In connection with the problem, we contacted the hotel staff for clarification, but we were firmly convinced that everything was in order with the card and with our booking. We alerted the hotel staff that we were prepared to pay for the booking if required and asked them to call them back anyway.
The next day, it turned out that the hotel management canceled the reservation and sold the room that we booked, explaining that it was not their fault - these are all the rules of a third-party booking service. That is, we were left without a room the day before arrival.
1. For a corporate meeting in Odessa and excellent reviews on booking. com was selected Odessa courtyard. It was agreed with the hotel two weeks before check-in that people would start arriving from 4 am, so we needed an early check-in. We paid 50% of the room rate for it and received a promise from the hotel that guests can check in from midnight. As a result, those who arrived early had to just sit in the corridor, because, as explained at the reception, for some reason, their early check-in starts at 8 in the morning. What is most interesting is that those who arrived after 8 were also settled at least an hour later, because someone lived in the rooms and they had to be removed.
2. The girls at the reception are frostbitten (I just can’t find another word). It looks like they are sleeping on the go. They cannot give a clear answer to any question.
3.
When settling in, another surprise awaited us - superior double rooms (it was agreed in advance that there should be two SEPARATE beds). And what did we get - one double bed and ...a sofa! Of the 13 rooms booked, there were 6 such "improved" rooms. In principle, it is strange that they did not charge us for the second "free" place on the bed.
4. For some reason, there was only one set of towels in the double room. The second was brought only after another pleasant communication with the reception. Moreover, the towel brought was with traces of lipstick - and again I had to deal with the reception.
5. A separate story is the smell in the room. Despite the fact that smoking is prohibited in the rooms, there is a sign on the table saying that if you want to smoke, just pay an additional 200 UAH. I think someone in front of us did not regret 200 UAH, in the end we had to sleep all night with an open balcony, because it was impossible to breathe.
6.
When leaving, we also had to wait until the room was checked, just like in the old Soviet hotels.
But the hotel has a doorman!
In general, after visiting Odessa, I can say that this is definitely not the last visit, but it is also certain that I will bypass the Odessa courtyard on the tenth road.
Now a little about the hotel itself. The buffet (breakfast) has not changed in two weeks not by a gram, it has never been: cereals, scrambled eggs. omelets. Exceptionally - sausages, chicken fillets, pancakes and cheesecakes, and so on for 2 weeks. The rooms seem to be new, but the doors are cardboard - you can hear everything, it's impossible to sleep. The windows must be closed, because either the locals are screaming or the restaurant is working in the courtyard. Two days before departure, a pipe in the bathroom flowed, they don’t actually have an engineering service, and the master drove all day.
And an interesting fact - angry at the hotel, we left without saying anything, so we just left the key in the room and called a taxi, security rushed after us, threatened the driver until our room was checked, did not let him leave. Here is a good place for you!
Here's your "rest", go around this hotel!
But, unfortunately, the rest was overshadowed by the dishonesty of the hotel management. In order, we were supposed to have a corporate training with our Moscow colleagues. Odessa courtyard was chosen for living. As a result, when the Kyiv part of the guests arrived, we paid immediately for all the booked rooms, including Muscovites. Aerosvit canceled the flight and the Muscovites did not arrive. When I raised the question, return people for 1 day to us money. I didn’t even ask for a refund on the day of arrival - I understand that they were expected and all that... But with a certificate from Aerosvit, in a force majeure situation, the hotel management did not want to part with 9 thousand UAH! It's disgusting and disgusting. We no longer work with the Odessa courtyard - the uncleanliness of the owner is amazing.
