Everything in the hotel is top notch. Huge parking lot, huge hall with luxurious chandeliers. The casino occupies, probably, a hectare of area. Carpets everywhere, luxurious chandeliers, at least a dozen elevators to the floors. The way from the elevator to your room will take 3-4 minutes. The hotel is so huge that each visitor is given a map of the location of the main functional parts.
The room was not very large, but decorated very richly. A mountain of towels, 33 bottles in the bathroom, including shaving foam, a disposable razor, toothpaste, and so on and so forth. A healthy plasma panel that we never turned on.
There are only two drawbacks. Firstly, it is constantly smoky in the lobby - in all Vegas hotels, the first floor is occupied by a casino where smoking is allowed. Secondly, all this luxury leaves a feeling of fake. The feeling that all this was done in such a way as to seem luxurious, and not actually be it.
The hotel is a member of one of the oldest and most respected organizations in the hospitality industry - The Leading Hotels of the World. The main epithets that can describe this hotel are: chic, aristocratic, pompous and old-fashioned. A minimum of neon advertising, no cheap lure. And at the same time the wildest chic! It seems that the architects and designers were given the task of pouring as much money as possible into the design of the hotel. But the result is amazing! Bellagio is the perfection of taste and elegance. There is very little that can be called "ordinary" in the hotel. If rooms, then definitely with the most sophisticated interior and stunning views from the windows. If elevators, then in velvet and gilding.
If pools, then with hand-carved Italian fountains made of natural stone. If the restaurant, then with the originals of Picasso on the walls. If it's a wall clock, then only Rolex.
The hotel is located on a hillside next to a large lake. Upon entering the hotel, you first find yourself in the lobby. And if you look up, you will see that the ceiling of the lobby is decorated with 2000 handmade glass flowers. The composition is called the Fiori di Como, it was created by the world-famous artist Dale Chihuly especially for the hotel. Next to this splendor is a long reception desk where check-in and check-out procedures take place and where you can ask any question. By the way, here we found a Russian-speaking girl among the staff for the first time during our trip.
Passing through the hotel's elegant foyer, you will enter the amazing botanical garden.
The kaleidoscope of unique plants represents all seasons and is the perfect backdrop for your own photo session. Sculptural compositions of huge insects and flowers make you feel like a midget reduced a hundred times.
The hotel has its own chic art gallery displaying 34 masterpieces by sixteen of the world's most celebrated artists, including Cezanne, Corot, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Millet, Monet and Renoir.
On the territory of the hotel there is also a wonderful golf course - a work of art by the best masters of landscape design.
In addition to the garden, there is also a patio that has absorbed all the romance of the Old World. The courtyard itself is decorated like a Mediterranean villa. And in the center is a magnificent swimming pool. In the courtyard there is a SPA, a fitness center with the latest exercise equipment and a summer cafe.
The large main pool is heated and you can swim in it at any time of the year.
In addition to it, there are several small pools with beautiful fountains in the middle. We had to wander through the labyrinths of the hotel until we found the exits to the pools. But having found the pools, they no longer wanted to leave. Tired of the tiring journey, the bodies demanded rest. At the entrance to the pool you are given a towel with a key card. Sunbeds and towels are free. By the way, I was the only man in the pool, swimming in swimming trunks. Americans bathe in shorts almost to the knee, and then, without taking off, stomp in them to the hotel. You won't see women in thong swimwear here either. It seems that the country that gave the world a bikini will soon be bathing in boots and hats. So, if you do not want to stand out, then take care of the "American" bathing "outfits" in advance.
There are many top-notch restaurants on site. They are not cheap, but if you have a small supply of cash - go for sure!
In Europe, going to a restaurant of this class will cost you much more! First of all, of course, I must say about the Picasso restaurant. It is one of the ten best restaurants in America. In addition to delicious dishes, a special reverent atmosphere awaits guests here. The walls are decorated with original paintings by the great master, after whom the restaurant is named.
Another great place in the hotel is the Jean Philippe Patisserie patisserie. At the shop windows, guests are greeted by a huge chocolate eagle soaring under the ceiling. And at one of the walls of the confectionery there is an 8-meter fountain of chocolate. This fountain is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest chocolate fountain in the world. Nearly 2 tons of three types of chocolate (bitter, milk and white chocolate) circulate in the fountain. The fountain releases 137 liters of chocolate every minute.
Do you think this fountain is the main one in Bellagio! Nothing like this! In front of the hotel are the famous "singing fountains" throughout America.
In the evening, they start their show every 15 minutes, gathering huge crowds of spectators on the boulevard. Fountains "dance" to a variety of music - from pop to classical. Powerful jets of water are released from the nozzles at a speed of almost 1100 km/h. They rise into the air to a height of about 75 meters, and the sound made at the same time is similar to a volley of guns. A bewitching spectacle!
In order to finally “finish off” its guests with the “most-most service”, its own amphitheater was built in the hotel. The troupe of the most famous circus in the world, Cirque du Soleil, gives its performances almost every day. In Russia, individual performances of this Canadian circus were advertised as something unique, out of the ordinary - the Du Soleil Circus came to Russia! ! ! And in "Bellagio" this "Du Soleil" is an ordinary and daily phenomenon ...
True, we could not get to the show of this circus - by no means cheap tickets were sold out three days in advance.
We booked at the hotel the most ordinary Lakeview Deluxe Room (overlooking the fountains). The room made me say an admiring "wow" when we entered it. The second “wow” sounded when we figured out how to move the curtains from the wall remote - the view of the Las Vegas Strip, the Eiffel Tower of the Paris Hotel and Planet Hollywood was amazing.
The room had a TV (with an interactive hotel service system), a safe, a radio alarm clock, a huge mirror, a working and coffee table, and easy chairs. In the bathroom, laid with Italian tiles, we found a large bath and shower. On the walls (even in the toilet) there are paintings - rather strange, but real, not any reproductions.
Depressed refrigerator, completely crammed with paid drinks and snacks. There is nowhere to put your bottle, all the cells are occupied. It is enough to take out a bottle from the refrigerator, as smart electronics will immediately write down its cost to your account.
There is no free internet. But do not rush to buy wifi at the reception! Turn on your laptop - most likely in your room you will catch several city wifi networks for much less money!
There is almost nothing free (that is, included in the price of the room) in Bellagio! What to do, such is the pattern - the more expensive the hotel, the less useful details are included in the price of accommodation ...However, I have already said the phrase “luxurious”, “expensive”, etc. so many times. Attention! Fanfare! I announce its value! A quadruple room with a "luxury" view of the fountains costs less than $300 per night! For comparison, I’ll say that a small “junior suite” in a five-star hotel on Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg will cost you four times more. And you will not find any chocolate fountains in it!
Why is it so? Everything is simple! Go down to the first floor of the Bellagio.
Walk through the endless halls with slot machines and gambling tables. That's who really pays for all this luxury - gambling people emptying their pockets at the speed of free fall! And we, as residents, are probably unprofitable for Bellagio ...
When we left the Bellagio, the mood was subdued. For two days this magnificent hotel managed to sink into the soul. I so wanted to stay here for at least another day… Bravo, Bellagio! Si magnifica - you are amazing!
