I stayed at the hotel in the middle of February. Booked through booking. com for 12 days ($50 per night). I was looking for a secluded hotel on the beach. I stayed at the hotel in the middle of February. Booked through booking. com for 12 days ($50 per night). I was looking for a secluded hotel on the beach. The photos of the hotel on the website were confusing. The location of the hotel is indicated incorrectly, and the photos of the beach are misleading. In fact, the hotel is not located on the coast and does not have direct access to the beach. You need to go along a dusty and dirty road, very smelly in places, about 600m. The hotel does not have its own beach. All sunbeds and umbrellas are the property of other hotels. You have no right to borrow them even for money, but must be content to rest on the sand under the mercilessly scorching sun. There is practically no vegetation and shade on the shore to hide from the sun's rays. So heat stroke and burns are guaranteed. There is also no opportunity to use the shower, as the happy inhabitants of other hotels do. The sea itself is very clean and gentle. The sand is fine and pleasant. But there are a lot of people on the beach, sunbeds are right next to each other.
New Siong Bungalow (or motel, as it used to be called) immediately disappointed. This is not a bungalow at all, but two blocks facing each other, in which the rooms are located. The hotel has no territory as such, except for a narrow path about one and a half meters wide between these blocks. There is no garden, no veranda, no terrace where one could sit. The hotel is in full swing renovation work from morning to evening. Do not expect to come on a hot afternoon to relax in your room. The hotel staff will do their best to ruin your holiday. When they are not drilling or sawing anything, they are playing billiards or shouting among themselves. It is also noisy at night, as some vacationers recklessly play billiards and accompany each blow with exclamations. So, earplugs will not be superfluous at all if you still dare to visit New Siong.
Dust, dirt, building materials were all around, I had to constantly step over tiles, boards, etc. scattered on the floor. There is a pile of dirty tools on the dining table even during breakfast. I simply stopped going to these breakfasts, not wanting to risk my health in such unsanitary conditions. I tried to reduce the length of my stay at the hotel, but I was categorically denied this. No discount for inconvenience caused. The main manager of the hotel, a Vietnamese girl named Cindy, promised from the first day that "the renovation will be completed tomorrow", she also promised to drop the price, but the promises remained...
In general, this is the first time I have come across such an attitude towards hotel guests from the management. Cindy and her partner were very aggressive and even hostile. They were looking for the slightest reason to go to the conflict or to breed for money. It is even disgusting to remember, a feeling of uncleanliness and dishonesty.
In this area, you could find a better and cheaper hotel. And, of course, for the money paid, you do not expect such a boorish attitude. Have a nice holiday everyone.
