The hotel left a good impression, I put a strong four. We arrived in the evening and check in was quick. The territory of the hotel is medium in size, well-groomed, there are many decorative flowering bushes and trees. Successfully planted coconut palms, below the bare trunks do not take up much space, and a lush crown like an umbrella covers from the sun. Our room was in the largest building on the third floor. The crown of the palm tree was right next to the balcony, covering from the sun and other people's views, which created a comfortable cozy atmosphere. The balconies of the bungalows and rooms of the lower floors are in close proximity to the paths along which vacationers and numerous hotel staff walk. The rooms are cleaned daily, the quality of cleaning is four. Bed linen was not changed even once in 10 days, only re-made. Towels are changed daily, the started bottle of shampoo and shower gel is immediately changed to a new one. Every day they bring tea, instant coffee 3 in 1 and a bottle of water. The room has a kettle and hairdryer. The bed linen is not shiny, a little washed out, there are stains on the towels. But we didn’t get hung up on this, we came to the sea to relax. Any issues that arose were resolved immediately by the staff. A separate conversation about breakfast, everything here is excellent. The range of dishes is constantly changing. Every day there were two types of meat dishes, be sure to Vietnamese soup, several salads, vegetable dishes, purely rice flour dishes (dumplings, something like dumplings, buns), fry an omelette to your taste. As well as 4 types of juices, 4 types of fruits (papaya, pineapple, watermelon, mini bananas, dragon fruit) daily, good buns, a couple of types of homemade pastries and desserts. Wi-fi in our room is weak, but I heard a review that it pulls perfectly. Apparently, how lucky. The beach is wide, fine white sand. The sea is always with waves, it is dangerous for children to swim there. The wind is constantly blowing, because of this, the heat is easier to bear.

It didn’t work out with Thailand and for some reason they refused. We decided to go to Vietnam and decided as soon as possible, since we had to return to Moscow. We asked for something urgent to Vietnam and after 15 minutes of calling we were offered to fly the next day. We agreed.
On Monday morning we were already in their office and received documents. Flight to Nha Trang and going to rest at the OCEAN STAR hotel in Phanhiet. We just now found out that Fanhiet and Mui Ne are not quite the same thing. The flight was wonderful.
Individual transfer and we are in the booked hotel in 4 hours. And here is another little joy we have the replacement of the bungalow, instead of the GARDEN VIEW bungalow we get the BEACH FRONT bungalow, that is, by the very blue sea or, more correctly, the greenish sea, this is exactly the color in Mui Ne.
The hotel is wonderful, a large well-groomed green area - located in the heart of the resort area. It remains only to enjoy life, the sea, the sun. What we did for 2 weeks. On the way back we spent 1 day in Nha Trang, which is also very convenient and from there we flew to Moscow.
We recommend both the hotel and the tour company.

We went to Vietnam after Sri Lanka with caution, and even read the reviews. What is scary at first is the traffic: a sea of bikers following their own rules and a transfer bus driving to the hotel at an average speed of 29 km/h and that's 7 hours. We got to the hotel in the dark, hungry and exhausted, even where we arrived at first did not pay attention. The porter tried to take my backpack straight from the bus. The poor boy (although he may be 30-40 years old) was able to pick up my backpack only at the reception. Our group was small and we were seated quickly. I observed the settlement of the Chinese - they were still given cool green tea. The porter took us to our room. He showed everything, and calmly left for himself - here they surprised me. And when we did give him a tip, he was very surprised - either a terrific actor or...
We rested, it was raining, we didn’t want to go anywhere - but oh, how we wanted to eat. And we went to a restaurant from the hotel. And they were the most satisfied of our entire group: chic service, incredibly tasty and hearty cream soup and pizza with tuna. And at the end of a terrible day with a 10 hour flight and a 7 hour transfer - we were finally full and satisfied. But these were only flowers.
Morning 5.30. I'm going for a run with thoughts that I'm going to explore the territory. I leave the room and... there was no limit to the squeals - the sea is a few steps away !!!!!!!! ! Having fulfilled the plan - after running the territory of the hotel for 10-15 minutes, I went to run along the beach in sneakers. And this is a bad business. Since then I have only run barefoot.
Breakfast was different, not in terms of variety, but different. When more vacationers came, and this happened on weekends, the locals also rested, there were a lot of dishes. But there are always cucumbers, tomatoes, a few salads, greens, pho soup or some other, I didn’t understand. Tea, coffee, milk, water, juices were natural - even with foam, fruits, pastries, for those who wish, scrambled eggs and toasts.
We dined at the hotel restaurant several times. The service is always top notch and everything is delicious. And they gave us a bonus lunch, just as great.
The staff speaks English, but they also understand pointing gestures. Although their English is so Vietnamese - melodious and blurry.
Cleaning was daily - the floor washed with something from mosquitoes, clean towels, fresh linen, new shampoo, gel, toothbrushes, comb and cap! The hat that made me smile the most, although my sister found it very useful. True, cleaning can come at any time, and now they only speak Vietnamese! If you didn’t have time to put up a sign, come back later - express all requests in Vietnamese or put up - since they came and you didn’t warn them in advance, they will remove it. We somehow got used to the fact that they save us somewhere after dinner, and returning after breakfast did not expect to meet the cleaners, but here's a surprise. I had to dress like this.
Wi-fi always catches at the reception, and in good weather looks into the rooms. If the rain is torrential only the reception.
And the lizards came to us. We went to the reception - the girls probably thought that I was showing off. And when they realized that we were afraid that they would bite us, they friendly explained that they were safe and everywhere, even at the reception. Maybe then they laughed at us from the bottom of their hearts, but not during work. We personally laughed.
The beach, as mentioned, is close. And since it's out of season the sunbeds were free. There is one very terrible fungus - it is low even for the Vietnamese, we tested its strength with our heads - it hurts. All the rest are normal, we did not come across other low ones.
The pool is great and the water is always warm. I only swam there in the morning. Officially you can swim from 6 am to 10 pm. Jacuzzis are turned on by request: there is an employee near the pool, if you show a little curiosity, the employee will turn on the jacuzzi for you.
And the most magical thing about the hotel is rocking chairs! This is brilliant! I want one like this for my home. Not ordinary rocking chairs - they work by lifting and lowering the legs!
In general, we really liked the hotel! Just like Vietnam!

Vietnam exceeded all expectations, delicious food, nice people, cleanliness, wonderful climate and nature. On the hotel: we lived in a garden villa, a spacious room in ethno-styles, a bath, two large 1.5-sleeping beds, a beautiful canopy above them, rocking chairs on the veranda. Cleaning every day, no complaints. The hotel is very green, everywhere there are palm trees, flowers, the staff is constantly cleaning something up. Breakfasts are hearty and varied. The problem with sunbeds is only because of the Russian-speaking guests themselves. No need to borrow sunbeds and go on excursions or drink in the room....the picture is empty sunbeds occupied with towels....but it’s quite possible to lie on a towel... .

Hello dear travelers and vacationers! My husband and I rested in this hotel from March 17.2012 to March 30.2012. I want to say right away that we are far from picky people, we rested with pleasure despite the big, in my opinion, nuances !! ! The hotel is located in the center of Mui Ne, which is very convenient! The hotel is medium in size, very well maintained, beautiful. There is only one pool (small, it is not illuminated in the evening, although the illumination is provided), the light around the pool is turned on only on request in the evening, and it gets dark in Vietnam at 18.00, at 18.30 it is completely dark. . . The pool bar closes at 17.00, the cocktails are not tasty and expensive! (((Breakfasts are excellent! Varied, delicious! Juices are not natural, they are poured from packages !! ! Room. We took a deluxe villa, far from the cheapest option - this is a house for 2 rooms with a common veranda, if you are traveling with four or more - this is convenient if not, then you will have to share this veranda with strangers. . . We had room 241, sooo small, simple, not beautiful, there is no mosquito net over the bed, the walls are shabby, the bed is not double, they connected 2 single beds (it was extremely uncomfortable!!!!!! ), the room is dark, in the bathroom on There was water on the floor all the time, because the plumbing was not working properly (by the way, on the last day of our stay in this room, they came and fixed it... ))) Mosquitoes are poisoned only when contacting the reception. . . We met a couple who took a bungalow, they were also not happy with the room service, and they also had a rat and did not let them sleep at night. The bungalow by the sea is sooooo noisy! You can hear the sea by the pool during the day, and at night I can’t even imagine, such noise !! ! I want to note that the hotel is 4 stars, and you pay for 4 stars, deluxe villa room for 2, no more, service for 3 no more! Will explain. . . The rooms are cleaned badly, despite the tips (a dollar a day, believe me, this is not a little money for them! ) Only the pastels are changed and refilled, towels are changed, the floors and dust have never been wiped !! ! Shampoos and gels are put on only when you use them completely, and you must do it every day, coffee is reported when they see fit, so you can be left without coffee one morning. . . The hotel also has pluses, as I wrote already, a very beautiful area, a large clean beach. Complaining about the mosquitoes, a minute later they were already poisoned (later we called them to poison every day), noted D. R. of her husband, presented a bottle of wine, forgot to order dry before the tour. rations (this must be done before 19.00) came up at 23.00, ordered without problems (they did not remain hungry. . . )))) In general, the rooms and service are C-minus, everything else is 5!! ! Bottom line: we liked the rest, Vietnam is a fairy tale, but if you choose a hotel, pay attention! For the money that we gave, you can relax in a better hotel! We were not the first time in Mui Ne - this is our second trip, before that we rested in Sunny Beach (2 large pools, as soon as you approach it in the evening, as soon as they turn on the light and lighting of the pool !!! , the rooms are large, beautiful, comfortable, wash floors, dusting, etc.... ) We didn't go to this hotel just because we decided to try something else. . . I read the reviews before going to this hotel, but I thought we would like it, everything is fine!! ! But the room and service (((. . . I wish you a good rest and vivid impressions! ))) If you have any questions, write.

I rested with my wife and a friend with his, from November 20.2011 to December 2.2011. Phan Thiet twelve days, two Saigon. Departed from Domodedovo by Vietnamese airlines. Service on the plane at the level, decent food juices, whiskey, wine, vodka, beer and other drinks without any problems. If you haven’t eaten enough, then noodles at your request as much as you like. Nine hours and we are in Saigon. Registration went quickly. Saigon greeted us with tropical sweltering heat. I met a middle-aged Vietnamese who speaks Russian quite tolerably. He seated us in a half-empty bus. The road to Phan Thiet-Mui Ne took six hours, tiring but tolerable. Ice cold water from the refrigerator and air conditioning helped. On the way, our Vietnamese guide told us a lot of interesting things about the sights, culture and life of the Vietnamese. Finally we arrived at the hotel First impressions are pleasant. Villa for four with a common terrace, which is what I wanted number 221.222. The hotel area is very well maintained. coconut and banana palms, a lot of shade in such a sun is a huge plus. Linen, toiletries, cleaning every day. We went to the pool to swim and at one in the morning it was free. The people were a few sun loungers in abundance. The food is also quite tolerable, natural juices, especially delicious passion fruit, the assortment changed periodically. Yes, there are 8 caged tropical birds in the hotel at the entrance. On the left, the bird speaks well, and on the right, the bird laughs, moreover, it really laughs, we grabbed our bellies with laughter, scream. I liked the hotel more than others, very friendly atmosphere. The sea is masculine with waves. From morning to calmer, about ten low tide at fifty meters and an hour and a half high tide and waves begin in the afternoon, a paradise for kite surfing. There are many kite schools on the beach, training costs $ 50 per hour and 25 rent. You can learn in six hours, it's worth it. It gets dark early at six already dark. Now about Mui Ne, it's practically a Russian village. There are many of us, there are also Germans, Scandinavians, Americans. Along the road there are hotels, restaurants, many shops, spa salons. Sea foods are alive. You choose, they offer three options for grill, barbecue and steam, but everything is amazingly delicious. Back on the longest cable car in the world over the sea to Nyan Trang. In the evening, we rode a cycle rickshaw, bought souvenirs, went to a restaurant where, guessing that we were Russians, the staff turned on Moscow evenings for us. The city is also interesting in its own way. From it we went to the city of Dalat along the serpentine. The city is very beautiful 1500 above sea level. Pagodas, a golden Buddha, waterfalls, elephants, ostriches, many flowers, everything is well-groomed that you can bring coffee, tea, souvenirs from there. We spent the last two days in Saigon. This is a very crazy but beautiful city, bikes, mopeds. The central market is very interesting, which is not there. By the way, Vietnamese winter things are of very decent quality. A down jacket costs within a thousand rubles, factory quality, and much more is inexpensive. From Saigon we went to the Mekong River. Also a very interesting tour, I advise. It cost us 40 dollars with food and visits to the sights of the three islands. We all really enjoyed our vacation in Vietnam and would like to return there again.

Actually, the review refers more to Vietnam as a place to stay than to the hotel itself. Although we can also say a few words about the hotel. We stayed at this hotel from January 3 to January 12.2011. This is our first time in Vietnam and we are unlikely to go there again, although we went there joyfully. Holiday experiences are mixed. On the one hand, seeing the sea and palm trees in the middle of winter is, of course, good, and can make you forget about the unpleasant. But, on the other hand, all this is also in Thailand, which is closer and, from our point of view, better.
To begin with, in the restaurant of this hotel, on the second day, the wife was poisoned with fish in batter, so that she vomited all night and lay in the room all the next day. A few days later I was already poisoned, in the Forest restaurant, which was recommended to us as the best in Phan Thiet. And I got poisoned in such a way that I had to go to the clinic and spend four hours there under droppers, and then swallow pills for five days. I had to pay for the services of a doctor, because insurance from Russian insurance companies is not accepted there. Now I’ll go to Ingosstrakh for a refund, I don’t know if they will reimburse me. So, people, keep in mind that the insurance policies that you have on hand are not accepted in Vietnam, take some cash with you for these purposes.
Excursions are generally a separate song. We bought a tour of the "white sand dunes" and "fairy stream". It sounds nice, but these are such garbage dumps, and there is absolutely nothing to see there. In general, you have to walk a kilometer and a half to the dunes, there is no service, nothing interesting. They showed some red ravine, they said that it was a landmark. And everywhere impudent Vietnamese boys demanding money. Beggars are bolder than our gypsies.
Then they booked a tour to the "lying Buddha" and got stuck again. We paid 60 dollars at the Lotos travel agency, agreed that the next day a taxi would pick us up at 14:00. The next day the taxi arrived, we showed the taxi driver a receipt, he nodded his head and we drove off. We went to the Buddha, looked, returned to the hotel, and then the taxi driver demands that we pay him according to the meter (which is $ 50). Let's go to the "Lotus" to understand. There they witnessed a swearing between this taxi driver and the woman whom we paid for the tour. In between a skirmish in Vietnamese with a taxi driver, she told us in Russian that she did not send this taxi driver to us, and another taxi driver was supposed to call for us, and this one is just a deceiver... In general, a madhouse. In the end, she returned half the cost to us and that's it. The taxi driver did not lag behind us, we had to give him another ten.
Now about the sea. In Moscow, we were told in a travel agency that the sea in Phan Thiet is calm. But it's not. There is always a very strong, high wave at the sea, so it is very difficult to enter the sea. For kite surfers, this place is good, but if you just splash in the water, then not really. My wife longingly remembered Thailand. The beach at the hotel is not its own, there are few sunbeds, even less sunscreen fungi. It’s just impossible to lie on a sunbed, you burn out at the moment, and there is nowhere to hide under a canopy. Why the Vietnamese do not make canopies for vacationers remains a mystery to us.
We did not see rats in the hotel, but gray fluffy squirrels - yes.
Concluding my report, I would like to say that, in our opinion, Vietnam is still half way up to the level of a normal resort place, they still have a lot to do to reach the level of a developed resort. Compared to Pattaya, Phan Thiet is just a village: along the only street there are several restaurants with live music, several shops, pharmacies, and massage parlors. In the evening there is nowhere to go, the hotel is empty and quiet, there is no animation. No multi-storey shopping centers, theaters, bowling alleys, billiard halls, normal cafes and so on, melancholy. So we will not go to Phan Thiet anymore.

We rested from September 28 to October 11.2010. Unknown Vietnam has become for me a place where I definitely want to return! Great country! I have never had such a vacation! I definitely want to come back! We rested in Phan Thiet in a wonderful hotel "Ocean Star Resort 4 *". Convenient location in the center of the resort area. The chip of the hotel, several cages with birds hang at the reception, everyone sings. And one says: welcome and good morning. The advantage of the hotel is that it is located in a coconut-banana grove, swings, flowers, very green, well-groomed, well, extremely picturesque. Basically, it's Paradise. Employees are constantly cutting something, planting, hardworking people. The territory is much larger than in other hotels. By the way, in the town of Mui Ne, all the hotels are approximately the same. The size differs, where there is more territory, and where it is very small. The pool is clean, well-maintained, well-equipped for bathing children, and for adults, the depth reaches 2 meters. The staff is friendly, there were no problems. Everything that was supposed to stay was available: kettle, coffee, tea, cups, refrigerator, safe in the closet. The rooms are clean, a fairly large room and a bath, cleaned every day, bed and towels are changed every day, disposable toothbrushes with paste, a comb (by the way, how much I traveled, toothbrushes and a comb were the first time, which was a pleasant surprise), cotton swabs and shampoo. Beach towels were in the room and they were also changed every day. Everything is very convenient and comfortable. Food, breakfast - we liked it, everything was there, even the soup. We went to dinner at different restaurants and coffee shops, well, sooo delicious. Everywhere the menu is about the same, but cooked all the same in different ways. Very rich seafood cuisine, since the fishing village is nearby - everything is fresh, but restaurants keep the price of seafood. There are a lot of restaurants. You can try the local exotic cuisine - snake, turtle, frogs. I can advise the Madame Anya cafe, opposite the Bamboo village hotel, how to get out of our hotel and to the right, almost opposite, a very good restaurant. Delicious freshly squeezed juices 15-22 dong, with our money 30-40 rubles. (Different coffee shops have different prices). The course is something like this: 63300 dong is 100 rubles. It is very inconvenient that they have such crazy thousands. Delicious, delicious coffee in Vietnam, I didn’t drink this anywhere. Vietnam has everything - the sea, the sun, seafood, fruits, historical monuments, and shopping. Interesting excursions to the city of Dalat, which is located high in the mountains. The road to Dalat is difficult, serpentine. Therefore, I advise you to ALWAYS stock up on pills against motion sickness in transport. We were in Nyachang for two days, I liked it, I definitely need to see it. The only negative, did not like the tour operator LANTA - TOUR. The representative was a nice girl Anna, who praises herself a lot, promises a lot of things, but in reality there are only talks. Tours were not full, although not cheap. After talking on the beach with those who have already been on these excursions, we were convinced that we did not see even half of what is included in a real excursion. In this connection, I bought a ticket to Dalat from another tour operator for $ 50. and did not regret. I really hope that I will come to Vietnam more than once (but, really, I will change the tour operator). We are glad that we chose this country and the Ocean Star Resort 4 * hotel for our vacation, I advise you.

Hotel "Ocean Star Resort" is declared as a 4 star hotel. The hotel is on the 1st line, its streets lead directly to the sea. It was 30 meters from us. I will say right away - knowledgeable people confirmed these stars. The staff (including at the reception) does not speak Russian or English. The hotel has internet on the computer next to the reception.

The hotel has internet on the computer next to the reception. Few of the staff understand it, I even had to fix some failures myself. Computers are not Russified - therefore communication is only through transliteration. On the territory, as well as on the only street along the coast, there is free wi-fi.
The hotel area is very beautiful. Vietnamese hard work works wonders. The lawns are planted blade by blade, palm trees are well-groomed, everything is watered and trimmed. All day long, a whole group of attendants is engaged in cleaning and care. Walk around the territory, take pictures - it's worth it.
There are no insects - lawns and bushes are processed with something. I killed only one mosquito, in 4 days I saw three beautiful butterflies and two lizards. They turned on Fumitoks, but I think it was in vain.
The rooms are without much frills, the usual set is a TV with the only Russian channel RTR-Planet, a refrigerator, a safe, an air conditioner....Telephone communication between the rooms. Two beds. Pretty decent bathroom. You can not drink water from the tap - bottles with local mineral water are available.
In short, everything is simple and tasteful. Maybe this is not enough for someone, but I regard a hotel room as a place where you just need to sleep. I have come to the sea.
There is a decent pool, tennis courts, billiards under a canopy, sauna.
The only thing that unpleasantly surprised - some crazy prices in the hotel bar - 4 times higher than in the city. Although, in theory, it should be the other way around - the hotel guest should leave here to the maximum... You can order dinner by the pool or even on the beach - all this is easy here. Just how much will it cost. Resting. I did not know the need for money. But. . .
Meals were listed as "Breakfast Only". Breakfasts take place on a beautiful open veranda, surrounded by flowers and overlooking the sea. The very content of the breakfast is actually trite for hotels. Rice, several types of noodles, salads, sweets, juices. . . Tea, coffee. . . Fresh fruits were especially pleasing: pineapples, watermelons, a blue dragon. . . Pleasant. But the "experienced" have their own opinion. Breakfasts are rated 3 stars by a specialist. They do not yet reach the 4-star level.
The most pleasant impression of the entire vacation was left by the South China Sea. It is very reminiscent of the Mediterranean, with the only difference being that in November it is already cold in the Mediterranean. Winter. There are only two seasons - the rainy season and the dry season. And in November comes the dry season - the best time to relax. Powerful rain clouds ran along the edge of the sky, but we never got caught in the rain for the whole rest. Never. Sand. Pure white sand. And as long as in Tunisia, a sandbank - about a hundred meters from the coast. Oddly enough, during the day the sand heats up, but does not heat up like in Africa - it does not burn your legs. The water is very salty with a strong iodine smell. Very nice. And useful. The first sensation from entering the water is amazing. Warm water. In the literal sense of the word. The sea is calm in the morning and stormy in the evening. Storms are not strong - Russians bathe at least those that are !! ! At night, the excitement sometimes subsides and the Russians, having rolled on mopeds, go to get drunk on the beach with a night swim. Don't be scared if you meet someone late at night on the beach or by the pool - this is our friend. May I, without sinning, recommend "Ocean Star Resort" to you? Definitely - YES. Come - you won't regret it. The rest of the hotels are about the same level. Bravo Vietnam. Bravo Mui Ne.
