Wonderful city, fantastically beautiful. The architecture is like in Paris, but everyone speaks Russian. If you are not rude, then you are treated with full respect. A huge number of cafes and restaurants. The menu is very diverse - from stuffed fish to English beer.
But in order to understand all this, you need to stop in the right place. "Comfort" is exactly what you need. Quiet center, even super delicate cats do not yell in the morning. Transport is not heard at all. To Deribasovskaya - 10 minutes on foot, to Moldovanka with its flea market (on weekends) also 5-10 minutes, to Privoz - 15-20 minutes. From Privoz you can return by taxi for a symbolic -20-30 hryvnia (so as not to drag bags).
Comfortel is not even a hotel, but apartments. The room has everything - stove, refrigerator and sink. In addition: a set of dishes, pots and pans. My wife and I bought fresh fish at Privoz - Black Sea flounder, stingray, live crayfish, shrimp and cooked them in the room. For comparison, I ordered a Black Sea flounder in a restaurant - for 100 hryvnias and they brought me a small piece. The next day, on Privoz, we took a whole fish for the same 100 hryvnia, but per kilogram. After dinner, you can go for a walk around the center. The most delicious confectionery on Lanzheronovskaya - there are no such in Moscow. Opposite the pub - the choice of whiskey is very decent. All varieties of my favorite Irish are presented in full. True, the prices are Moscow.
More about food - on Privoz you can buy delicious homemade sausages, and in a 24-hour store near the hotel you can buy milk - cottage cheese, sour cream, kefir, etc. - and you are provided with a delicious breakfast.
I would especially like to say about the owner of the hotel - Vladimir. If he did not speak Russian, I would have decided that he was a native of either Germany or Switzerland. It is almost impossible to imagine such an order in the post-Soviet space. Everything in the hotel works like clockwork, and Swiss. Bed linen and towels are changed every three days, beds are comfortable, mattresses do not collapse, air conditioning works like crazy, internet is fast, plumbing is new, tiles never fall off, etc. etc. In general, everything is great!
Advantages of "Comfort":
1) location: not far from the center, but in a quiet Odessa courtyard;
2) comfort: we had junior suites. The room has everything you need for life:
- in order to provide a snack, - a kettle, a microwave oven, a set of dishes, a refrigerator (with a carafe of cold water);
- in the bathroom - hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel, soap, a set of 3 towels for one person;
- in the room - wardrobe, chest of drawers, 2 bedside tables, TV, air conditioning;
- for communication with the outside world - good Wi-Fi.
The photos on the site are true.
3) cleanliness: the rooms are new, they are very clean;
4) the living conditions are clearly stipulated: you can bring guests, as agreed, you can even leave them.
Cons (relative):
given that this is a private hotel, there is no kitchen. You will not be able to eat on site. But for Odessa, this is not a problem: there are a lot of cafes where you can have a bite to eat, including nearby (a three-minute walk) - the network "Zharyu-paryu" (you can have a hearty full breakfast for 200-250 rubles with the first, second and third).
Regarding the manner of communication of the owner: he was laconic with us (communication was only on the merits: transfer to another hotel, our room at Comfortel, greeting at the meeting). Snobbery, i. e. arrogance and arrogance in communication, did not notice.
Obsession was also not peculiar.
I'll tell you why, but it's okay.
We ordered a reservation via the Internet, it was scary, but suddenly it was a hoax. (especially since you don’t have to go far for examples - they are in abundance on the same Internet). At my own peril and risk, I paid the bank account for an advance payment. I will say right away - DO NOT BE AFRAID, EVERYTHING IS HONEST.
We were met by the good-natured owner of the State Duma - Vladimir. Showed me the apartment. The apartments are as in the picture - the furniture is new, there is a bath, refrigerator, kettle, TV. Everything is clean and comfortable.
And the best part is the price! I believe that such a vacation is affordable and "level" for both a young married couple with a small budget and whimsical clients.
The only thing is that there is no restaurant, but there are rooms with a kitchen where you can cook yourself. In any case, if you come to rest, you can’t sit in your room all day, you can eat and go to a cafe.
Rest with COMFORTEL!
The review was going to be written for a whole year, but only now it turned out. Previously, it was not before, and the beginning of a new summer brought back pleasant memories...
I would especially like to thank the owner of these apartments, Vladimir. He is a big guy. Marina and Andrey from Nizhny Novgorod.
However, first about the good. In fairness, it must be said that the hotel is in a good location, recently renovated, plumbing is working. From the point of view of living conditions, there are no serious complaints, but we will not cling to trifles. However, the owner's boundless swagger completely kills all investments in the "walls". A person from the first acquaintance begins to demonstrate that you owe him something for a long time and strongly. He had never heard of such words as "hello", "goodbye", "thank you", "please". Obviously, Vladimir has a severe depression and the joys of communication and hospitality are not for him. I will not list the situations when he demonstrated frank rudeness and snobbery - they are continuous. Well, who advised him that he needs to be engaged in the hotel business?!...
From visiting the hotel left an unpleasant aftertaste. On the day of departure, I wanted to advise the owner to hire a friendly girl, but I realized that the miserable advice of people from an inferior race could not be heard.
Separately, I want to say about the owner, whose name is Vladimir. With each (! ) Of our tourists, he is our common language and topic for conversation, and everyone walked and smiled at him, and he at them.
Therefore, if to Odessa, then only to "Comfort"!
