I'll tell you about our eighth day! It started with Dykanka. We spent the night in the luxurious estate "U Solokhy". There are wonderful comfortable rooms. The hosts offer excursions along the ecological trails of the Gogol region, food from their own city, picnics. You will be impressed by the hospitality, as we were impressed)) = ATPSAN4_eiNbMLYSfT5p1-6D1oTWw3kAt_5fMQJ46ymFzqaO9z742bmVLkQEtw6fYabuiIprbFCgDWXsoBk0q9cBtSKanS net / index / 0-97 .
Afterwards we had a mini-tour of the village center. We learned even more information about the immortal works of O. Pushkin, M. Gogol, the artistic talent of M. Bashkirtseva and the magnificent and majestic palace of the Kochubey princes.
Then we visited the regional landscape park "Dykansky", by the way, the first in the Left Bank of Ukraine!
The park includes very interesting objects, which I would like to stay.
The first thing that catches your eye is the lilac grove, in the quarry of which clay was used for the Kochubey brick factory; about 100 species of siren were planted there. The festival will take place here in the spring. When everything is in bloom, I can imagine what beauty abounds here.
A very interesting monument is the centuries-old "Kochubeyevsky oaks" - four heaths aged 600-800 years, 22 meters high. According to the legend, near these oaks young Motrya Kochubey met Mazepa, who was 50 years older than her!
I would also like to talk about the wonderful initiative "Show the grandson of the oak".
The fact is that these oaks really need protection, and what needs to be done is to fence them so that people do not trample the roots.
Therefore, if you make a transfer of UAH 100.
, your name will be engraved on a wooden fence, and happy oak and your happy grandchildren will be grateful to you! You can and should call here for details: 05.51. 1.50.
The historical symbol of Dykanka is the triumphal arch, built in 1820 in memory of the arrival of Emperor Alexander I, but he actually came, no one knows. This is the only monument in Ukraine that crowns the victory over the French.
Also impressive is the history of the Church of St. Nicholas, built on the site where the image of Nicholas the Wonderworker appeared twice. From the outside, it is somewhat reminiscent of an Arab mosque.
Perhaps the architect wanted to please the Kochubeys, who were customers of the Tatar family. It is also interesting that for the first time the so-called double dome system was used here. Next to the church is a bell tower designed by Luigi Ruska.
Below the church is the Kochubey family vault, which can also be visited.
The Trinity Church, located in the historic center of the village, also deserves special attention. This church is most closely connected with Gogol's work, he painted it in "Dinners on a farm near Dykanka. "
Next we went to the restaurant complex "Sadiba Kochubeiv", where we had a real theatrical show, with dances, songs and Gogol's motives. It was fun)).
After that we had a press conference and a meeting with the local community.
We were very happy to talk to such nice and hospitable people.
Then we hitchhiked to Poltava, where we were already waiting for the local coordinator Yanina.
In Poltava we also had a wonderful study tour from Mr. Arthur.
Exhausted returned home to prepare for the next day)).
