The choice fell on Chaika in Simeiz, because in other places of Crimea there was no choice - either it was very expensive, or there were no places. We have never been to Simeiz and will not go again. We liked the hotel, it is clean and comfortable, especially the cafe with its patio, the prices for food in the cafe are acceptable. But we need to talk about Simeiz separately. We have never seen a dirtier place in Crimea. The whole park is littered with garbage, the stench of urine from the park reaches the main street, as it should be called Soviet.
The park has been in an abandoned state for a long time, the first self-determination of Ukraine. Toilets like a toilet (there are also without a roof) exude an indescribable smell. The trash cans are small and all are clogged with garbage and bottles. On the central alley of Simeiz (Looks like Arbat), the iron bars of the fence were torn off, there are trash cans clogged with garbage between the benches for rest, the garbage is not cleaned every day and we were witnesses when people were sitting next to the piled garbage, they probably forgot to remove it. A separate question about the beaches of Simeiz. The sea is clean (they say there is sewerage), but there are no normal beaches in Simeiz. All beaches are made of large boulders. On the very first day, my wife hurt her leg when entering the sea. There are small areas (between the boat station and the town of Koshka) where you can go into the sea, in other places there are solid stones littered with garbage. Garbage is present everywhere - on the beach, on the main street, in the park, etc. There are no flies, oddly enough, the city is saved by trees (cypresses and junipers). In general, who wants extreme sports and stink, go.
