I have a rest in Bukovel for the second time this year, in January and in May-June. Been here before too. Winter sports enthusiasts mostly live here, but for me this is the most beautiful and healthiest resort with an unusually life-giving energy, a real landscape therapy. The air is filled with negative oxygen ions, which are supplied by spruce-fir forests and seething waters. Streams and rivers are saturated with life-giving melted snow water from snowfields lying until July. Extraordinarily useful and environmentally friendly breeds of sheep, goats, and cows are grown on subalpine meadows. Healing sheep cheese. In summer - the richest harvest of mushrooms, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries. Everything is very cheap. Picturesque villages and friendly people harmonize with bright and interesting traditions. Despite the hostilities in the Donbass, my wife and I did not encounter any signs of hostility. On the contrary, at the mention that we are from Moscow, there was even greater interest and attention.
We stayed at the Chaban Hotel. We will continue to come here. We chose "Chaban" because the owners returned the money to all the Russians who did not come to them in March 2014. After the well-known events on the Maidan and their further reversal, many of the skiers who booked the hotel did not want to go to Ukraine, fearing for safety. And the money has already been paid by them. The owners of the Chaban, Natasha and Ivan Bilischuk, paid all those who did not come their spent money, although they could easily keep it for themselves, following the example of other owners of hotels in high demand.
Ivan and Natalia are very friendly and do everything to make customers feel comfortable. The hotel is located in a fabulous location with views from every room to green meadows and dark spruce forests. Two buildings of "Shepherd" are built in the style of the best European standards with elements of Hutsul decor. The buildings are located on the slope of the mountain, 50 meters apart. Feeling of incredible peace and quiet. In my opinion, the hotel is of the highest level and fine taste.
