Oh, these concrete jungles that devour you day by day, and the miserable city gardens only emphasize that you need to escape at least for the weekend and appreciate the delights of ecotourism and natural treasures that are very close. Get ready faster - the trip is not far, and not expensive, and most importantly very pleasant. I suggest you visit the Trostyanets Arboretum!

For us, it was an unforgettable tour that we never regretted. Tourists are attracted by the pearl of garden and park architecture of the mid-nineteenth century - the arboretum, which is almost 175 years old! So try to be delicate and not harm the protected areas of the park.

This Trostyanets can be found on almost every map. But green routes have already been laid here, including international ones.

And this is a treasure just 190 kilometers from Kyiv (Kyiv-Sumy route) in the village of Trostyanets, Ichnia district, located on the right bank of a small river of the same name, which flows into another river Lysohor.

Trostyanets Arboretum, in terms of beauty and uniqueness of flora, is not inferior to the famous park in Uman. And it should be noted that this park is not overloaded with people and noisy "school" tours, which demolish everything in its path, as in Sofiyivka. Personally, I liked Trostyanets more than Sofiyivka. It is in Trostyanets that you will be able to fully enjoy nature and beauty and solitude. In addition, there are other undeservedly forgotten attractions such as: Sokyryn Palace and Park Complex, Kachanivka. An excellent route for the weekend is a visit to Trostyanets Park, Kachanivka, Gustyn Monastery, Galagan estate in Sokyryntsi.

But a visit to the Trostyanets Arboretum alone will not be forgotten - all the tension of the metropolis will be removed "in the open air. "

A trip here is good for both a family trip and a romantic trip together.

You can have fun company - there are a lot of excursions in Tirnet, just ask. We traveled from the travel agency by bus, which had both pros and cons. Although, it is much more pleasant to get there by your own car. So - from Kiev to Pryluky. The Kyiv-Sumy road (highway H-07) is not cluttered with traffic on weekends, so the trip will not be tiring. Priluki should be bypassed, and in 30 km there will be a turn on Sokyrynka and a sign of the arboretum. Then on the route T-25-29 through Sokyryntsi and Vaskivtsi. WARNING! In order not to miss the turn to Trostyanets, which happened to many travelers, you need to return to the monument to tankers.

In total, then another 20 km of local roads. And although the roads are not the best, but there are quite "decent" areas. There is also a road through Chernihiv, Nizhyn, and from there through Ichnia to Trostyanets, but it is much longer.

If you want to start from Kachanivka - in Parafiyivka do not go straight, but turn right and after about 7 km you will find yourself in the ancestral estate of Tarnowski, ie in Kachanivka. It is not so difficult to get 25 kilometers between Trostyanets and Kachanivka and from one point to another - local motorists will throw for 3-5 hryvnias. There is also a bus from A / S Darnytsia, but in the middle of the day (it is better to specify the schedule), so it is better to spend the night. From Chernihiv it is longer by bus "Chernihiv - Sokyryntsi" (at 4.15 pm - it takes 4 hours), "Chernihiv - Trostyanets" (at 8.25 am. Arrives at 1:30 pm). Buses leave Trostyanets at 5.45 and 16.00. The cost is about 22 hryvnias.

What to take with you? As it is forbidden to drive through the park, it is forbidden to walk.

You need comfortable clothes and shoes (sneakers are the best) and a mosquito repellent, of which there are many. Be sure to bring plenty of bread for the swans. Water and a "snack" for yourself - at your discretion, because in general the people engaged in "business" and there are cafes in the village.

It is also possible to stay overnight with a private individual in the village (even via Tyrnet you can contact) or in a children's sanatorium located right in the park. It is about 30 hryvnias. Another point: be prepared that in the spring, in addition to mosquitoes near the lakes, there are many snakes. We were a little scared of the sudden rustling in the grass, and then got used to ...If someone is afraid, then postpone the trip for the summer or even autumn. The park staff told us that it is also extremely beautiful in autumn.

So, the park is open from 09-00 to 18-00 and for the entrance to the park - 4 UAH. ! ! (children's ticket will cost UAH 2). Excursion - 30 hryvnias and it costs them! Be sure to book a tour - it is much more interesting to walk and learn something new.

And most importantly, you will be shown the most interesting and do not get lost! Will then write in the book of reviews. The route usually lasts two hours, but the time in the park flies unnoticed, and in less than three hours you will not get out.

And after the official tour, stay in the park for a few more hours. The excursion route does not cover one-fifth of the entire territory. Wander around all the nooks and crannies - you will not regret it… By the way, before visiting the Trostyanets Arboretum, it is desirable to plan the route of the visit, because its territory is just huge. You should definitely take a walk in the glades of the Lobby, Taras Shevchenko, Tysov and Kedrov, walk along the Central Bridge, looking at the panorama of the Great Pond, and relax on the shores of Swan Lake. Here is a brief plan of action that must be implemented:

1. feed the swans bread on the main Great Pond. They are very, very much waiting, so stock up on bread!

This is an extremely important point!

2. make a wish by sitting on a magic bench and whisper it in the ear of an ancient Polovtsian stone woman.

And although it is as if not a woman, but quite the opposite, but the Polovtsians called their statues just that. Apparently they knew something like that.

3. to conquer the artificial mountains of the part of the park called "Switzerland" (because it was built for so many years ... ).

4. For a moment, mourn at the "Broken Hope" - a column of sorrow. Leave your sadness here and come back only in a great mood.

Little information about the object of visit.

Located: with. Trostyanets, Ichnia district, Chernihiv region Area 204.7 hectares.

Created by Ivan Skoropadsky in 1834. Skoropadsky's cherished dream was to create an English-style landscape park, and after settling in the Trostyanets hamlet, he soon made the dream a reality. The park was laid out in the valley of the Trostyanets River, as well as in the beams of Ivkiv Yar and Bohivshchyna-Kutsykha.

The first 30 years were spent building four ponds and creating the first plantings, replenishing the range of wood species and expanding the area by buying from neighbors. The next stage of development of the park began in the late 50s of the XIX century. Returning from a trip to Europe, where I. Skoropadsky visited the Rothschild Landscape Park in France, he decided to create something similar on his estate. Artificial mountains and hills were dug by the hands of his serfs, and gorges were dug. And by 1858 they had built a relief landscape of four man-made mountains. Although, the titanic earthworks in the park lasted continuously until the death of the owner in 1887. In general, built this paradise for almost 30 years. He built it as if to please his wife, Elizaveta Tarnovska, a relative of the owner of Kachanivka. However, his wife did not want to live in the village and came to the estates only in the summer. Maybe that's why the marriage broke up in 10 years ...I didn't appreciate ...

And the huge regular park turned out no worse than Peterhof under Peter. The collection of plants was replenished with exotic species, which were delivered from Riga, St. Petersburg, Paris, Kyiv, and the Karazin Acclimatization Garden. The project of the park was developed by famous Russian masters of the Yevstigneyev brothers, and since 1857 the native of Alsace Karl Danilovich Schlingloff, a gardener who became a gardener of Trostyanets, worked on the creation of the park. Talented gardeners from the local villages of Yanik, Krupoder, Bezzub, Tkachun, Vizhun and others devoted a lot of work and knowledge to the formation of the park landscape.

The original feature of the compositional construction of Trostyanets Park attracts: on the outside it is just a forest against the background of a monotonous valley, and in the center it is a mountainous country with large hills and lakes.

Thanks to the bulk mounds - "mountains" (some of them Storozhova, Didova, Rotonda, Mokhnata have a height of more than 30 meters), a mountainous terrain was created with pointed peaks resembling the profile of the Alps. Between the mountains, meandering, there were gorges, over which bridges were built. Ponds with interesting shores were created on the site of the excavated ditches. On the area of more than 10 hectares 4 ponds were formed: Big, Kutsykha, Swan, Nameless. The slopes of the "mountains" were strengthened and decorated with Cossack juniper - an evergreen plant, popularly called "green flame". As already mentioned, the park has 4 Polovtsian women and the Column of Sorrow "Broken Hope". Similar columns were erected in many parks. It is interesting that the park architecture of Trostyanets is characterized by a large number of lawns and open space.

Some lawns have their own names: Lobby Meadow, Giant Thuja Lawn, Eight Brothers, Nut Meadow, Three Sisters Meadow, Monumental Meadow, Sunny Glade, Larch Alley, Column Alley. There were groves here - groves! And what are their names: Ivanovo, Babushkina, Mosque, Natashino, Yaltsev Yar, Klin, Prokholoda, Topolina gazebo, Hug and hug and others.

Currently, the park grows 520 species and forms of trees and shrubs; in the collections of trees and shrubs (arbaretums) - 1700 species, varieties and forms; ornamental flowering plants - 250 varieties. There are about 918 coniferous and deciduous tree species, including Ginkgo Biloba, the oldest tree species on Earth, an exotic tulip tree. Ornamental trees have grown and created a unique microclimate, not typical of these places, giving the air a miraculous healing scent.

Currently, it is the state dendrological park of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine "Trostyanets" and a monument of garden and park architecture of the mid-19th century, spread over an area of .207 hectares. This is one of the largest artificial parklands in Ukraine.

Skoropadsky did not hope for his soul in his work, so he was buried right here, among the fragrant nature. A marble monument commissioned by Ivan Mikhailovich a few years before his death was erected on a hill filled with Skoropadsky near a meadow of deciduous and coniferous trees. The monument depicts an angel pointing to the sky with his right hand. On the pedestal are carved the words: "Any passerby! The garden in which you walk, planted by me; it served as a reassurance in my life. If you notice a mess that leads to its destruction, then tell the owner of the garden: you did. " .
