Here in the ancient land,

I have colorful dreams.

Like a blue threshold

They call me severe.

Here comes a voice from heaven.

All secrets were revealed at once.

And over the peaceful land

I see a beam above me.

He is filled with beauty

Sheds light on the house.

And spread over the world

The sounds are slender on the air.

Joy in the heart and peace

The beam is calling me Home.

There at the blue threshold

I open the Book of God.

The lines flow before my eyes

Washing away with tears.

And the sacred fire burns.

Bowed over the Koran

I see an image next to me.

This is where my family lives.

I flip through the centuries.

I am typing the book of life.

About past great deeds,

And about moon-faced khans.

About the events of those days

I hear the voice of my soul.

Central Asia Samarkand. Citadel of the Great Khan Amir Temur Tamerlane

This dream of mine was born from childhood dreams with camel caravans wandering through the desert, with a passion for the history of the Timurid dynasty and the great commander Tamerlane,

from studying the route of the Great Silk Road, the key point of which was the city of Samarkand in Central Asia, and the Silk Road took its beginning in Feodosia (Kaffa) Crimea

It was from here, from Feodosia, when camel caravans went to China or India, through Fergana, Samarkand, Bukhara, and from here I began my search for opportunities to visit an amazing, ancient city full of mysterious stories, majestic buildings and a variety of national life. And now the dream has come true.

A 7-day tour was not enough for me, I wanted to live there longer, plunge into the atmosphere of a Muslim country, communicate with its inhabitants, feel the energy of these places, join the life and culture of this people, and this opportunity came about thanks to meeting a wonderful person who opened the doors to the Eastern world and showed from the inside all its charm and unforgettable brightness.

The flight was 4 hours and I landed in Tashkent (the tickets were for a flight with a transfer). Then a surprise awaited me. I had to go to another local airport at three in the morning to transfer to another plane to Samarkand, and I thought that I would have to fly from here. The airport workers, who were driving for a shift in a company car, helped, they undertook to give me a ride to the landing site at another airport, even refusing to pay . . And early in the morning I was met in Samarkand.

You can stay in the country for 90 days without a visa, but registration is required within three days (this is strict)

And here I am, in the very heart of Uzbekistan, in the capital of Tamarlan-Samarkand.

Each building impresses with its grandeur and size. Amir Temur immortalized his city in the memory of the people and is revered everywhere. A lot of architectural monuments of Samarkand are included in the UNESCO heritage lists. The city has an abundance of fountains, greenery, beautiful recreational areas, and of course tourists from all over the world.

Therefore, after all this splendor, I remembered Feodosia, Crimea with its nature, and I wanted to get out of the city into nature. Samarkand also has mountains. You can get there by taxi (it's inexpensive)

I will not list all the wonderful places I have seen, they amaze the eye with their beauty and majesty. And it’s worth visiting all of them and Registan Square, and the Gur Emir Mausoleum and the Bibi Khanym Mosque, and if you want to go to nature again from a noisy city, go to the ruins of the ancient city of Afrosiab.

Here you can immerse yourself in centuries, history, wander through the ruins, touch the walls of the fortress, hear the sound of the wind on the hills and maybe discover the amazing east, just like me.

I didn’t meet living camels here, this meeting took place later in Bukhara, but I sat on the one depicted in the monument

feeling that my childhood dreams come to life and come true.

I'll tell you more about the oriental bazaars, this is something. From such an abundance of sweets, pastries, vegetables, fruits, your eyes widen and you want to try everything (the prices are affordable, the sellers are friendly, it’s not for nothing that in Uzbekistan they love the proverb Guest in the house, joy in the house. )

Bukhara

See you soon.
