The stairs inside are terrible, in other hotels there is carpet, but here it’s just tiles on which it’s easy to screw up, and DO NOT TAKE the 4th floor until you get there, especially with bags - it’s very exhausting, the staircase, in addition to the spiral one, also goes along the hotel.
Yes, and there is no corridor at all, you go into the room and immediately the rooms and the bath, threw your shoes and it is practically in the rooms (
There is no view from the side window, some kind of construction site.
Yes, the hotel doesn’t have its own beach, but a pass to the beach is provided. It’s a bit far, but the bus runs constantly. We rested with a child of 11 years old, we didn’t sit still, so it wasn’t a problem for us. creepy. But there are paid beaches very close - 10 hryvnia (40 rubles) per person for the whole day (you can leave-come, keeping tickets), children are free, sunbeds are provided, there are awnings. Nearby is not only the "Dining Room at Home". it is a small cafe - the food is delicious and not expensive. A lot of all kinds of other cafes, canteens, restaurants.
And I certainly don’t agree about the Scoop. During the entire stay, we never heard a rude word, no rudeness. In the morning, in front of each cafe, they not only sweep, but also wash the sidewalk.
The prices were PLEASANT. For example, a bottle of good beer 5-7 hryvnia (20-30 rubles), together in the evening in a restaurant (salad with seafood, a huge portion, chicken tobacco, champagne, live music) -1200 rubles.
In general, Alushta and "Dream" is really a DREAM.
So, the hotel itself (namely the second building, which has its own small courtyard with a gazebo and barbecue facilities). Pros. There is practically nothing to complain about. Very friendly and friendly hosts, they will smile at you in a European way when they meet, sending a boost of energy for the day) Cleaning is guaranteed every day (although sometimes it left much to be desired), every 3 days change of bed linen and towels. Air conditioning, hair dryer, cable TV, wi-fi - everything worked properly. Pleased with such trifles as a set of dishes in the room. For a fee, your belongings can also be washed.
Not far from the hotel there is a central market and a supermarket.
Minuses. The hotel is quite far from the beach. The closest, located to the central, but if you have not taken a place in the sun after 8 in the morning, then there is nothing to look for later. True, there are paid sunbeds on the beach. 40 gr. We needed 3 pieces, as a result, you pay a decent amount only for a plastic piece (it would be cheaper for us to buy an entot sunbed ourselves and carry it to the beach with it). If you decide to go to Alushta with children, think 5 times, because this year the storm washed away the beach and they covered it with sharp, terrible gravel (although....if anyone practices the yogic method of acupuncture - such beaches are the very thing !! ! + stock up for all family members with rubber slippers, without which it is impossible to move along the beach). About the number of people per square cm - I will not say anything. The proverb "walk over the heads" - I felt in all its glory, and in the literal sense.
The hotel also does not have a cafe. Nearby is the "Home-style Dining Room", the cuisine of which causes positive impressions for the first 5 days. Then you understand that you simply can’t shove fatty Ukrainian cuisine into yourself (although... someone will see this as a plus)
Sea. Clean and warm. But we grabbed the rotovirus with him (who knows what it is and what it is like to get sick with a child on vacation, I’m sure we shuddered at that moment). This is understandable. It's hot, people are crowded.
About the city of Scoop lived, is alive and will live. Soviet service in restaurants, cafes....in the thoughts of Alushta residents, who look at you like a cash cow with one thought - how to rip you off more and provide less quality of services.
Bottom line: if you are an unpretentious individual who has never seen a good European vacation, then I think Alushta and Mechta are a good component of a good summer pastime ; -))))
We arrived in advance without deciding where exactly we would stay, we thought that without any problems we would choose our own housing to our liking. Already at the bus station, intermediaries attacked us and took us to various private hotels, but they didn’t seem to hear our demands: a 2-room suite with air conditioning, not far from the sea, so that there would be a landscaped area next to the hotel... Instead, what could we offered. As a result, we refused the services of intermediaries and decided to search on our own.
Wherever we ourselves went, either there were no more places, or the rooms did not suit us. Already completely tired, we accidentally approached the Dream Hotel, the hostess was standing on the porch. She was very polite and kind. She immediately showed us the number, promised to provide a free pass to the beach, agreed to hold the number while we ran to get things and pay her.
We lived in this hotel for 10 days, and still couldn’t be happier that we found this quiet corner in the most advantageous place in Alushta: near the sea (10-15 minutes walk to the beach with a pass), 3-4 minutes a market, a dining room, which has already become famous throughout Alushta (before leaving for the sea, we read a lot of positive reviews - "Dining room at home"), you can even walk to the bus station in 20 minutes on foot (or from the bus stop - 5-7 minutes from the hotel - drive to bus to the station), next to (a little further from the bus stop) the Furshet supermarket, where food prices are very favorable (this store was recommended to us by the hostess of the hotel).
Separately, I would like to tell you about the room in which we lived. Photos are on this site. We stayed in a cottage apartment - just like in the picture! Rooms are cleaned daily, linen change (if I'm not mistaken) every 3 days. Each room has air conditioning and TV (with cable). There is a refrigerator and a free safe. We also had at our disposal a cozy courtyard with a gazebo and barbecue facilities. For some reason, it was very pleasant for me to watch how every evening the husband of the hostess alone or with his son carefully watered the lawn))))))
...... Later, from conversations with the hostess, we learned that their regular customers usually rest with them and the rooms are busy... This made it even more pleasant that they had a free "window" for us.

Summing up, I will say that we were satisfied with absolutely EVERYTHING!
and although in the coming years we no longer plan to go to Alushta (too far from us - 3 days by train), I will remember this hotel for a long time with a kind word.
Who will have the opportunity to book rooms there - do not hesitate!
Well, if we still decide to visit the Crimea sometime, then we will certainly negotiate with the owners about living in the "DREAM"))))

Special thanks to the owners! I wish you prosperity and expansion of the network of mini-hotels with the wonderful name "Dream"!
And, of course, there is a wish: passes to the beach closer.
The hotel is very nice both outside and inside. For me, one of the important factors when choosing a hotel is the design of the rooms and the view from the window. After reviewing a dozen or two mini-hotels in Alushta, I settled on the "Dream". Confident European 3 stars (or even 3+), a minimum of kitsch, the rooms are spacious and clean. When we arrived and saw our wonderful room in pink decoration (all rooms are individually styled and coloured), we regretted that we were only here for 3 days. The room turned out to be bigger and more beautiful than I expected, I was also pleasantly surprised that it was on the third floor (for some reason I thought it would be the second one). The room has a refrigerator, kitchen utensils and crockery for two people, a kettle, a hair dryer. Upon arrival - 2 bottles of mineral water and a set of toiletries (shampoo, soap, toilet paper). The room has 2 large "full-length" windows, wonderful balconies - overlooking two sides, it was possible to see both the sea and the mountains. We were lucky with the weather. In the evening there was neither wind nor insects, it was possible to dine outdoors, next to the fragrant cypress trees that grow near the hotel (by the way, good pizza is prepared in the pizzeria of the Massandra store, which is a minute's walk from the hotel). In the morning the sun rises from the sea, so it's also very beautiful (I personally like sunrises more than sunsets). In our first room, even from the bathroom, there was an interesting, colorful view from the window - the tiled roof of the house opposite, the dome of the church (as a kind of bonus, there may be morning chants and ringing of bells, but not every day : )).
The second suite (No. 8), in which we lived only a day, was very spacious, with two balconies, two TVs (one in each room). I especially liked the watercolor in the bedroom in this issue (a real one, not a reproduction), and in our first issue there was a cute dog rose by the same artist.
The hotel staff is good and friendly. There were no misunderstandings. One of the nice things about the hotel was the free Wi-Fi, but alas we didn't get a chance to test it. Maybe next time : )
Since we arrived in Crimea by car, the issue of parking was relevant for us. You can park your car in the parking lot on the territory of the Severnaya Dvina boarding house, 25 hryvnia per day (100 rubles). Although you can leave near the hotel (as we did on the last day).
In general, my choice turned out to be very successful, since the hotel is located in the center, not far from the embankment, and, at the same time, the place is relatively quiet (not many cars, cafes with music, noisy night walkers). Almost all hotel rooms have a good or excellent view from the windows (and walking around Alushta, I noticed that there are very few such hotels). And, in my opinion, "Dream" has an ideal price-quality ratio.
We are resting at the Mechta hotel for the third time, and this is the first hotel in Alushta, where we go first of all to check availability. The first and only, because by some miracle) there are always rooms for us. For which we are very grateful. It is usually difficult to book rooms shortly before arrival, they are often booked months in advance. But something is released, someone does not reach, in general, there is always a chance)
Everything is nearby! Walk 20 minutes to the beaches along the beautiful streets of Alushta! On foot! After the car (who drives, he will understand me) it's like a balm on the legs! Rest turns out just great in every way!
Right across the road cafe "Flora" seems to be called. The name "At the Dream" shines brighter for him))) The external design slows down this cafe, but the chef is wonderful, he cooks VERY tasty. Fish, rapans, salads, okroshka.... mmmmm. . . )
The market and shops are two minutes from the hotel - everything you need is close at hand.
Directly at the hotel at the reception, you can order a taxi to the airport (if without a car, as we did this time), or to the station. To the airport costs 270 UAH, to the station 240 UAH. These are the prices for September 2009. I think you can also order from them from the airport to Mechta.
And the view from the rooms! Have you seen this view???
When you lie on your bed in the morning and see how the sun breaks away from the horizon and slowly rises, gliding over the sea? ! This is number 10. . .
And so from the very morning - one beauty and pleasure: a beautiful spacious room (the rooms are really large, even in 4 **** and 5 ***** hotels look for such! ), a shower in which you want to sing, coffee on the balcony at a cozy table, the sea, the mountains, this sea air. . .
Summer, autumn, winter, spring - here even the time of year is not important. Here you just relax. . . At any time of the year.
Be sure to take the tour! There are a whole bunch of them. We rode horses - it's a thrill in life!
I wish everyone to rest in such tests, so that the soul sings! This is one of those places. They are very, very few, but they exist. Thanks to everyone who contributes to this hotel!
I’ll make a reservation right away, I have been abroad many times, so I have something to compare with, a great connoisseur of hotels and a “gourmet” in this matter - and I was simply delighted, I think that Dream is in many ways better than other 5-star competitors.
The hotel is just a fairy tale, having visited it, I decided for myself that in Ukraine you can relax by the sea.
We rested in June 2009, the rest was wonderful from the first to the last minute, even despite the surprises of the weather. Immediately upon arrival in Ukraine, they provided a good reception, (from the hotel) you can ask for a transfer to the hotel.
We arrived at the hotel at about 1 pm, despite rumors that we would have to wait until 2 pm, we were pleasantly surprised by the instant settlement. The room, despite the location, is very comfortable and practical! One very large and comfortable bed, bedside tables and lamps, a spacious wardrobe (safe - at the reception), dressing table with a mirror, TV, refrigerator, kettle, glasses, ashtrays. What else do you need to relax? Only the bathroom - it is not global in size, but very nicely decorated. Everything is very beautiful and comfortable, and from the second day the maid began to amaze us with the decoration of our beds, it is very beautiful.
From the balcony, equipped with two armchairs, a table and a folding dryer, a view of a beautiful natural landscape opens up, although the exit from the balcony was to a cafe, but the plus is that in the cafe they accepted us as their own and gave discounts and served quickly!
The only small disappointment is that there is no bar or restaurant in the hotel, i. e. you will have to eat at the nearest cafe (literally, 10 steps from the entrance and at a cost - not expensive). Apparently for this hotel and can not get the 4th star. You can also eat on the embankment, there are a lot of cafes, canteens, of the soviet type, and the same service, but with smiles, which indicates that it is the 21st century in the yard.
Drinks produced by them: vodka is an amateur business, but wine and beer were just great. For children and teetotalers - a lot of coffee. The hotel beach is very far away, but they give a pass to it for free (at the reception), but for the entire stay, they never hit it. We went to a paid beach (from another hotel), there they gave a sun lounger and a good canopy. Nearby is a public beach, to which the entrance is paid and dirty to such an extent that it is better to swim in the Moscow River. On the beach - the smallest pebbles, only a narrow strip along the edge of the sea strewn with larger pebbles. It is still very convenient to enter the water, but in June there are a large number of jellyfish off the coast.
If it’s cool or you just don’t want to have fun on the street, you can watch TV in the room, in extreme cases there is free Wi-Fi (we were very glad that we took a laptop with us).
We did not experience problems with air conditioning, there is one in every room. Pleasantly surprised by the complete absence of any insects.
In general, "Dream" - the hotel is just wonderful. Its most important positive qualities are cordiality, warm welcome, maximum opportunities included in paid accommodation.
I recommend the hotel "Mechta" to everyone and thank the management and staff of this hotel for a great vacation.
