Alluring Crimea
After writing a review about the hotel, the feeling that something is missing does not leave me, but the most important thing is missing - the description of my trip. So… Arriving in Feodosia on July 11 by train, we were surprised that the staff from the hotel was waiting for us. We were incredibly happy, since we have children 9 months and 4 years old, although it is summer, there are a lot of bags and baby food, and diapers and our clothes, plus a baby carriage, well, like all people. The settlement passed instantly, as if they were waiting for us alone, but in reality there were still people, since we arrived on a ticket, and five more families were settled. The room was clean and, as they say, it has everything: air conditioning, a refrigerator, a TV, a bathroom, and a corridor where we put our stroller. Without wasting time, we went to explore the nearby territory of the city before lunch and at the same time went to the nearest beach. There was an ATB supermarket nearby, which made us very happy. But the nearest beach shocked us: there is a port, which adjoins the railway, which runs right next to the beach. After looking at the whole thing, we were a little dumbfounded, and when we dined at the hotel, we could not recover for a long time. But then we were told that there are other good beaches in Feodosia: Golden Beach, Oil Depot and others, and the stop is right next to the hotel. Without becoming shelved at four o'clock in the afternoon, we headed to the beach "Neftebaza". Not a bad beach: sun loungers for 10 UAH and a stationary umbrella went into the bargain, the area is clean. It immediately eased my mind. The next day we planned a trip to the village of Ordzhonikidze. When we passed the last turn on the minibus, the view was simply amazing: you can see the whole village, the mountains and the sea, it took my breath away (it's just my first time in the Crimea). The beach is also good, clean, there are awnings and sun loungers (although we didn’t need them and we didn’t specify the price). But after eight in the morning, and we arrived at six, the beach was terribly full: it was unrealistic to get to the water. Our children's pool was a luxury there, as it was terribly stuck around and the children could not frolic in it. By lunchtime, we left, but we had to take a taxi (for 100 UAH we got to the hotel gate), as the minibuses were clogged and did not stop. After lunch we decided to go to the "Golden Beach". It was great there too. Chaise lounges the same 10 UAH and an umbrella in addition. There is a complex for children with a slide, free swings. We were struck by the houses from the log house, built right on the outskirts of the beach - the paths from the house lead straight to the sea (if you go with a company or together, that’s it). I want to say that all subsequent times we went only there, even though there was “119 beach” nearby, but it is designed for noisy companies and young people - there are many events held there, foam parties, and all that entertainment, table tennis, volleyball net stretched. We met the third fabulous day in Koktebel, namely at the foot of Karadag Mountain. Why at the foot? It’s just that they’re not allowed on the mountain without an excursion - a reserve. So, we arrived at about half past five in the morning, and decided, while it was not hot, to climb the mountains. Naturally, they didn’t let us go to the top, but we met the dawn on a fairly decent hill, from which a wonderful view of the village opened), and it’s within easy reach of the mountain, even to the most picturesque place - a small pond and five houses near it (heaven on earth, view from We had a small halt with a light breakfast. What could be more beautiful? Beloved is nearby, the children are nearby, and the sun rises - in the mountains it is an amazing sight, plus the sea is silver below. Koktebel is a very pretty town. We went on a sea excursion around Karadag, everything was fine (excursion 60 UAH per person, they didn’t take money from children. We found a beach where an umbrella and a deck chair were free. My husband enjoyed a ride on a water scooter (100 UAH). A lot of entertainment in Koktebel, as well as for adults before leaving, we did not forget to buy a vintage Koktebel cognac (which was treated to parents upon arrival, for gatherings with a story about the trip). On the fourth day, we wanted to buy an excursion to Sudak and Novyi Svet, but they were afraid to take us with such small children. We were offended by them and decided to organize it ourselves. Here's what happened. Arriving at the bus station at six in the morning, we decided to walk to the fortress, because it was still not hot and we wanted to look at the city. Who was there, or lives, will understand us: we have one child 4 years old, and the second is sitting in a kangaroo (not yet a year old) it was not so easy to get to the fortress on foot, but everything was forgotten when we got there (60 UAH paid for the entrance) . Stunning views and the early morning meeting with the sea air were our reward. By the way, if we went on a group tour, we would not walk around the fortress, the tour provides only an approach to the fortress. There was a tent with live butterflies, but for the price we were offered, we did not want to go in (100 UAH for a tent 2 meters by 2 meters). There were still horse rides around the fortress, but by the time we brought the horses out, we were already leaving the fortress. Approaching the last wall, a stunning view of Mount Sokol opened up to us. I don’t know about anyone else, but, in my opinion, mountains are something magical for our family - they beckon to themselves and at the same time attract us to each other. The emotions that we experience are visible in our eyes and we do not need words to describe them, we understand everything. After wandering around the fortress, we decided to still look into the New World. What I said above was a fairy tale, well, but here I won’t even pick up words... I would stay there to live if it were summer all year round! These bays with different colors of water, these mountains are alluring with their peaks (namely Sokol). We also walked along the Golitsyn trail (I don’t remember how much for the entrance, but not expensive), joining someone’s excursion, overheard some information. We swam in Golitsyn Bay - oh, beauty and invigorates! Then the juniper grove with its 300-year-old plantings is impressive. The most unforgettable landscapes are associated with the New World. I didn’t want to leave - it’s just not to say anything, my heart was torn back. Arriving in Sudak, we got up at the wrong stop by my mistake: it seemed to me that there was a currency exchange stall, but on the contrary, in the New World we got up near it. It turned out that we got up at the beginning of the city, and go to the bus station to the other end. Realizing that we did not have time for our bus, we walked at a fast pace (there was not a single taxi along the way, the buses were all crowded, they did not even stop at bus stops), and in the end they were already running. Now remembering funny. Such a picture: I am with a child in my arms, a husband with a child by the hand and all wet from the heat are rushing. I pay tribute to my eldest daughter's endurance - she endured everything, and already in the minibus (which I slowed down, almost lying under it, since we would not have ended up in our hotel then) recalled our run with a laugh. Then the children fell asleep from the heat and jogging and slept for 2 hours without hind legs. It honestly seemed to me, sitting on the bus, that we would come to our room and lie dead on the bed. But after resting on the bus, we moved away a bit. But when we arrived at the hotel, a feast was waiting for us, since we didn’t get either breakfast or lunch, we were covered with food all over the table. I thought they were crazy, how can you eat so much? But we overcame half, the rest was taken to the room. There were no nearest cities for the excursion and the rest of the vacation we explored Feodosia. We visited the Genoese fortress (ruins), many beautiful churches, and, of course, walked along the embankment. There were many attractions where my eldest daughter enjoyed riding. As well as souvenirs everywhere, for all the achievements of our daughter, we scored a lot of interesting things for her. In general, the rest was full of only positive impressions and emotions. All the incidents that happened to us, certainly overlapped positive emotions. We probably haven’t taken so many pictures yet, so many places and views, just a miracle! I understand that there are many places on earth with wonderful landscapes and architectural monuments and other sights, it’s trite, but so far Crimea has won my heart.
