Week of the sun in Feodosia
Road: Traveling to Feodosia by direct trains turned out to be hard labor for us. They went there in an ambulance 205K (coupe) - shabby cars, without air conditioning, it’s good at least the windows opened - when they were driving it was still tolerable, but at the stop you could suffocate. We drove back in branded 214 (compartment), in many of its cars there were air conditioners, but we were "lucky" - they were not in our brand new beautiful car + the window in the compartment did not open and only slightly opened in the corridor - and this is 36 degrees. heat. We got to Kyiv.
Impression of Feodosia: Not a bad city, quite civilized, clean. We rented an apartment that we found before our arrival on the Internet. They paid 320 UAH/day for a 1-room apartment. on Krymskaya street, 7, with a good repair.
Near the apartment, which is very convenient - a market, pharmacies and many shops, a supermarket, bus stops. Minus - far from the beach - 20 minutes at a quick pace.
Tip: when negotiating an apartment on the internet, specify what kind of air conditioner is there - because. we were promised that the apartment has one. But! In fact, it turned out that the air conditioner turned out to be an ordinary floor blower (which, of course, did not cool the air), which is worse than a fan. Therefore, it was difficult to stay in the apartment in the heat.
Beaches: We were shocked by the Feodosia beaches - I knew that they were not great, but whatever! "Pebbles" - the width of the beach is 3-4 m, tightness, "Cote d'Azur" - a narrow beach, although a little wider than "Pebbles", garbage, algae. I didn’t even want to go to the rest of the Feodosia beaches.
All the time we went to Beach 117, which is near Feodosia. You can get there by minibus number 4 (the final one is the central market). The beach is excellent, much better than Feodosia, clean, enough space, there are awnings, a bar, a shower, a toilet. The beach is free. The water is clear, I didn't see any jellyfish. The only drawbacks are the prices are high: sunbed - 35 UAH, toilet / shower - 5 UAH, prices in the bar are high (so take water and a snack with you, because you have to pay exorbitant prices there); besides this - minibus number 4 is a separate story, it is packed to capacity (like herrings in a jar - that's putting it mildly !! ) from the very morning until late in the evening, it's hard to leave the beach in the evening, and it's hard to get in in the morning. You can go from the final, then there is an option to even sit down. But we have to go from the outskirts of the 5th march. to the center to the final number 4, and then from it through the whole of Feodosia to the 117th it was inconvenient. Taxi drivers from the center to beach 117 charge 30-40 hryvnias. It's cheaper if you call a taxi (for example, 2-22-22). Don't trust taxi drivers for their advice about the city, food, beach, etc. !
Food: We ate mostly at home. The center of Feodosia is full of cafes, canteens, where you can eat well and, in principle, inexpensively (Bistro, Dining room at home). The only bad thing is that there are a lot of people, especially at lunchtime.
Excursions: From Feodosia we went on an excursion to Sudak-New World (without a boat). Highly recommend! Juniper grove and the Golitsyn trail in the New World are something. Amazing beauties of the sea, mountains, bays open up. Take food and water with you - everything is a little expensive in the New World, lunch in the dining room for 2 - from 100 UAH.
