A trip to Sofievsky Park
At the time of golden autumn, Sofievsky Park is beautiful, however, in summer and spring, nature here pleases the eye. What can you say about the service.
I admire nature, but I give the administration of Sofievsky Park an extremely low rating.
There are a huge number of excursions in the park on Saturday, is it really impossible to take care of the benches in the park? There are very few places to rest, and those benches that are in the park do not hold water, they were probably installed by Count Potocki.
The guide said that Sofievsky Park is one of the largest in Europe. Probably for this reason, there are two toilets in the park at different ends of the park and not a single pointer arrow.
Opportunities for cultural and quality food simply do not exist. Throughout the territory of Sofievsky Park, local residents sell pies, hot dogs and other food. Oddly enough, there are a lot of people. who would like to dine in a decent cafe. But there are no such cafes either on the territory of Sofievsky Park or near the entrances. Given the size of the park, decent food service outlets should be set up inside the park.
All the statues in Sofievsky Park are plaster copies, and the guide informed about this. And the remains of the originals are exhibited in a nearby hotel-restaurant-sauna. Plaster copies, to put it mildly, do not look at all, is it really impossible to order copies of marble sculptures? Say expensive? Let's do some simple arithmetic. A ticket to the park (with a guided tour) costs 40 UAH (adult), we observed only on one Saturday, at least 3 thousand visitors in Sofievsky Park. If the administration of Sofiyivsky Park does not have enough money to put the park in order, could they add another 10 hryvnias to the ticket, how much does it get in one day? Correct +3.000 UAH. Where there are 40 and 50, no one would be stingy, the road to Uman is much more expensive.
The level of the guide is a separate conversation. The level is extremely low both in terms of informativeness and in terms of vocabulary.
In general, I advise everyone to visit Sofievsky Park, but it’s better on a weekday and think carefully about food in advance. And also read on the Internet about Sofievsky Park on your own, do not rely on a guide.
