Hi. Since they did not have time to do "biometrics" this year, but they wanted to go to the sea, the choice again fell on the Odessa region. And this time it was Sanzheika. We went ourselves not knowing where, since there are practically no reviews about both Sanzheyka and the hotel "By the Sea" (where we booked a room back in April).
We decided to take the train. For some reason, I decided that it would be more convenient to get from Karolino Bugaz, and I took train tickets (No. 221) to this station. But it turned out that there was nothing to get to Sanzheyka from Karolino Bugaz, I had to leave in Odessa.
In Odessa, we transferred to a minibus (which departs from Privoz), and an hour later we were dropped off in the center of Sanzheyka, a landmark monument with dolphins.
There are no signs to find our hotel there, but the sign "Sanzhey lighthouse" can serve as a guide. Or the lighthouse itself.
We booked an economy room (for July 2017 the cost was 650 UAH + breakfast included). We got number 11, near the entrance, on the first floor. Each room has a kitchenette. We do not have a sink, which was not very convenient, but other rooms have it. We ordered both lunches and dinners, but I saw multicookers in many rooms, people cooked themselves. There is a swimming pool and a playground on the territory. A convenient road leads to the sea. Go no more than five minutes. In the first days of our vacation, there were not many people on the beach . Well, before leaving, they were already lying in two rows.
What pleased me was the attitude of the owner and the hotel staff. I will give one example, since our train arrived early in the morning, we were already at the hotel at about nine in the morning, check-in at 15:00.
We were offered to leave our things and relax in such a room (sofa, bedside table). The shower and toilet are really shared, but it's for a couple of hours until our room is prepared.
I hope Greece awaits us next year, but for now we recommend the hotel "By the Sea" in Sanzheyka.
