Going to bed at one or two in the morning? No problem. . . otherwise you can not sleep all night long, the counselors will not say a word. And all why? Yes, because the administration is afraid. After all, at every planning meeting they say - you have no right to say anything bad to children, what the child wants - to do it in an instant. Wanted to play the fool in front of the administration building? Kids go!! ! The main thing is that all children know the instruments! No, no, this is not about how to properly handle a hammer or a saw. . In the Kakadu camp there are several tools for educating a child, from the outside it resembles a sect, much like Jehovah's Witnesses, only in a children's camp. The unfortunate counselors go and masturbate, so that every evening for an hour the children would be told some kind of crap, read some strange parables. From my own experience, I was convinced that children simply do not perceive this nonsense. And how to perceive it, if within two or three days at the school of counselors, these instruments were read to the counselors, they were told to memorize and recite by heart. At school, counselors are not taught how to properly provide first aid, or how to resolve a conflict in a children's team. It’s just that the output is an army of sextant-minded guys who absolutely do not have the minimum base necessary for working with children, but they can tell by heart that all children are free, but any freedom has limits, that everyone makes their choice and bears for this choice responsibility. These are, of course, very wise phrases, but sorry - this is not what you need to work with children. . When the leaders are fed with what the children haven’t eaten, and then they kindly offer to pack their suitcase if they suddenly find out that the leader went to buy food during a quiet hour. Those who watched the fifth Harry Potter will understand. Remember the woman who went all in pink and worked in the Ministry of Magic. There, Dumbledore escaped and she became the headmaster of Hogwarts - all so cute to the point of nausea. The administration of the Kakadu camp is very reminiscent of this woman. If you do not want your child to return as a distraught fanatic and, upon arrival, do whatever you want absolutely without listening to you - do not send him to this camp!

Yesterday my 14-year-old son (he was on the 5th shift in the 3rd detachment) returned home. On the threshold of the apartment, I saw an exhausted, haggard and sick child. The result of staying in "Kakadu" (which states on its website: we have IDEAL CONDITIONS for children's health improvement and summer holidays) - minus 7 !!!!! ! kg for 17 days and suspicion of bronchitis (tomorrow we go for an examination).
How it was necessary to "organize" the work of the camp, so that a healthy, athletic and strong teenager in less than 3 weeks, turned into a "goal" ??????
Hope to hear the answer to this and other questions:
1. Why didn’t the children swim in the sea (they were only a few times on the beach), but sat for hours in the building and played ping-pong ??? ? (we have this pleasure in Zaporozhye and you don’t have to pay 800 USD for it. e (that's how much we paid for a ticket to Kakadu)
2. Which of the adults thought of allowing children to swim in a mountain lake (water temperature plus 10)? After such a hardening procedure, the son with a temperature of 39!!!!! ! lay in bed in the ward and "earned" a strong cough.
3. Why the medical care in the camp was limited to giving the children some pink pills (the name of which the children did not know) and at the same time our entire detachment coughed without ceasing (including the counselors). There was clearly a viral infection in the camp, which no one treated and with which the children came home. But on the Kakadu website it is stated: we have constant medical supervision by experienced professionals. Where and whom did this staff control when our children were ill?????
4. The issue of nutrition is separate.
Where is that DELICIOUS AND NUTRIENT food, which is written on your page, dear administration of the Kakadu camp?????
Or YOU ate all of it, and left the children: juice diluted with water, rubber salted dumplings, inedible scrambled eggs, etc.

What can I say - a "REAL holiday" for children, and most importantly - a full-fledged balanced menu, on which a 14-year-old teenager lost 7 in 17 days !!!!! ! kg weight.

6. Another big disadvantage of Kakadu is the lack of volunteers. When choosing a camp, an important factor for us was the language program promised by the administration. Communication of children with English-speaking volunteers was declared. In fact, everything turned out to be about the same as with the sea, the "buffet" and medical care - a complete zero !!! ! there are two foreigners in the whole camp, one of whom spoke Russian....Not funny....But very sad....
7. I can go on and on: about paid services (such as a barbecue set and a disk with a photo as a keepsake). This is a swindle, a pure fraud!!! ! and about many other things that angered me....in the camp of the New Generation "Kakadu".
Summing up, I will say: I am sorry not only for the money that we paid for a ticket to this camp (800 USD). I'm sorry for the time my son wasted on the so-called "vacation" in "KAKADU". he could spend these 17 days in a completely different way, and most importantly, without consequences.

I agree with one of the reviews that three young girls-counselors, simply because of their inexperience, simply cannot properly organize the rest of 41 children.
