If I were Oleja Freimut, I would not give the "Auditor's Award" to the Pallada Hotel in Ternopil. In my opinion (seemingly not very picky) the disadvantages this time were more than the pros. If I were Oleja Freimut, I would not give the "Auditor's Award" to the Pallada Hotel in Ternopil. In my opinion (seemingly not very picky) the disadvantages this time were more than the pros. Although they were not specifically sought.
Hotel Pallada is located on a bypass road, but just off the motorway. This is convenient when traveling by car (+ has its own closed parking lot). But an independent traveler will not be able to get to public transport. And taxis are not cheap now.
When choosing a hotel room, keep in mind that double rooms (on aggregator sites, they are listed as "superior") are large. However, they overlook the TIR parking lot. And odd - in the yard, where you can hear the noise of the city highway, which passes nearby, and which are located directly under the parking windows of the hotel and restaurant.
We booked an upgrade.
Quite spacious, bright room, well-groomed furniture.
The only downside: no mini bar or refrigerator. Ie in the summer to cool even water will be nowhere. Plasma, condy available. Sure wi-fi.
In the bathroom a standard set of shampoo + soap, pleased with the presence of women's "emergency" hygiene items. Good professional hair dryer. And only one towel per brother + a common towel for the hands + a common towel for the feet. There are no dressing gowns.
Of the cons. In the closet hangers are fixed with special clamps and remove them to hang things, it is impossible. It is obvious that in this way the owner and staff are insured against "hanging thieves". But no one thought that it was just very inconvenient to operate.
The extension phone did not work. To contact the administrator, I had to call from a mobile phone.
Opinions about the staff were contradictory. When it froze a bit in the evening, they tried to turn on the air conditioner.
He did not work on heating. Called the reception, asked to add. blanket.
After 5 minutes, the young lady-administrator brought a blanket and a heater. Sounds like a positive moment, right? But the quilt was straight on Bulgakov, frankly "second freshness", well tired. And his orphan appearance contrasted sharply with the boiling white set that had already made the bed. Not that I have never met such duvet covers before. But the young lady who carried him also saw him. But she brought just that. Why? Does it matter?
The staff seems to be there, and everyone is busy with something: the maids are rubbing the windows, sweeping the floor. But on the stairs someone spilled something in the morning, and the dark spot was never removed. Although I wandered here and there many times.
On the day of departure, it turned out that breakfast, which is included in the price, does not include coffee. It must be paid separately.
And when the bartender cooked it and served it, she didn't bother waiting for us to drink it. Immediately demanded to "pay for coffee. "
Afraid we would run away without paying? What it is? ! ! Such things cause me sadness and grief.
In general, the "nutritious" moment at this hotel was most upsetting. The reservation states that breakfast is included in the room rate. We arrived at the hotel on the eve of Easter. The administrator explained that since tomorrow is a holiday, breakfast will be given dry rations, because breakfast is served in the restaurant, and the bartender has a day off tomorrow. When we asked if it would be possible to drink tea / coffee, the young lady explained that no one can turn on the coffee machine, so there will be no coffee. Although, in principle, everything could be organized easily and simply. Given the fact that right there, at the reception of the administrator is an ordinary household electric kettle.
And if you want, then, of course, the owner could spend on a pack of tea, coffee and raffinade. And the administrator - to prepare cappuccino tea for guests: ).
And serve them not even in cups from a bar / restaurant, but simply in cardboard cups. It's that simple. And we, the guests, would be pleased with such care. But when, in response to your innocent question, the young administrator finds it necessary to read you a notation that it is not easy for everyone now, and everyone considers his penny, and for the sake of two or three busy rooms to keep a bartender at work, no one will , and you can drink coffee in the city ...No, it's wrong.
I will be silent about what lunch boxes are like and what the one that Pallada prepared for her guests on Easter day. Remembering how once in Lviv on Independence Day guests were treated to champagne, naively hoped to get at least a microscopic cupcake in the form of an Easter compliment.
No, it didn't work out. Lunch boxing was ...uh ...Well, it was. And that's all. Nothing more to say about him.
However, it is impossible to keep silent about the breakfasts, which are proudly called in the guest card buffet. We often stay in Lviv in a mini-hotel, where the buffet is constant and consists of muesli, milk, pancakes, jam, omelet, sausages + tea-coffee, ketchup-mustard. Eat not mountains, but everyone is full and satisfied.
"Pallada" on the buffet serves in portions on saucers 3 pieces of sausage and 2 pieces of cheese. And this saucer looks like breakfast in a trade union Soviet sanatorium. Yes, there is still instant oatmeal. And jam in a bowl with weathered edges. And a common bowl of mayonnaise salad (for breakfast, for a minute). Well, I do not have such breakfasts of appetite! As well as not very well washed cups. And empty mutters. And one teapot for 5 breakfasts.
In my opinion, in this schedule you can not call breakfast a buffet.
Let it be just breakfast. And its width / taste / depth is the tenth thing.
Maybe, from someone's point of view, all this is complete nonsense, and it is not even worth it to "litter the air. " I do not agree. Because, in principle, the hotel service in Ukraine (and especially in its western part) is already at a fairly good level. And I would like it to be like that everywhere. And having paid not even space money for the service, everyone received it of high quality.
That's why I won't go to Pallada anymore. As it turned out, Ternopil is full of places to stay. So next time definitely to another hotel.
