I decided to write a short review, one might say thesis. At the end of the review, I attach a video in which I shot the territory of the hotel.
We flew to Vietnam in February 2017. We booked the hotel ourselves, through Booking (https://www. tourister. ru/go/e8570a). We were lucky and we got the room with a 40% discount.
Of all the hotels in Mui Ne, Romana Resort & Spa is the first. Hotels in Mui Ne have a number of features related to the beach and location.
Upon arrival at the hotel, a welcome drink is offered at the reception. The staff are all very friendly, smiling and answering all questions. Only they do not understand Russian at all, but they speak English perfectly.
We got the room, as requested in advance, on the 3rd floor. Ask for the 2nd or 3rd floor, because the first floor is right on the ground and everyone who walks along the paths can see what you are doing. Most of all in the room, we liked the balcony, which offers a gorgeous view of the ocean and the greenery of the hotel. The room itself is large, with a huge and very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with a complete set of necessary things in the form of soap, shampoo, shower gel, toothbrushes and toothpaste. There was even a shower cap. The cleaning of the room was frequent and of high quality.
The territory of the hotel, as I said, is all in greenery, flowers and paths. It's nice to play.
A large pool, but it is better to take places near it in advance, for example, putting a towel on and only then go for breakfast. That's what everyone does. Do not be shy.
The hotel has its own, large and clean beach. An uncle in a national hat walks along it and says where you can swim and where not.
The breakfasts are good, a wide choice of dishes of both local and European cuisine. Lots of fresh fruit.
We left Mui Ne on a slipbus. The hotel employee took us to the stop on the hotel's golf cart for free.
In general, the hotel left a very good impression. My wife and I recommend and rate it as high as possible.
For those who are interested, here is a link to a video about the hotel https://youtu. be/tenQG2bhnOo

All hotel rooms with balconies, air conditioning, mini - bar and coffee maker. The restaurants serve excellent dishes of European and Asian cuisine. You won't try everything, but you really want to. There is also a jacuzzi and a sauna. And finally, I realized my dream - I rode a motorcycle that you can rent. In addition to motorcycles, you can take a bicycle.

We arrived at 23.00, it felt like I was alone in the hotel. I ran around the restaurant in search of at least someone to feed me and the child. There was nothing to eat except pasta and pizza, I had to agree. I paid $50 for a modest dinner. The breakfast was decent, but in the morning I didn’t need anything other than coffee and toast, the child ate omelettes and cereal with milk. Fruits were varied and juices.
The territory is not bad, but there is nowhere to roam and go down the high stone steps to the sea. The beach is clean but not big and secluded. There is no bar on the beach, I also think it's a minus.
It’s impossible to lie by the pool because when there are 50 Chinese people and everyone is shouting and jumping into the pool at the same time, I feel sick.
There is a free bus to Mui Ne, but only in the morning and afternoon, and there is nothing to do there at this time. I went by taxi. To the restaurant Snow-170 thousand, to the fishing village 220 thousand one way. It would seem not expensive, but if you count for 11 days, it turns out decently.
For a child in the hotel, except for the children's pool and jacuzzi, there is no entertainment.
Lived on the third floor, the elevator did not work, like a trifle and not nice.
In principle, all the little things were smoothed out by the good weather, excursions and delicious food in the restaurants of Mui Ne and the fishing village. I have a lot of impressions, I will definitely return to Vietnam, but I will choose a tour in advance and go to a hotel in the center. I really liked the Terracotta and Bonbien hotels, the location is good, the beaches are excellent.

A hotel for pensioners and very lazy people, for whom relaxation is lying by their own pool with a laptop... There is absolutely nothing else to do there and you will have to constantly run away from the hotel..... But in order: 1. . . BEACH - in fact, why do we go so far in winter... But there is actually no beach in Roman !! ! A small piece of sand surrounded by rocks on all sides! The entry into the sea is sandy.

A hotel for pensioners and very lazy people, for whom relaxation is lying by their own pool with a laptop... There is absolutely nothing else to do there and you will have to constantly run away from the hotel..... But in order:
1. . . BEACH - in fact, why do we go so far in winter... But there is actually no beach in Roman !! ! A small piece of sand surrounded by rocks on all sides! The entry into the sea is sandy... but strictly along the fairway marked by buoys and on the stones there is a guard watching and yelling if you swim up to the buoys... Those who want to swim normally are simply forbidden to do this - they start yelling at the whole "beach" In general, you can splash a little on a patch of 50 by 50 meters There is absolutely nowhere to walk along the beach, you can take a taxi to the beach in Mui Ne and walk there and swim normally, which we had to do...
2. . . The pool - I don’t need it at all on vacation - I swim in the pool as much as I like in Moscow... But beer cans and other garbage blown into the pool by the wind were constantly floating here - left on the sun lounger is removed very soon, here it is flies into the water, and it is not quickly removed from the water...
3. . . The hotel itself is a normal 4, but if you look at the rest of the hotels in Mui Ne, you will immediately understand - Romana VERY STRONGLY LOSES to all of them in terms of its architecture and territory !! ! The architecture of the buildings is purely European, with many terraces and stairs, which does not initially set you up for relaxation and relaxation... The territory is generally terrible (I’m telling you as an architect) how could such a large space be used so mediocrely !! ! There is nowhere to walk, solid hedges that you run into noso, simple ponds are not beautiful, and even smell of rotten stuff! Vegetation is already scarce, and even what is there dries up... Labyrinths from clipped bushes - you can’t think of a dumber one !! ! Even their lawn is not growing normally! In general, the territory is boring and not interesting... And in most other hotels - the territory is just a feast for the eyes! Like in paradise gardens!
4. . . Meals. . . Breakfasts are quite normal (I think everywhere in Mui Ne), but on excursions you understand - you are from the most greedy hotel - no one else has such a meager lunch package !! ! Lunches and dinners at the hotel are VERY EXPENSIVE!! ! Even a cocktail is one and a half times more expensive than in hotels in Mui Ne... (I don’t even compare with restaurants)
5. . . Location. . . This has already been mentioned - it is very far from everyone else! Romana is simply the latest, there is no way beyond it at all! Don't even try to walk! I don’t know who might like it, only those who don’t stick their nose out of the hotel... But there’s nowhere to walk around at all - we tried to walk along the beach to the palm trees not far away - we pricked all our legs with thorns and didn’t see anything interesting.
Summary - don't go there! Romana loses to all other hotels in Mui Ne on all counts! It is not for nothing that there are always free places there, and in other hotels everything is sold out already in half a year !! ! Here's the conclusion! There is always something worse!! ! And it costs the same as the other fours.
PS They say that the plus is that there is "silence" in Roman - ha ha, when 100 Chinese people drove in, it became so "quiet" that they had to sleep with ear plugs !! !

Hotel Romana resort and spa.
Booking. com offered us a villa with sea view, with breakfast, for $84 per night, while the hotel offered it for $175. This predetermined the choice. There was a desire to take a villa in the Victoria hotel, it was offered for $ 215 per day. Let's say right away that if we take into account the cost in Romana from the counter, i. e. 175 per day, then we must definitely take Victoria for 215. Victoria is definitely the best, we would even say the only best hotel in the resort.
Romana and Victoria have a secluded location (these hotels are 3 minutes drive from each other), away from the local walking street. We don’t want to offend anyone, but if you like something like that, fly to Turkey or Egypt, save a lot of money and time on the road.
Walking street is a rather dirty place strewn with boutiques with cheap and low-quality fakes, all kinds of food with Russian names, this is essentially not Vietnam.
I wonder if there would be 156 million people in Romania, would such resort places be strewn with inscriptions in Romanian? !
By the way, the expensive five of the famous Anantara chain stands on the same street, but this is probably one of her most unsuccessful projects. The hotel is expensive, but in itself is not worth the money that is asked for it, hotels with such prices cannot stand in such places.
Returning to Romana:
-good and beautiful territory;
-quite friendly staff;
- more or less decent English only at the reception (if you want to use the room service, call the reception directly);
- with some reservations, a normal restaurant with an average cuisine in our opinion and decent enough food prices, alcohol prices are adequate;
- ironing is very inexpensive, but it is not of very high quality, but quite acceptable in resort realities;
- there was a sufficient amount of living creatures, a mouse lived in our villa, large flying cockroaches periodically came across, there was one frog, but in general everything was fine in this regard; the only minus that is very significant for us is the evening midge (it is silent in the villa, respectively), it is not visible / not heard, but it bites everything. . Buy something to protect against them, it brings out in earnest;
- in our villa the air conditioning was noisy at night;
- there are no complaints about the pool at the villa in terms of water quality;
- TV did not turn on, we do not know;
- the refrigerator worked, everything is ok;
- normal breakfasts;
- Cleaning is normal, I would even say satisfactory. They have one peculiarity: if you ordered something from food, then they put the dishes from under it next to the entrance to the villa, which, most likely, according to the plan, should be removed by other services, the set of which has not yet begun. We have everything stood for a week, periodically replenished.
- the beach is not stone, as for some reason they write in other reviews, it is sandy with a smooth entrance to the sea. We do not know how it is in other months, but at the end of November the sea is not calm, there are waves. Towels, sunbeds - free of charge.
- the local spa is pleasant enough, but the prices are high for Vietnam, which is probably why it was almost always empty when we passed by. We used it once, when we got burned, we did a wrap. Basically, we went to the spa, which is a minute away from the hotel (its appearance is not presentable, compared to the hotel, but the quality of the massage is the same for the price three times lower) who needs it, we can give contacts. By the way, there is a good steam room there;
- wifi. We needed it for work, and here, of course, the main disadvantage is that it is only not at the reception, they say that it is still in the restaurant, but our iPads did not find it there. There is nothing in the room.
Next to the reception there is a small room with two stationary computers and wired normal internet;
- as a result, $ 84 is an adequate price for this villa with breakfast, the villas themselves are quite shabby, compared to villas in the same Victoria.
Tip for buying food/drinks outside the hotel:
We went to the coop mart, which is located in Phan Thiet (about $ 6 for the cost of a taxi per way one way), this is a traditional supermarket where locals are bought, just be prepared that there are a lot of them. There we drank water, beer, fruit, etc. In principle, you can go there once at the very beginning, the price tag for everything is very attractive.
As for restaurants, or rather a restaurant outside the hotel, it is definitely the best / with excellent service, decor and, most importantly, brilliant cuisine (it may well not upset the stomachs of those who are used to A. Novikov's restaurants or, say, the Ginza project) is a restaurant at the Victoria Hotel.
Good selection of Aussie/French/Italian etc. wines, there is a menu with both Vietnamese dishes and a western menu (there is also a good Australian lamb though at the right price, different pastas, French onion soup, gazpacho) Gorgeous desserts, we tried everything .
We met the chef, a very interesting Vietnamese who speaks good English, which is interesting, he has been running this restaurant for the entire 15 years that the restaurant has been operating.
What is also very important: the restaurant is located on the veranda in close proximity to the sea, which only adds to the romance.
We dined there every night, paying $70-$120 for a dinner for two, never regretting a single cent.
General advice on taxi drivers / transfers: everything is inexpensive, but we often took a taxi, there are taxi drivers who allegedly do not have change and they do not understand English, although they could understand until the moment of payment, there were also those who, with a straight face, gave less change (although they don’t “squeeze out” much), so have it with you exactly for the calculation, and for tea “to taste”.

Let me start off by saying thank you so much. firm "Bungalow" for the rest provided to us. We flew through Moscow, because we took a 14-day vacation. The flight went smoothly, but for a long time. On the plane 10 hours, then 5 hours on the bus, in principle, everything is tolerable. The hotel is quiet, the staff is not intrusive, smiling. Very beautiful, green and well-groomed territory. The room is excellent, a huge bed, slippers, bathrobes, air conditioning, I won’t list everything, in general, a complete set. The view from the window to the sea, by the way, in any room this view. Swimming pool with jacuzzi, there is a pool for children. The beach is private, every morning it is cleaned, even the sand is sifted through a sieve))). Breakfasts were pleasing, which was not there, and freshly squeezed juices, fruits, meat, cheese, delicious pastries. In principle, everything about the hotel, I give it a solid five, there are no complaints. All evenings spent in Phan Thiet, it's 5 minutes. by taxi (USD 1) There are a lot of various restaurants, with any cuisine, spa centers, shops and souvenir shops. So that in the evenings you will not be bored. I highly recommend Vietnam to everyone. It was the best holiday for me and my girlfriends. I would be happy to help, because when I chose the hotel myself, there were few reviews on it.
