Holidays in Gurzuf July 2010
Gurzuf was chosen for several reasons: the South Coast (mountains, needles : ) ), have not been there yet, not a village, a large embankment.
Traveled by minibus from the railway station 20 UAH.
We were looking for housing ourselves according to the principle: closer to the sea and what you like, then I ask: lol:
Phone numbers. hang on all the houses that are rented out, and as a rule, the owners have several objects for rent at once. In addition, there are many realtors on the streets, they charge owners for their services.
As a result, we spent 1.5 hours (after all, the rush hour of the holiday season)
Settled in the old part of Gurzuf "Chekhovka" in the private sector for 400 UAH. per day. The room included a double bed, wardrobe, table, chairs, TV, air conditioning, kitchenette, shower/toilet. Outside there is a shady courtyard with a bench. Everything is clean, modern, the hostess did not get : )
To the sea 5 minutes, but it is to the city beach, which, although clean and free, is VERY crowded, there is nowhere to stand : shock: Trees. sunbeds for 10 UAH. it was possible to take until 8 am, sun loungers for 30 UAH. were later.
Further along the embankment, all the beaches are sanatoriums, closed with intractable guards.
Therefore, we chose the Artek beach "Gurovsky stones" for 8 UAH. per person, but the beach is large, and therefore the likelihood that at 8 in the morning it was still possible to find a place is greater.
Once we were lucky enough to get to the "Cypress" beach, this is a fairy tale - there are only ten people on the whole big beach, it's quiet, calm, there is a beautiful park all around, the smell of pine needles... But, they let them in strictly according to passes, which it is not clear where people took: ? :
They ate differently: they cooked themselves and went to public catering (dining room in the center, 2nd floor), where borsch costs 6.50 UAH. : ), but we especially liked the cafe-cellar "Sommelier" there and the wines are good and the borscht is excellent (albeit for 15 UAH, but with meat and donuts): wink:
Prices on the market are the same as at home, only local peaches were sold for 10 UAH.
Entertainment all in the evening on the promenade, which is really big and beautiful, you can sit on the beach.
We didn’t really go on excursions, everything somehow didn’t work out, we only went to the dolphinarium in Yalta, where we enjoyed it a lot along with the kids : D
The impression of Gurzuf itself is very diverse - on the one hand, at first, the pre-revolutionary buildings "ala old Odessa" frightened me, and then somehow you get into these streets, smells, color, you feel like a time traveler : wink:
We made another conclusion for ourselves not to go to the Crimea in July-August, but it’s unlikely that we’ll remember it next year when it’s so hot outside that you can’t be in the city, and only the seashore will seem like salvation : D
Thank you for reading my report : )
