The location of the hotel is very good - near the most touristic area of San Francisco - pier number 39, seals on pontoons, boat trips, an aquarium, the terminus of old trams, the world famous Alcatraz prison... Clean, but the rooms are so poor and small that two people have nowhere to go, the bed is a problem if you are not a midget, and the cost of the room is decent - about 230-260 dollars per day without breakfast. In the morning free coffee in the lobby, computer, internet and printer is another advantage. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel - it’s expensive and the choice is small, we had breakfast on the waterfront, it’s also a little expensive, but this is the most famous tourist area in San Francisco with an unusual view of the bay. We ate crab in a restaurant on pier number 39, by the way, a whole large, freshly cooked crab about 30 dollars - almost like breakfast at a hotel... I can’t say that it was terrible, but we happily returned to our huge room at Golden Nuggets in Las Vegas and felt at home after a 2 day trip to San Francisco
