New World
Novy Svet is one of the most marvelous corners of the Crimea, charming with its beauty.
It seems to have absorbed all the charms of the country's resorts: the boundless blue of the southern sea, the golden sand of the Evpatoria beach, the fragrant pines of the Baltic states, the richness of the greenery of the Caucasus, the harsh and majestic beauty of the mountainous Crimea.
Paradise (Paradise) - this is how the colonists from Genoa called this area for many centuries.
New World is the name given in the 80s of the 19th century by the new owner of these places, L. S. Golitsyn, and has survived to this day.
Behind the entrance gate, from the path descending to the seashore, a panorama of the entire amphitheater of the New World opens, protected from three sides by mountains and open only to the southeast. From the north, the New World is covered by the majestic Sokol and Mount Perch with its spurs, from the west by Mount Syndyk with the bizarre cape Karaul-Oba (Sentinel Peak), from the southwest by the pointed peak of Khoba-Kaya (Cave Rock). A beautiful large bay of the correct oval shape, bordered by a beautiful fine sandy beach, has a soft, slowly lowering bottom. The water here is usually warmer than in Sudak. The microclimate of the New World, well protected from cold winds, is very mild and even. It almost never snows here.
Despite the fact that Novy Svet is only seven kilometers from Sudak, spring begins here much earlier. It happens that it is still winter in Sudak, it is cold, cloudy, but in the New World it is warm, the sun shines brightly and almonds bloom. The wild flora in the New World has a more pronounced Mediterranean character.
A large grove of tree-like juniper descends to the very shore of the Novy Svet bay. Here grows a relic pine of the Tertiary period, Sudak or Stankevich pine, which has survived only in the Crimea near Cape Aya. Near the beach, in the community, Abraham tree, keve tree, hold-tree, skumpia, red juniper grow.
In the New World itself and its environs, there are many monuments of the 6th-14th centuries (the remains of kilns, the ruins of the walls of a Christian church, a monastery in the mountains, a cave monastery under Mount Sokol).

In the shade of trees on the mountainside there are small cottages, for each family - a separate one. The houses are well equipped. Picturesque paths skillfully lined with Crimean stone from white slabs, ornamental plants, retaining walls add extraordinary beauty to the territory of the boarding house, pleasing to the eye. Here everything is conducive to relaxation: a cozy living room, a bright spacious dining room, gazebos and much, much more.
From the Novyi Svet beach, you can take a walk to the next two bays, separated by a narrow winding cape Kapchik, reminiscent of an antediluvian animal. Walking along the path from the fishing house, standing on the shore, along Cape Khoba-Kaya, and then along the rock, you will end up at a huge grotto, formed as a result of landslides and weathering. There is a source of good drinking water here. Further on, a difficult, but very picturesque path winds high above the sea among the rocks and leads beyond the Blue (Robber) bay to a narrow ridge. The magnificent Blue Bay opens from the ridge, beckoning with its crystal clear, transparent blue waters. Going down the ruined stone stairs, you will come to the "Through Grotto"; it cuts the ridge and leads to the bay you just passed.
From the top of Cape Karaul-Oba you can see the entire coast to Alushta and Ayu-Dag.
Vacationers of the boarding house can make fascinating excursions to the famous gorges "Paradise" and "Hell".
An interesting walk to the "Tsar's Beach" and past the Chaliapin Grotto, and to test dexterity and endurance - climb Mount Sokol.
