They wanted to go to Zatoka for a long time for exploration, since it’s close from Kyiv, but somehow I read negative reviews and went on vacation to the Crimea. And this year we had a long weekend and we still decided to go near Odessa. Having searched on the Internet, and not finding anything suitable, it was decided to go without prior reservation, to deal with the settlement "on the spot". We left Kyiv at four in the morning, arrived in Zatoka at 10-30 in the morning, it was decided to drive to the end of the resort and from there start looking for a place to settle. After looking at a couple of "anti-crisis" housing conditions (wooden houses without conditions), our friends suggested that we go "here" again, this turned out to be the Galchonok recreation center, which is located next to the Zatoka recreation center, by the way the largest in this resort. We also went to the Zatoka recreation center, there are only wooden houses, though with amenities (shower, toilet), but somehow we wanted to live more comfortably, especially since we went for four days. In total, we went to Galchonok and we liked it there. A room with air conditioning, a TV, a double bed and a sofa cost us 500 UAH per day, three meals a day 50 UAH per person. The food is quite good, you can eat. The menu always included meat and vegetables. I liked the speed of service in the dining room and the variety of the menu (for 4 days the dishes were never repeated). What else I liked was the proximity to the beach and the shallow sea, the children were delighted. We did not like (we adults) the sandy beach, because this sand was constantly on the floor in the room. What else upset - the abundance of mosquitoes and midges in the resort in the evenings. By the way, at night it did not annoy, because there were mosquito nets on the windows in the room. In general, I personally concluded for myself that it makes no sense to travel to the Crimea with children, the sandy and shallow sea for children is just right, and from Kyiv to Odessa by car for children it is much easier to go than to Ozovskoye or to Crimea. For prices, if you do not take Yalta everywhere, plus or minus 100 hryvnia is the same under equal living conditions, so why go further?
