and the condition after it is also very good. To be honest, when I went to Vietnam, they told several stories about poisoning, and I thought that I would be afraid of everything everywhere. But then I decided that everything will be fine with me. It was like that all the way.
Went for a massage to the left of the hotel -Aroma Spa - 16 USD. Vietnamese massage 60 min. I liked the detox massage more. I advise. Purely. They don't do it badly.
From the cafe, if you go to the right there is Arcadia resturant - I liked it the most, beach, sunset, sea, cocktail....
Although at the exit from the hotel there is immediately a cafe - they cook delicious, fresh, and very cheap. somewhere 5-7 dollars dinner.
What can I say, I didn't want to leave. If there was an opportunity, I would still stay for 2 weeks. There is absolutely nothing to do in the evening. Calmness and once again calmness.
The hotel has free Wi-Fi. Transfer from the airport to the hotel is free, which is very pleased.
At the night market - free of charge, back by taxi - about 5 dollars.
Kayaks, table tennis, volleyball - free of charge.
The prices in the hotel for the Spa salon bite... everything is in the region of 40 -50 dollars.
Breakfasts are delicious, like everywhere else - waffles, pancakes, omelettes, cereals, salads, fruits (rambutan, dragon's eye, papaya, bananas, pomegranate, mango, pineapple) - I don't even know what else)))).... maybe borscht? ( joke)

On excursions around the island: 1) there is a panoramic view of Bao beach (it seems that is the name of the most beautiful beach on the island), a waterfall, a black pepper plantation, etc. half a day if I'm not mistaken. It costs about 12 dollars.
2) night fishing - from 17.00 squid fishing
3) we liked it for the whole day - pick up at 8.30 - go half an hour to the boat - visit 3 islands, snorkeling, bring to a pearl farm, BAO beach for photos, and another lunch... just a miracle - costs 16 dollars.
We found it near the hotel - how to go outside, near the second store where water is sold) when you are there, you will immediately understand.
The price of water in the store opposite the hotel is 0.5 dollars. Beer $0.75 NOT prices, but a dream.
We booked tickets for a flight to Phu Quoc on the Vietnam Airlines website. $75 round trip. By the way, at the airport they ask you to show the card with which you made the payment.
On the way back, if time permits, be sure to go to the market in Saigon.
Bus 152 runs from the airport - it costs about 15 cents))) They will charge 10 dollars for a taxi, although the meter says 6 dollars.
You can buy anything in the market. I bought hairpins -4-5 dollars. Wallets such as fake-30dol ala Hermes, given for 15 dollars. Coffee-with cups-very tasty-take the one that is more expensive. Tea with ginseng and white. Then I regretted that I bought so little)))

10/13/12 Breakfast. Departure to the airport. At 12.30 flight to Hanoi. Arrived at 2. Checked in. We went for a walk to the lake, walked around the city, ate, at 21.00 the puppet theater. Liked.
14.10 - departure to Halong. The tour includes: travel (the road takes 3.5 hours one way), lunch, visiting the cave, the way back. It costs $45 for one day.
14.10 returned back to 8 pm, picked up the suitcases at the hotel, at 21.50 train to Sapa (Lao Cai) (excursion to Sapa costs 180 dollars per person with travel by train (round trip), 1 night in the hotel, 2 excursions, hotel Boutique Sapa 3+)
15.10 We arrived in Lao Cai - transfer to Sapa 40 min. Check in hotel. Walk to the waterfall and the village of Cat Cat - which took half a day. Then we settled in, washed ourselves, and rode motorbikes with a guide to the Silver Falls, and through the villages to the colored Hmong. Costs $12 per person. Renting an otobike is $5-6, but we didn't risk it).
