The issue of the room was not raised, especially since we are here for the 3rd time, you never know what has changed. But the cons fell one after another.
The bed linen is just in a terrible state: worn, stained, which can no longer be washed, the pillows are in clods, and the springs bulge out of the mattress. Towels are old and stained.
The next negative is the sockets. There are only two of them, one of which was intended for the air conditioner, and the second for the TV under the cabinet. Well, you can not turn on the TV and charge your phones one by one (funny, right? ), But!! ! where do you connect the refrigerator? Where the outlet from the air conditioner is not an option, the cord will not reach. I had to drag the refrigerator closer to the TV, and later buy a tee. class, right?
Next is the bathroom. There is no hot water in the tap; Thank God it was in the shower. But in the bathroom there was constant dampness, as everything leaks everywhere.

Previously, we had three meals a day, no questions arose. This year, when we ordered tours, the travel agency told us that now only breakfasts are included, but there, on the spot, you can order lunches and dinners. No problem. On the second day, we ordered dinner, paid for it, but when we arrived (and the very first ones), no one was going to serve it to us. Honestly, we felt uncomfortable. We were about to raise this issue when the owner drew attention to us. His question killed us: “Did you order dinner? ”. And he forgot that we paid him. Then they brought it, the owner somehow apologized, but the mood was spoiled. And after that we no longer ordered either lunch or dinner. It's a dot, but not a fat one. Fat point was on the last day. We were given breakfast before check out. We came, took cutlery, bread (as always), made coffee, sit, wait for our breakfast to be brought to us, but again no one is going to carry it to us (as with dinner). Everyone looks at us like we're idiots. This is where the question of how you treat your customers comes into play. Couldn't those who delivered food come up to us and clarify whether we are eating or not, although this is so obvious. What, we just took the forks and sit. Just a complete disregard on their part. If this was our first vacation in Olvia, it would be easier, but after this time there was a residue, what is there, disappointment. And most importantly, we advised all our friends. . . We will return to the Iron Port, but never to Olvia.

But everything is in order, first positive: 1) a small private boarding house away from the noisy embankment; 2.300 meters to the sea through the boarding house "Crystal", in which there is a decent park; 3) an excellent combined children's pool (waist-high for an adult) + adult (depth 1.8 m); 4) cozy and convenient for families with children (it's good when there is everything nearby - a playground, a swimming pool, a dining room), many flowers, well-groomed lawns; 5) in the rooms there is hot water - constantly, a TV, in some there is also a refrigerator and air conditioning. For those who do not have a refrigerator, 2 common ones are displayed in the dining room; 6) in the dining room there are thermos kettles with boiled water and round-the-clock access; 7) the possibility of meals in a boarding house (3 meals a day - 100 UAH, but you can choose separately, for example, only lunch or dinner; you can also order milk porridge for children from homemade milk for breakfast - 10 UAH; breakfast and dinner, as as a rule, they consist of a main course, lunch is the first and second; 8) there is a stationary barbecue.
Negative: 1) the service has become disgusting: cleaning the room and changing bed linen 1 p. in 5 days, but what kind of cleaning is this?! ? - wipe the floor and take out the trash. No one cleaned the dust (I am silent about the cobwebs in the corners near the windows, which had not been touched for many weeks before us) and the worst thing was that no one approached the toilet, sink and shower at all. Yes, bring your own towels, they are not provided. They took out the trash themselves. 2) Food killed on the spot. We were assured that the chef had changed and became simply wonderful, but judge for yourself: in 6 days for breakfast there were 2 times a semi-edible cheese casserole; for a side dish every other day, dry pasta without oil and gravy, with a minimum of vegetables. On the 6th day, marinated hake fish served for dinner (in which even a fork did not fit, and it was simply not really possible for an adult to chew, not like a child) with pasta made us refuse breakfast and dinner at the boarding house. At the same time, I note that dinner separately cost them 40 UAH, and we ended up eating elsewhere for 30 UAH. and much tastier. Children ordered porridge separately for breakfast. For 10 days, every other day they served alternately oatmeal, then vermicelli, only on the 10th day they gave rice porridge. The only thing that the cook did well for some reason was dinners, although they were also not very diverse, but edible. But sometimes they also caused bewilderment, for example. for the 1st - mushroom soup, for the 2nd - stewed potatoes with beans and mushrooms, cabbage salad with peas. Note that many children of preschool age. And how to choose here? For tea, shop-bought cookies were served monotonous (when we went for the 1st time, that cook herself baked various zdoba). Although they were on the sea, they practically did not serve fish. 3) Special attention deserves the serving of dishes and serving. Previously, as in any decent places, cutlery was served separately to each in a napkin. But in 2009, having bought an apartment in Kyiv, they decided to organize an economy class vacation for themselves for one year and in a place that they had never been to. I liked the boarding house very much, including the staff, everything is homely and caring. Initially, we chose a boarding house according to the following criteria: what would be a quiet place (the ability to sleep off), the availability of hot water around the clock, the presence of a good room with air conditioning, TV, refrigerator and new furniture. In addition, the ability to pay for meals of our choice i. e. do not pay immediately for three meals a day, but pay “on the spot” when we want it . . for example, one day we rest at the disco all night, so we don’t order breakfast in the morning. we will sleep all morning . . or if we decide to go to a restaurant in the evening, we don’t order dinner. We opted for Olbia and did not lose.
It is our deep conviction that this boarding house is an ideal combination of price and quality for an economical vacation, or rather, the price is much lower than what a person can get for such a price in the Crimea, Koblevo, Odessa or other similar vacation spot, and now in more detail:
1. Location and territory. It is located approximately 300 meters from the sea in a very quiet place, at first we thought that it was not very convenient, but as it turned out, we made a very right decision, because in those boarding houses that are located near the sea (according to other people's reviews) it was impossible to sleep t . to. on the embankment there are many open discos, bars and restaurants, amusement parks with music tangible enough that it would be impossible to fall asleep. The territory is not large, but very cozy and well-groomed with many flowers (the grass is cut, the flowers are watered, the tiles are washed, the pool is cleaned, the trash cans are removed, etc. special thanks to the Organizer Leonid Ilyich). On the territory of the pool; which is very conveniently located (left the room and immediately plunged into the water; at any time of the day), except when we went to the boarding house we thought that the pool would be constantly crowded with people, as it turned out, on the contrary, most people went to the sea, and those those who were lying near the pool swam according to the principle “some couples sunbathe, others swim” (the pool is not as small as it seems in the photo) and, as a rule, it was always free by the pool, by the way, there were a lot of trestle beds and comfortable beach chairs near the pool, each has urns and ashtrays. At night, the pool and grounds are nicely lit. Olvia is connected by two similar boarding houses: "Skazka" and "Alexandria", but we liked "Alexandria" less. is located right next to the road and when cars pass, all the dust flies to the boarding house, which is not very attractive, and in the "Fairy Tale" food is better (by the way, it is several times more expensive than in Olbia), but there is no pool on the territory, which also does not appeal to us very satisfied. 2. Nutrition.
We can not agree with people who write bad things about nutrition here. Firstly, the food is tasty, varied (fish, meat, chicken, etc. ) and there is enough of it to eat, it is always hot for lunch, the second and some kind of fruit, in addition, I noticed that Leonid Ilyich is quite rigidly following, so that the products arrive with high quality and not expired, and for us this is very important, in addition, he monitors the cleanliness of the dishes, the availability of napkins, etc. Secondly, we do not understand those people who complain that they do not give kilograms of fruit, etc. P. frankly, we are very surprised if you want a huge assortment of food products, then accordingly you need to choose a boarding house for a different price proposition and a different class, and you want for such a price that you would be filled up with food and even carried on your hands guys objectively treat these things, and if we take into account the cost of living and eating in a boarding house, then we believe that, God forbid, that in every boarding house in Ukraine at such a price they would be so fed and provided such living conditions. Thirdly, in the boarding house it is possible to order food on the spot, i. e. Initially, you can pay for accommodation, and pay for meals as you please. We did just that, initially we paid only for accommodation, and if our plan for the next day included an excursion, a disco, a restaurant, etc. , then we paid only when we considered it necessary, for example, on one day we pay only for breakfast , and the other tomorrow and lunch, and the third three times.
When we arrived, at the beginning we thought to eat in other places where there are complex lunches, breakfasts and dinners at a similar price so as not to return often to the boarding house, but after trying a couple of times we saw complete unsanitary conditions in the establishments that looked decent at first glance, so making sure that the fact that in our boarding house in this respect the order (thanks, first of all, to Ilyich) made a choice on food in Olbia or in an expensive restaurant, which are very few in the Iron Port.
Number
We liked the room. European-quality repair, double-glazed windows, linoleum (it’s very good when you enter the room directly from the pool, the carpet can emit an unpleasant smell), air conditioning, refrigerator, new furniture, which included: a double bed, a sofa, a wardrobe and things, a coffee table, an armchair and cabinet for things; a bathroom with a shower, washbasin, toilet, boiler, towels and a stand for toiletries. Hot and cold water around the clock, if you need a knife, dishes for melons and watermelons, they will give you no problems in the kitchen.
Staff.
Naturally, first of all, of course, Leonid Ilyich deserves special attention.
His past biography, as a successful manager (we found out a little later), is clearly noticeable in the organization of the work of personnel, even if it is small....everything is constantly controlled, demanding, tough and attentive (although at first glance it is imperceptible) the boarding house is just such a person, everything was always done on time, everywhere and in everything cleanliness and order... at night the guard does not sleep... and this is only a small part of what we noticed. But I liked one little story the most:
We, as gourmets, could not resist the food that they carry along the beaches and once ate shrimp and baklava, after a few hours we became very ill . . so Leonid Ilyich called, found out if there was a doctor on site, put us in his car and took me to the clinic . . there he found a doctor and, making sure that we were provided with qualified medical care, he left us, though he kept repeating: “I told you not to eat what they wear on the beach, ” and so with regard to Ilyich, make hasty conclusions if you don’t like something about him;
Another special attention deserves Lena the cook, a young pretty girl who cooked very tasty, pleasant, smiling and courteous.
We cannot agree with what they say that there is a division into “ours” and “not ours”... our advice to you is to treat the staff politely and affably and you will be treated accordingly, we have always done this regardless of the class of the hotel or boarding house and we don’t remember that our vacation was ruined because of the staff, but boors in this boarding house can feel very, very uncomfortable;
In addition, we did not come to engage in familiarity, but to relax, swim and sleep, so we did not need to be carried in our arms, although the attitude was already good.
Disadvantages.
To be honest, we had no complaints about the boarding house at all, we knew where we were going, how much and what we would get as a result, the only thing that could confuse some of the vacationers:
1. There is no daily cleaning, it is cleaned only upon arrival, but if you give a little to the cleaning lady, she will clean you without any problems at any time of the day.
2. There is no soap and shampoo, you have to take it with you.
3. There is no top cover on the bed.
Taking into account our requirements, the cost of the boarding house and what we got as a result, the rest really took place, and we hope to visit the Olvia boarding house again.
Summary
A boarding house where for a relatively small fee (one might even say ridiculous) you can get a fairly good rest, with a good room, food and staff.

Firstly, the food is tasty, varied (fish, meat, chicken, etc. ) and there is enough of it to eat, it is always hot for lunch, the second and some kind of fruit, in addition, I noticed that Leonid Ilyich is quite rigidly following, so that the products arrive with high quality and not expired, and for us this is very important, in addition, he monitors the cleanliness of the dishes, the availability of napkins, etc. Secondly, we do not understand those people who complain that they do not give kilograms of fruit, etc. P. frankly, we are very surprised if you want a huge assortment of food products, then accordingly you need to choose a boarding house for a different price proposition and a different class, and you want for such a price that you would be filled up with food and even carried on your hands guys objectively treat these things, and if we take into account the cost of living and eating in a boarding house, then we believe that, God forbid, that in every boarding house in Ukraine at such a price they would be so fed and provided such living conditions. Thirdly, in the boarding house it is possible to order food on the spot, i. e. Initially, you can pay for accommodation, and pay for meals as you please. We did just that, initially we paid only for accommodation, and if our plan for the next day included an excursion, a disco, a restaurant, etc. , then we paid only when we considered it necessary, for example, on one day we pay only for breakfast , and the other tomorrow and lunch, and the third three times.
When we arrived, at the beginning we thought to eat in other places where there are complex lunches, breakfasts and dinners at a similar price so as not to return often to the boarding house, but after trying a couple of times we saw complete unsanitary conditions in the establishments that looked decent at first glance, so making sure that the fact that in our boarding house in this respect the order (thanks, first of all, to Ilyich) made a choice on food in Olbia or in an expensive restaurant, which are very few in the Iron Port.
Number
We liked the room. European-quality repair, double-glazed windows, linoleum (it’s very good when you enter the room directly from the pool, the carpet can emit an unpleasant smell), air conditioning, refrigerator, new furniture, which included: a double bed, a sofa, a wardrobe and things, a coffee table, an armchair and cabinet for things; a bathroom with a shower, washbasin, toilet, boiler, towels and a stand for toiletries. Hot and cold water around the clock, if you need a knife, dishes for melons and watermelons, they will give you no problems in the kitchen.
Staff.
Naturally, first of all, of course, Leonid Ilyich deserves special attention.
His past biography, as a successful manager (we found out a little later), is clearly noticeable in the organization of the work of personnel, even if it is small....everything is constantly controlled, demanding, tough and attentive (although at first glance it is imperceptible) the boarding house is just such a person, everything was always done on time, everywhere and in everything cleanliness and order... at night the guard does not sleep... and this is only a small part of what we noticed. But I liked one little story the most:
We, as gourmets, could not resist the food that they carry along the beaches and once ate shrimp and baklava, after a few hours we became very ill . . so Leonid Ilyich called, found out if there was a doctor on site, put us in his car and took me to the clinic . . there he found a doctor and, making sure that we were provided with qualified medical care, he left us, though he kept repeating: “I told you not to eat what they wear on the beach, ” and so with regard to Ilyich, make hasty conclusions if you don’t like something about him;
Another special attention deserves Lena the cook, a young pretty girl who cooked very tasty, pleasant, smiling and courteous.
We cannot agree with what they say that there is a division into “ours” and “not ours”... our advice to you is to treat the staff politely and affably and you will be treated accordingly, we have always done this regardless of the class of the hotel or boarding house and we don’t remember that our vacation was ruined because of the staff, but boors in this boarding house can feel very, very uncomfortable;
In addition, we did not come to engage in familiarity, but to relax, swim and sleep, so we did not need to be carried in our arms, although the attitude was already good.
Disadvantages.
To be honest, we had no complaints about the boarding house at all, we knew where we were going, how much and what we would get as a result, the only thing that could confuse some of the vacationers:
1. There is no daily cleaning, it is cleaned only upon arrival, but if you give a little to the cleaning lady, she will clean you without any problems at any time of the day.
2. There is no soap and shampoo, you have to take it with you.
3. There is no top cover on the bed.
Taking into account our requirements, the cost of the boarding house and what we got as a result, the rest really took place, and we hope to visit the Olvia boarding house again.
Summary
A boarding house where for a relatively small fee (one might even say ridiculous) you can get a fairly good rest, with a good room, food and staff.
