My humble advice to those who are going to relax in Alupka.
Many scold their vacation in Alupka, many, on the contrary, cannot praise how well they had a rest, what is the secret of such ambiguity of opinions among completely different people?
Let's try to figure it out:
First of all, for all its beauty of nature, the beautiful Ai-Petri plateau, Vorontsovsky Park, a huge amount of subtropical greenery - this is still a very mountainous area. And here, speaking the language of tour operators or local brokers, there is the concept of the first level (near the sea), which means below the so-called "lower road", the second level is above this road (which means it is not 10-15 minutes to the sea, as most people write on their websites objects, and at least half an hour in the heat and winding mountain paths), and the third level is practically the "upper Alupka", that is, much closer to the Yalta-Sevastopol highway than to the sea. Based on this, the order of prices for accommodation is formed, the owners create various fashionable "gadgets", lie on the Internet, because it is necessary to somehow lure the client to the third level.
It is clear that people who expect to come to the sea, live with a pool in the yard (where is the logic - if the sea is nearby, why an outdoor pool with sea water, because in winter you won’t swim in it anyway), and most importantly, it’s also cheaper than for others (this is the main factor of mistakes in choosing a place (through measured practicality). As a result, a bang is forced to look at the sea through binoculars, or perform a feat every day, getting to it in the scorching heat along very unpleasant routes. What review can he write after this negative ?
The second reason is the beaches! Yes, there are not many of them, but they are small, because here is the open sea, not the Yalta Bay, and even more so not the natural beaches of the Eastern or Western Crimea. Every beach here is man-made and it can't be big. But what is the purest water here!
A couple of arguments in favor of the beaches of Alupka:
Many indigenous people of Yalta get on a minibus and come to swim here, they saw and talked to themselves (I won’t pass on the conversation, not in favor of the ecology of Yalta).
Almost most of the "Influential People" of Ukraine and Russia built their palaces here - Medvedchuk, Timoshenko, Kuchma (believe the long list) yes, what can I say, Count Vorontsov himself also knew a lot about this.
I remember well the words of the Odessans who came here by the sea: "Yes, we also have the Black Sea, but this is not the same sea"
So for the sake of a good sea, you can endure, this is not Turkey for you, you need to make adjustments for the country.
With all this, you can simply live near the beach, having chosen the right object of rest in advance and not have all these problems.
I'll give you advice: most of the beaches of Alupka and the nearest villages are not city public beaches, but most often beaches related to sanatoriums, which are located in the coastal zone. Under Ukraine, they resembled a passage yard through which everyone went to these beaches, therefore, hotels and hotels grew up next to the sanatoriums, living in which people freely went to these beaches. Now that Crimea has become part of Russia, despite the slogans "everything for the people, " the territories of sanatoriums are becoming sensitive objects with limited access. And most people, living in a hotel with pompous rooms, make their way to the beach figuratively speaking "through barbed wire".
What kind of feedback can there be?
The third point of accusations against Alupka is "Village and Boredom without entertainment"
Yes, it's true, there are neither trendy clubs nor a motley embankment here. Lord! Understand once and for all for this it is better not to go here. But almost all significant tourist sites, where they go from all over the Crimea, are located here. Vorontsov Palace and Park (in front of the nose), Water Park "Blue Bay" (so far the best in Crimea) - 5 km. left; cable car to Ai-Petri - 1.5 km. on right; Swallow's Nest - 3 km. on right; Foros Church (on a sheer cliff) 20 km. left; Dolphinarium "Aquatoria" 15 km. on right; Baidarskaya valley and "Skelskaya cave" (by the way, the most beautiful place) - 30 km. left; Livadia Palace - 10 km on the right and the list is endless.
Here's what entertainment you need to come here for.
Summarize: Alupka is a good sea, rich nature, travel. But pleasant memories can only be obtained if you choose the right place for your vacation!
A few tips:
1. There can be no too cheap housing near the sea, and even more so near the beach.
2. Choose a place where there are shops and pharmacies within a radius of at least 300-600 meters. More you are unlikely to pass through the mountains and the heat.
3. Plan to go to Alupka across the sea. nature and travel, and not a noisy and fun life.
