Let me tell you about vacation.
In early July, we went by car with my wife to the Crimea. It took a long time to choose a hotel, but relatives living in Crimea suggested that it was better to look at the place, since the photos on the hotel website show absolutely not what it really is. We drove purposefully to Nikolayevka. Previously focused on the hotel "Apelsin".
First about the road.

In Russia they drove normally. We reached the border pretty quickly and then it started. At the border, they stood there for almost three hours (from 19-00 to 22-00). The Russian customs works no faster than the Ukrainian one. The only snag at the Ukrainian border was insurance. Russian insurance on the territory of Ukraine is not valid. By the way, Ukrainian insurance on the territory of Russia can be purchased right in front of the customs posts. There are a lot of different "kibitkas" that offer to take out insurance. There is no “Kidalov”, although the price is overstated by 20-25 percent, but it will also win at least half an hour in time. After passing customs, we entered the territory of Ukraine and....As if they fell, as in the saying "Negros at night, coal will ship. " Not a single lantern, darkness - the eye if. We drove to Kharkov in pitch darkness along a single-lane road, it was good at least there were few cars. The pointers are absolutely not visible, they were guided by the map and the navigator, which periodically made mistakes. As a result, having passed Kharkiv and Dnepropetrovsk, we decided to stop and take a nap in the car until dawn. After resting for 3 hours, we set off. The roads are terrible, but you can go. By the way, at night we hit the local traffic police officers, having passed a stop sign without stopping. We agreed with a traffic police officer on the spot - 1.500 rubles. Contractual prices, bargained with him, absolutely not embarrassed. Initially, they asked for 10.000 rubles.
By 14-00 we arrived to relatives in Bakhchisarai. After sitting with them, giving them all the wishes and "offerings" from their parents, we went to Nikolaevka (30 km, no more).
Now about the settlement.
Upon arrival, we immediately realized that the pictures on the Internet were really not the same. There were no places in the Orange Hotel, but the hotel was not bad. I was surprised that their prices turned out to be higher than on the site and from the sea 500-600 meters (the site says 100-150). The site has pictures with a sea view, where they came from is not clear, from the hotel the sea is not visible at all.
I’ll make a reservation right away - there were no supernatural requirements for hotel rooms. Shower in the room, TV, hot water all the time, 100-200 meters from the sea and reasonable price. And then the search began and....utter disappointment.
I will describe the hotels where we went. "Assol" - the hotel is very decent, but the prices are higher than in the resorts of Europe. "Emerald" - a quiet horror (there are only two beds in the room, a table and two faceted glasses on it). The search is long, but either the full SovDep (such as the above) or the prices are such that with this money you could go at least to Bulgaria.

When they were almost desperate, they wanted to go to relatives, spend the night there and go to another place in the morning, they saw a very nice hotel almost by the sea (100 meters). Sport Hotel. We decided that this was the last option for today, since the time was already almost 21-00. Fenced area, parking space, Quite a modern design. Come in. We were met by a man of 40-45 years old (later it turned out that this was the owner of the hotel). Having learned the price, they almost fell - they asked for 300 hryvnias (about 1200 rubles) for the room. We looked at the numbers - class! Everything we need and more. Moreover, they also agreed to rearrange the furniture for us at our request. They said that while we were having dinner (we had dinner at a nearby cafe), everything would be ready. When we returned after dinner - everything was done in the best possible way, We fell asleep after the road like marmots.
Now about the number.
The room is approximately 15-17 sq. meters. Double bed, LCD TV (diagonal approx. 24 inches), refrigerator (height approx. 160-170 cm), wardrobe, table, two bedside tables. In the hallway - a bedside table for shoes and a hanger. The bathroom is shared, there is a shower, a sink, a toilet bowl, a boiler, shelves, a basin for washing, 6 towels. On the balcony - two chairs, an ashtray (no smoking in the room). Moreover, everything is located in such a way that it was not necessary to “push with priests”. Quality furniture, new.
The room was cleaned every day. The service is very "inconspicuous", that is, while we are in the room - no one disturbs, as soon as we leave - everything is cleaned. For all the time - nothing was missing, everything remained in its place.
Beach.
The beach is 100 meters away, but not very good. It is said that it was destroyed by a recent storm. However, nearby (30-40 meters) there is another. There is no need to talk about whether there is sand or pebbles. One day - sand, you come the next day - one pebble, on the third sand and pebble. The sea is quite clean, at least I did not see such that the garbage floated in the water. Then the hotel staff told us that by car you can go to the nicest beach in Nikolaevka, which is 5 minutes away by car. I must say right away that there is practically no difference between it and the beach that is near the hotel. The last 3 days we went to the beach in Uglovoe (about 15 km from Nikolaevka), where the beach is almost perfect. Almost one sand (in some places there are pebbles, but at the entrance to the sea and in the sea itself - sand).
Hotel administration.

All I can say is 5 stars! Total respect and kindness. All our requests were fulfilled instantly. Every morning they asked how we were doing, how we were resting. When we left for one day to stay with relatives for the night, they almost raised the entire police to their feet in search of us. Subsequently, we warned them if we were leaving for a long time.
Infrastructure.
Directly opposite the hotel (across the road) is a local market where you can buy almost everything - fruits, vegetables, any local food, clothes (of good quality) and everything else. Prices vary greatly. There are things that are several times cheaper than in Russia, there are more expensive. Bargaining is possible, and maybe even necessary. There are two cafes near the market, the food in both is very good. For 250-300 Russian rubles, they ate together so much that they could not get up from the table. The only negative is that the cafes close at about 22:00. There is a cafe a little further away, which has been working for quite a long time, the choice is not bad there, but the prices are an order of magnitude higher. There is a cafe on site. But if it’s just starting to work there, if the staff is lazy, but after sitting there for 5 minutes at a table, we didn’t wait for service and left.
Bottom line - Hotel "Sport" - just a class. The hotel itself, rooms, service at a very high level for the Crimea. I will take the beach as a minus, however, it does not depend on the hotel staff in any way, they do their work with a bang. If I have to return to Nikolaevka, I will 100 percent stay at the Sport Hotel. Have a good holiday everyone!!!! !
