- old rooms
- Soviet service
- ugly Wi-Fi
- paid parking
- lack of reception
In June, we had a rest in the recreation center "Nizhny Miskhor", in building No. 3 "Lilia". To begin with, when we drove up to the gates of Miskhorsky Park, where the LOC is located, the guard did not let our car through, seeing that we were with a baby after a long road. We had to walk to the hotel complex (which is not close by).
No one in the hotel meets their guests, it is not clear where to go, there is no reception in Lilia, and in general there is none in principle, there is an accounting room. On a call to the administration, we were advised to go back to the gate and tell the guard that we had a hotel room booked... but the fact is that we already told the guard all this, he demanded a pass. As a result, someone called somewhere and they let us in by car. The cleaner came and took me to the room.
Then, in the accounting department, they paid for accommodation, our passports in several copies))) and for some reason they issued a pass to Ai Petri beach only from the next day, fortunately for free (now it has become paid). The pass for the car was never issued, they advised me to give the pass number orally. Each time at the entrance, the guards demanded a copy of the pass from us, but no one was going to give it to us, they said if they don’t let you in, then go to our guard, and he goes to the palace guard and then they will let you through. This issue was not resolved for all 9 days of stay. We no longer knew what else to say to the guard, who each time barely let us pass, scolded and resented!
At the same time, on the other side of the park, the gates are open around the clock and from 6 o'clock in the morning until late at night, cars and motorcycles rush back and forth right in the park in front of the hotel, it is impossible to sleep with the windows open - it's like you're on the road! Outraged by the fact that the hotel with a room rate of 4500 rubles also has paid parking (100 rubles per day).
We booked a suite on the second floor No. 21. The room itself has not been renovated since the nineties. The furniture is already old, the bed and wardrobes will be fastened to horror. Chairs and a table from the time of Stalin, their place in the museum. Bedside lamps with a rag lampshade, bought God knows what time, we did not even dare to turn on. And the carpeting is awesome!! ! Old, dirty, faded, stained, there is no way to clean it, only to throw it away, it's disgusting to get up on it! I’m silent about the bouquet of artificial flowers on the chest of drawers and “grandmother’s” napkins! Plumbing is old, but there is always water. You can say no to the Internet - just connect, and after 1-2 minutes you will be kicked out.
And one more thing - it was absolutely impossible to sleep in a small room, the sewer drain is designed so that when the toilet is flushed somewhere higher, the sound of a shooting firecracker is heard and a waterfall is pouring....and it feels like it's happening right in the room! Sounds of "firecrackers and waterfall" continue every 5 - 15 minutes until 2 am! The bed linen is old and hasn't been changed in nine days. The towels are also old, washed out, in fact they are only for the feet. Towels were changed every other day or two. The blinds are ancient, do not work, the light hits the windows from 5 in the morning, and the curtains are thin.
Of the pluses - the LOC is located near the beach on a relatively flat area, a large balcony with a beautiful view of the park, but the furniture is plastic, there is a dryer. The room has a safe, an old kettle.
The owner of this number has not invested a penny in it for at least twenty years. It is a shame to offer such a room to vacationers for 4500 rubles, and in the high season it is even more expensive.
By the way, the keys were given one for three, it is very inconvenient, especially since all the gates are locked, the next day they wanted to ask for a second key, but it was a day off - Sunday. And the next day is another day off - Monday. And on Tuesday, a working day, at 10 in the morning there was still no one....They no longer began to walk, it's a pity to waste precious time on vacation.
Landscaping was still going on on the territory, the restoration of the fountain, the playground near the Uyutny cottage was not cleaned after the winter, although the season had already begun. Gloria's playground was put into operation with us, a playground with swings, a slide, a house and a soft surface.
About nutrition. Tried to have breakfast at Gloria. I didn't like the complex breakfast, we decided to eat from the menu. So, cheesecakes made from a cheap curd product, not at all sweet, tasteless, scrambled eggs are not bad, but not at all salty, oatmeal was normal once, and inedible the second time - not boiled grains thrown into milk, but the eclair was a success. We had to wait a very long time for our order, even though we were alone in the cafe.
We went to Rhodes twice for breakfast and lunch, it seems to be cooked at home, it’s not bad, there is something to feed the child, but it’s somehow fresh, without zest, instead of store-bought rolls and cheap yogurt, it would be better to bake pancakes).
We also dined and dined in Chile, in Victoria or in the Old Spring - we liked everything there. By the way, in the Victoria cafe you can also eat in a complex way, breakfast, lunch and dinner cost, if I'm not mistaken, 950 rubles. They didn’t eat at the Naryshkins’ dacha, but they went to buy pastries, delicious inexpensive buns are baked there.
The beach is not enthusiastic - pebbly, narrow, with breakwaters, there are quite a lot of people on sunny days, it is not easy to find a place. There is a playground upstairs, but the swing is made right in the middle of the playground, which is quite traumatic, especially for kids. The toilet on the beach stinks, everything was flooded with something, there is no soap and hot water.
During our vacation, outside the hotel fence on the way to the beach, the sewerage broke through and the whole river flowed through the park into the sea, the stench was terrible, the entire sidewalk was flooded with drains, people walked along the curb. Only a few days later the emergency service arrived (((It turns out that this is a common thing in Miskhor!
All rooms in the LOC have different owners, somewhere already in a modern way, and somewhere in a Sovdepian way. We were not lucky, from the photo it was not clear how everything was running, i. e. You have to be very careful when choosing a room.
By the way, having traveled across the Crimea from Sudak to Sevastopol, we came to the conclusion that a beach holiday in the South Coast and in particular in Miskhor is not the best solution, sightseeing is another matter... and the beaches are much more picturesque, without gloomy guards and not so crowded.
I'll start in order.
What did you like?
The location of the hotel - traveled a lot of places during the rest. To the cable car to Ai-Petri 15 minutes on foot, to Vorontsovsky Park half an hour on foot or 10 minutes by minibus, which run very often. The Yalta Zoo can be reached in 20 minutes by taxi, the water park in Simeiz is 15 minutes by taxi. To the Nikitsky Botanical Garden about an hour by taxi, to the center of Yalta - half an hour by minibus. The weather was beautiful, the paid beach of the Ai-Petri sanatorium (included in the price) is neat, clean, a huge plus - they don’t smoke on the beach, only in specially designated areas. Miskhorsky park is beautiful, maybe not very well-groomed and obviously not well-lit in the evening. Walking in the park in the evening is better with a flashlight.
What didn't you like?
We flew to Simferopol late in the evening, while customs, while the transfer was at the hotel at about 12 am, but no one warned us that all nearby cafes and shops close at about 11 pm. Finding a convenience store in an unfamiliar place at night was not easy. Three meals a day in the dining room of the hotel was included in the price. If possible, never take food in this place. Sovdepovskaya canteen with a pretension to a pretentious restaurant, in this canteen, by the way, there is a dress-code. During the rest, there was a conflict with the head of this dining room, since it was planned to place one more vacationer at our table and the intersection of the meal schedules of two families did not suit us in any way. The conflict had to be resolved through the hotel administration. True, after that, our table was carefully ignored - they brought all the dishes at once and removed the used dishes only after we left. The funniest thing happened just before leaving. Before leaving, all vacationers are given a book of reviews and suggestions or something like that. We have seen this several times, we even placed bets on whether they would give it to us. But the head of the dining room with such "genuine" surprise said goodbye to us: with the words "as you are already leaving, it's a pity. " Conclusion: it is easier to eat in any cafe near the sea - a little longer and maybe a little more expensive, but much tastier and more pleasant. For dinner, we regularly went to other cafes, of which there are many.
And a few more words about the room "Tower". The room is very large, comfortable, with a panoramic observation room on the top floor with a magnificent view of the park and the sea. But for some reason, probably half of the electric lamps and switches in the room did not work. This caused some inconvenience, especially when you go up from the living room to the bedroom in the evening, and the walk-through switch near the bedroom and the staircase lighting lamp do not work. That is, you have to climb a rather steep, creaky staircase with different steps in complete darkness. There was a washing machine in one of the bathrooms, but this is just a piece of furniture - it is not connected to the water supply. The heated floor in the bathroom didn't work either. Cleaning in the room was carried out with high quality, and with a small tip of the maid very high quality. We just physically didn’t have time to litter, and the number was again cleaned.
This is such a difficult impression about the hotel.
Disadvantages:
1. The high cost of living - $ 100 in September per room per day without food - a bit too much. Although the room can easily accommodate 4 people (two rooms on different floors), it is still a bit cramped, given that there is only one bathroom on the second floor.
2. The declared equipment of the room is not very true:
- a set of dishes can hardly be called a "set": a couple of plates, a couple of glasses and spoons;
- miraculously, the blankets, bedspreads, sconces disappeared from the room on the first day;
- a set of summer furniture on the balcony consisted of two plastic chairs.
3. Having equipped the room with two air conditioners (on each floor), which barely blow, they did not think about two TVs (there are two rooms).
4. Scarcity of rooms - not very comfortable.
4. Paid parking for vacationers - pay 35 UAH. for parking a car just a territory with a fee of 100 bucks per room, at least it's not clear.
5. The duplex rooms are not equal, but the price is the same: we had a small balcony with stretched old bandages for drying towels, and in others there was a full-fledged balcony, on which there is a clothes dryer, a table, chairs.
6. With the declared room capacity of 4-5 people, passes to the beach are issued only to two, and the entrance to the beach costs 20 UAH. per person per day.
Despite everything, I liked the rest, there is a desire to come there again.
It consists of 5 buildings: Gloria (in Turpravda it is separated into a separate sanatorium, but in fact it is one of the buildings of the LOC), Naryshkin's Dacha (in which we rested), Magnolia, Lilia and Uyutny. All cases are very good, Gloria is considered cooler and more expensive, but they are all good.
Territory: small, but very beautiful. Lots of shade, benches, a very good playground. There is parking, though paid even for residents (this is a minus). One gate of the LOC leads to a bus stop and leads to the sanatorium "Ai-Petri", the other gates open to Miskhor Park, which more than compensates for the small territory of the LOC. The park is very large and beautiful and overlooks the city beach with the Mermaid, as well as the Miskhor embankment, which, of course, cannot be compared with the Yalta embankment, but which has its own zest. In July, there were artists, and various entertainments for children and adults. In addition, Miskhor has its own pier, from where you can sail to any point of the South Coast on a boat. We swam to Yalta, saw a lot of dolphins in the sea, to Yalta - about 20 minutes - beauty.
Location: across the stop from the Lots – the cable car to Ai-Petr (this year it has again risen in price by 10 hryvnias, now a one-way ride is 60 hryvnias, for two adults back and forth – 240 hryvnias!!! , although children up to 6 years free, our daughter is already 6.5, but so far she has been free); after 3 stops - Alupka park (after dinner we often went for a walk). In the opposite direction, literally after a few stops Swallow's Nest). Near the LOTs (on the territory of Miskhorsky Park, near the entrance to the beach of the Ai-Petri sanatorium) there is another cable car - to a cool hotel on the mountain "Respect Hall" - for me it was extreme - the trailers are not the same as on Ai-Petri (closed and large), and open (without glass) and very small (maximum for two with a child), which you need to jump into on the go. The ascent took 20-30 minutes, a magnificent view, but sooo scary, I would not go a second time. Respect Hall is very high on the mountain, but the most annoying thing is that they are not allowed to enter its territory, and there is nowhere else to go upstairs, there is only this hotel and the highway. Therefore, we climbed up and immediately had to go down. We only went to the admin. hall of this hotel, asked how much a standard room costs - 4100 UAH per day !!!! ! They smiled, said that we would think))))) and left. On the way, though, we found another sanatorium - Belarus (to the beach of which we had passes, more on that below). It is also very high, you can’t reach the sea on foot. A person living in Belarus is taken to the beach by minibuses. The territory of the resort is huge.
Rooms: we lived in the Naryshkin Dacha building in a two-room suite. There are no complaints about the room and cleaning. The ceilings in the room - 3 meters, because of which there is no stuffiness, did not even use air conditioning. The room has a brand new renovation, everything is very clean, wonderful new solid furniture, which consisted of a mass of cabinets, bedside tables and shelves that could not be filled with everything. Since it usually happens the other way around - there is nowhere to put things, this moment pleased. The room has: an electric kettle, a set of dishes from cups, glasses, spoons, forks, knives, plates. Excellent bathroom (shower though a bit narrow and cramped). Towels (of very good quality) were changed every 3 days, we did not have time to soil them. Bedding - once every 7 days.
Of the minuses (well, to find fault, because these are trifles): deluxe rooms usually have disposable shampoos and balms, there were none here. It was the usual toilet soap, and thanks for that. On the downside, there were no insect screens on the windows.
Beach: the price included 2 passes (for adults) to the beach of the Belarus resort, the beach is excellent, consists of three sections with breakwaters. Lots of sun loungers (plastic) both in the shade and on the piers. There is a shower, cafe, clean toilets. The downside is that the cost of our vacation included only passes for adults, we had to pay for the child. The entrance fee to the beach for those without a pass is UAH 25, for a child from 6 years old - UAH 12. As I said, we also spent a child for free as a six-year-old. However, I think this is a minus, you can give passes for everyone.
Near the beach of the sanatorium "Ai-Petri" - this one is even better, but since we were not given passes for it, we went there for a walk in the evening (from 5 o'clock on all sanatorium beaches the entrance becomes free). I have never seen such a large beach as in this resort on the South Coast. Simply chic. Lots of sunbeds and sunbeds too. A huge plus is a great huge playground right on the beach!!! ! For those who do not have passes - the price of the beach is 20 UAH.
Another good beach in Miskhor is the beach of the Miskhor sanatorium (not far from the city's free beaches)
Treatment: In theory, the LOC is a health and wellness center, but there is actually nothing medical and wellness there, except for a small (10 meters long and 2 wide) indoor pool (in the same Gloria) and a cave room, well, and all sorts of things there massages, at a sky-high price. We went to the pool 2 times in bad weather, in good weather - it makes no sense to go there, so-so - the water is fresh, unclear. In the cave room were once - did not like it. In general, we went to the Ai-Petri sanatorium for all the procedures, which was 2 steps away (we needed to treat the child): there is really a medical base, and the pool is better, and the cave room is much better, the masseurs are very good, there are a lot of them and a good massage and a lot of different ENT procedures and not only.
Meals: not included in the price, however, there was also a cafe on the territory (130 UAH three meals a day per person), and a restaurant with a buffet (210 UAH per person).
We ate in a cafe, a customized menu (today you choose from two sets of dishes for tomorrow), meals on a solid 4. To be honest, in the first days they would even put 5, but then it seems to become boring (as is often the case when you eat for a long time in one place) , so four, but solid. I liked the fact that the food is varied: salads, appetizers, main course, fruit, dessert. The portions are not small, everyone was full. Of the pluses, it was also possible not to pay for lunch or dinner if we planned to leave for the day. It was only necessary to warn in advance.
Pros: all of the above;
the Nizhny Miskhor LOC has a website with very good photos and a description of the number, the Gloria building has its own website.
Cons: paid parking (the price for rooms is not small, so they could not take money for parking); no access to the beach for children.
-Location:
to be in a wonderful park, with an area of something about 6 hectares, the air is clean, the first day 3 could not get enough, there are many cafes on the embankment.
Beach
Beach Sanatorium Ai-Petri, on arrival we were immediately given a pass. The beach is large, nice, equipped with shady canopies, there is a playground, all sorts of turnstiles for adults, the water is VERY clean (well, of course, if the jellyfish do not come), the entrance to the sea is pebble, there is a toilet on the beach (they clean it regularly, there is toilet paper !! ! and does not smell (which seemed to me old for Crimea : )
Accommodation: The fact is that the buildings are of completely different levels and, accordingly, prices. We were in a standard room in building No. 1, the room is small but has everything you need TV fridge kettle air conditioning, mountain view Very beautiful, you immediately have a view of Mount Ai Petri and the ski lift, I think the only drawback is that there was practically nowhere to dry swimwear and towels after beach.
Nutrition:
on the territory there are 2 food options in the dining room of building No. 1 (120 UAH per person per day), and in the restaurant of building No. 5, (160 UAH per person per day) - the difference in price is solely due to the situation. since once we went in, we didn’t like it and we ate all the rest in a cafe not far from the embankment, the money came out the same, but the food is much more varied and you don’t get attached in time
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would love to go again next year.
