Lake Michigan
Studying the network of the Great Lakes of the United States as part of the school geography program, I could not even imagine that I would see them live, and not in the school atlas. And even though I saw not all five lakes, but only one... but what a one!
For reference:
Lake Michigan is one of several North American Great Lakes and is one of the most famous attractions in the United States. It is also notable for being the only one of the Great Lakes that is located entirely within the United States. The name of Lake Michigan comes from the word Mishigami, which in the Ojibwa language means "big water".
The views of the lake are truly breathtaking. You can stand on the beach for hours. No words can describe the delight of what I saw, so I'll just share a photo with you.
