Here we are back from the sea surf.
In short: we liked it, we will go again.
And in more detail. . .
Location: the Sea Surf complex itself is located on the territory of the Karabakh tourist center and the recreation center for students of KhPI (I don’t know all the intricacies of ownership, rent, sublease, etc. ), i. e. the town of Karabakh, which is approximately 1-2 km from Utes (a sanatorium and a village of boathouses), 8 + 3 km from Alushta, 25 + 3 km from Yalta, 3 km (up to the main road) from Maly Mayak. The place is quiet, former estates and landscape gardening ensembles of the 19th-20th centuries. Very beautiful. there are no discos or nightclubs nearby. From the infrastructure: a pharmacy and shops in Utes, a market on the waterfront (2-3 tents with food, souvenirs, beach equipment), there is also a small grocery store, a cafe (about 5-6 pieces) nearby, doctors in the Alushta clinic (30 hryvnia / 4 c. u. visit) or in the sanatorium Utes (50 hryvnia / 7 c. u. 1 doctor)

Living conditions: at the beginning we chose No. 4 of the New Building. We rested with a large family (me, husband, son 1 year 8 months, mother-in-law and niece 7 years old); Upon arrival, the room was found to be slightly smaller than I expected. The furniture is really good... Inside the stone floor, part of the walls are made of stone... it’s very good in the heat (we heard from the neighbors that it’s very stuffy on the upper floors), but you can’t run barefoot for children... to be honest, I didn’t find it right away the use of small terraces adjacent to the room... they are made of stone, with rather sharp edges; probably convenient for storing beach equipment. There is a place outside for cooking. The kitchen is located in the same building, but on the 2nd floor, which is reached by a very, very steep cast-iron staircase. In general, we decided to change the number and move to the Wooden Building, taking 2 separate, but nearby, one-room suites.
This is a fairytale. The room is all made of wood, a chic balcony with a sofa and other furniture. There is a sea view. The building is located on the 1st line (20 m from the sea). One room had a washing machine, the other did not. They also asked for a microwave. They also offered a baby cot.
From furniture: a spacious wardrobe of 3 sections, a TV cabinet, a dressing table (mirror + chest of drawers), 2 bedside tables, a large bed, several chairs, a sofa + armchair + table on the balcony, a drying board (which was not in No. 4), a washing machine (in one room, but it turned out to be not working, linen can be washed in a common machine), electric kettle, TV, TV, DVD (not used), shower.
Territory: the paths are all asphalted, there are even steps for climbing to the buildings. Green, well-groomed. On the 1st floor of the Wooden building, a cafe was opened with us. At first we were upset, as it prevented us from falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. Further, the situation looked as follows: the music was turned on quietly (if necessary, they could be turned off altogether upon request), there were few visitors (the balcony of the room overlooks the cafe terrace), smells, unfortunately, went straight to the balconies... not always pleasant... In the cafe, Pts cute waitresses, food was ordered to the room, which is very convenient. Of course, it would be better if there were no cafe, but it was not a serious obstacle or an extremely negative accent.
I was overshadowed by the absence of even the slightest playground: no sandbox, no swing - nothing... but almost all vacationers with children...
A children's camp was located in the old building, which I did not expect at all... early in the morning they occupied the beach, and there was no way to break through...

Beach: own (probably rented), close... pebbles, in the sea - stones. Along the rural embankment there is a strip of various free beaches - from wild stones to comfortable small pebbles on the coast and in the sea. The sea is clean. There were no boats or other equipment. Dolphins were not seen.
Service: here I want to clarify that the surf does not pull on the declared VIP class hotel. Rather a very nice private guest complex. Apparently, a family affair... The hosts (a young couple) left a very pleasant impression. They tried their best to create comfortable conditions for recreation, helped (for example, with the issue of baby food) and quickly resolved all sorts of issues. Cleaning services, apparently, are provided, but somehow not quite clearly organized. Irochka, a sweet young girl, came to collect garbage almost every morning, asked a couple of times if something needed to be removed... to be honest, I was somehow confused, but don’t poke my finger where it’s dirty, where it isn’t... usually there is a clear cleaning scheme (bathroom, vacuum cleaner, glass, etc. ), so I refused. She asked for a mop and a rag and cleaned herself, which somewhat overshadowed my vacation, but I was sure that the floors were clean, etc. (which is not unimportant when relaxing with a small child). Change of linen 1 time per week. I didn’t like the lack of “style”, the “face” of the hotel... I will explain: there were no branded or identical attributes and accessories... in one room there was a nice plush blanket, in another - an old woolen blanket, in one - cotton covers for furniture, in the other - an old plaid, bed linen in discord without the integrity of the sets, towels are also different, and so on. Of course, this did not bother at all, but it did not correspond much to the declared VIP class.
Several times there were interruptions in electricity, water was supplied regularly.
Meals: 2 cafes on the territory (apparently, they are also related to the common family business), the kitchen is quite decent, tasty. Complex (b + o + y) 100 hryvnia (approx. 13 USD) per person.
Near the cafe "By the sea". Somewhat cheaper, no complex, also delicious.
There were no poisonings in any of the mentioned cafes with us. Everything is fresh.

Overall rating: I liked it very much. We hope to go there again and again.
