Was in Skhidnitsa "At the sisters" in the second half of August 2014. In principle, I liked it, but I want to dwell in more detail on some points of the hotel in particular and Skhidnitsa in general.
For accommodation and food.
1. The mini-hotel is located not in the center of the village, it takes about 15 minutes to walk from the bus station, not along a flat road, but up into the mountains. So get ready to train your muscles. But the view from the windows (we had a south side) is amazing - only dusk, sky, mountains. Very quiet, cars rarely drive, large landscaped area.
2. The staff is friendly and helpful. They helped to bring suitcases, issued receipts for each payment, promptly responded to requests (replace batteries in the remote control, etc. ).
3. The hotel has video cameras on the floors, fire alarms, security at night, beautiful interior and exterior.

4. The room was 33 attic improved - completely in wood, very cozy. The beds are comfortable, the linen is beautiful, a TV, a wardrobe with a dozen trempels, many sockets, good lighting, satellite TV, the bathroom for the first time in my life had enough shelves and hooks - this is always a rarity in my travels. The view from the balcony, again, is gorgeous. Towels were changed every 2 days, bed linen every 5 days. Once every 2 days, they cleaned the taps, disinfected the toilet, and took out the garbage. There was a carpet in the room, it was not cleaned once in 10 days, although the debris on it was visible to the naked eye. For some reason, they did not report disposable bags with shampoo and soap.
5. Sanatorium-type meals - at lunch you choose what you will eat tomorrow. Breakfast is included in the room rate, lunch 48 UAH, dinner 37.50. We never had dinner. There is a lot of food, but it is monotonous and boring - cottage cheese for breakfast every day, only once in 10 days they managed to make a casserole. Soups / borscht are poured a lot, but they are not tasty. All steamed, baked, stewed food is dietary, in a word. There was a lack of national flavor - dumplings, potato pancakes, cabbage rolls, dumplings. Considering that The Sisters has its own frozen food production facility, this, in my opinion, is very strange. Fresh carrots were given once, half a glass, the rest of the time compotes, sometimes kissels, instant coffee, tea. Mushrooms were also once in Kulish. But we were in the season, mushrooms - Nemer. Cheese, milk, kefir were also not given even once. Meat - chicken and veal. In general, you won’t leave hungry, but it’s boring. There is no vegetarian (lenten) menu, or at least children's portions, people themselves asked to divide lunch into two parts, which, in my opinion, is not very convenient. It could have been a hassle.
6. The hotel paid us a doctor, as promised in the brochure. Taras, an older man, made the most favorable impression. The doctor is just wonderful, he painted everything in detail, asked, explained - a professional in the best sense of the word. On a note, if you are going for real treatment, go through an examination and take tests in advance. We didn't, so he just gave general wellness advice. True, we did not strictly observe them, since several times we went on excursions for the whole day and did not drink water at all during this period.
7. To springs 25-26 (Andropov) go 15 minutes along mountain paths through the forest, at first it’s hard, but you quickly get used to it. 2 soda - 10 minutes down, 357 glycerine and 15 ferrous - 40 minutes, 3rd (the most beautiful) - up to an hour. This is at normal walking pace. Soda water is always available at the entrance to the hotel, the administration is gathering, for which many thanks to them. At the second source, there is always a long line, enterprising locals even sell it.

In general, the hotel pulls on a solid four. For lovers of a quiet, remote from the hustle and bustle of rest.
According to Skhidnytsia
1. This is a village, if you need entertainment (disco, concerts, cinema, etc. ) - you need to go to Truskavets or Morshyn. In Skhodnitsa, all this is simply not there. Tension even with the usual restaurants, cafes, huts, which for me has become a real savagery. In fact, every hotel, even a small one, offers complex meals to guests. Some large hotels in the center have a common entrance to a cafe, but when we tried to celebrate our arrival in a restaurant, we were refused one because “the kitchen does not take orders”, in the other there were terrible plastic tables on the street, on which flies crawled and we they did not dare to go there, the third dining room found is open by the hour (breakfast, lunch, dinner). We barely found an unfortunate cafe, but the service was disgusting and tasteless. Realistically, there just isn't the usual decent place to eat. Such is the paradox in the resort town. How much I travel around Ukraine, especially in the western one, I encounter this for the first time. So we ate at our hotel. They ordered lunch, bought feta cheese, fruits, wine in the store for dinner, drank coffee - it was enough for two women. And yes, we also found a Borislav confectionery, where there is a large selection of cut cakes - we tried everything a little bit, very tasty, I advise.
2. If you intend to firmly adhere to the doctor's recommendations for taking some water, get a mug, preferably a metal one. Naftusya is taken at a temperature of 36-40 degrees, it flows icy, so you have to warm it up. There is no infrastructure for this. Tourists buy dry alcohol, set it on fire at the springs, heat water and drink it. Ferrous waters, for example, must be consumed within 10 minutes, otherwise they will lose their beneficial properties. Given that most often water is drunk 30-60 minutes before a meal and 30-60 minutes after, you will have to walk a lot. True, there are exceptions. Soda is stored for a very long time, so it can be collected for several days. Andropov springs (No. 25-26) - up to 2.5 hours. We went to them in the morning, collected a half-liter bottle, returned to the hotel, put it in boiling water for several minutes and drank it warmed up. Half an hour later, they had breakfast, then waited another 30 minutes and drank again. Thus, I had to walk only 3 times a day instead of 6. Be sure to check with your doctor or knowledgeable people how much water is stored in order to get the benefits of taking it.

3. Be sure to bring strong sports warm shoes, rubber boots and a raincoat. The forests are dense, the soil is consistently moist - you simply won’t get through in sandals and flip flops, and if it rains, then no umbrella will save you.
4. There are many excursions to choose from, but, in my opinion, unsuccessful ones. Since it takes a very long time to go from Skhidnitsa to Synevyr, Yaremche, Bukovel, Beregovo, etc. You leave at 5-6 in the morning and return at 8-9 in the evening, or even worse. The bus will have to shake for at least 8 hours, depending on the direction. The roads are just awful, it would be more correct to say they don't exist at all, especially on the Skhodnitsa-Truskavets section. Nearby there are only two entertainments - the Tustan fortress, 7 km away, and fishing. The most terrible road I have ever seen leads to the first one, the fortress existed in the 10th-14th centuries, now only a rock with grooves and a picture that shows how the building looks like remain. But from the mountain there is a good view, although the rise is steep. In the first days of August, they host the Tustan festival - a medieval reconstruction. Worth a visit out of boredom or for general viewing. By the way, the tour was 80 UAH, plus I had to pay another 20 UAH for the entrance, and everyone was taken to taste the kebabs, of course, for a separate fee. In my opinion, it is unreasonably expensive, although this season prices have risen for everything and everywhere, not only in resorts.
5. The market is small, expensive and trivial. It is worth a trip to Truskavets at least once, there is more choice and lower prices. Just keep in mind that sellers do not leave before 10 am, or even after 11 am (industrial part). Therefore, you should not rush, otherwise you will wander between empty shelves. Our friends strongly advised us the Stryi clothing market - cheap, huge choice, many national colorful and high-quality European goods. But the communication between the settlements is simply terrible, regular buses to Truskavets or Lviv run every hour and a half, or even less often (there is a schedule at the bus station). To get to Stryi, you need to change to a local train and run between the bus station and the railway station. We decided that there was too much trouble, waiting between transport and risks, so we never got there.
In general, Skhidnytsia attracts with healing springs, and not with pump rooms, as in Truskavets, which is more valuable. The buildings in it are 1-3 storey, mostly private hotels. There is no feeling of gas pollution, noise, transport and all the “charms” that accompany the metropolis. Quiet, calm village for relaxation and rest without pretensions to colorfulness or high service. Simple, cozy, beautiful. For children there is one single playground, 2-3 paid attractions. Therefore, I would not advise taking offspring older than 5 years, especially teenagers - they will take your brain out of boredom. An ideal place for pensioners or people with intense mental work (teachers, service sector, etc. ). When I get sick or grow old, I will return. Previously, hardly.
