The hotel was chosen based on reviews, probably about paid authors. Upon check-in, the receptionist on duty, a girl with a smile, confirmed our reservation and gave out the keys to the rooms. The impressions from the rest were twofold: a beautiful city, friendly people and indifferent hotel staff. I was upset that I didn't listen, but I thought maybe a lot of people. We arrived with friends at 14:30 and ...the girl gives a felt-tip pen instead of a pen to fill in the client's card. ? Surprised. And this was just the beginning ...The rooms are not cleaned, at the reception they just say to wait. No apologies, no explanations. Then the girl slowly announces that our rooms should be cleaned. When I tell her that our number does not match the order at all, I hear in response, I can not help. Honestly, I don't like such situations, but somehow it became insulting. She told me that we weren't staying, and the girl didn't care.
It is a pity that the hotel is in a nice cozy place, with an attractive lobby, but not interested in customers.

Pros: Great hotel, very nice clean rooms, towels changed every day, good service, professional courteous staff, large, clean pool. The restaurant has an open terrace, where it was nice to have breakfast, they cook very tasty food. Cons: smoking in the lobby bar, so non-smokers are there. If you are without a car, then the part of the embankment where cafes and restaurants are located is about 15-20 minutes on foot, but you can use a taxi, it’s 3 minutes away (I used the taxi service by phone 0508851868, delivery is 3 minutes, the cars are neat, the drivers very friendly) and only 12 hryvnia.

We also went on excursions around Uzhgorod, to Mukachevo, tasting local wine. Uzhgorod is generally an amazing city....very European. Small streets, beautiful architecture. . . and everything is somehow so peaceful. In short, we liked it and we recommend Olympus to everyone who will stay in Uzhgorod.
