Arriving at the hotel, we expected a post-Soviet hotel with old furniture and service below average. We were pleasantly surprised by the Old Continent Hotel - the furniture and design were on a par with hotels in Western Europe, even better, and the service is simply exquisite. The room we stayed in (suite) was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. The room (not a suite) where my colleague stayed had a spacious balcony from which you could see the whole area in front of the hotel. Everything from towels to wood upholstery was luxurious. All this at reasonable prices. They even allowed us to move out 2 hours later at no extra charge.
I would also highly recommend the restaurant - extremely tasty fish and salad dishes.
