Before you settle there or pay money, look at the rooms, it's a shame that because of such scams of the hotel business, people have a general opinion about the city and people. There was another couple at the hotel who were also 100% prepaid. In the evening they called them specially from another phone and answered: they said that all the rooms are occupied, let's pay in advance. In Lviv we often visit a lot of decent hotels and apartments for 700 UAH. That's how much we paid for this crap.

Before arrival, I tried to negotiate with the administrator for an early check-in (our train arrived early in the morning), naturally, we were ready to pay the required amount for this service. Repeatedly calling these geniuses of service, and failed to persuade them for extra money to let us earlier in the room, which was free. But that was only the beginning ?
Photos on booking do not correspond to reality. The walls are peeled, the linen is washed, the towels are generally more like a rag. The bath is cold, that it was impossible to force myself to take a shower. The room is even more or less clean, but in the shared kitchen there is dirt, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, unwashed dishes, and other delights of unsanitary conditions.
We did not want to stay in such a place, and we were forced to rent a room in another hotel and, as a result, leave earlier for home. This is how the long-awaited trip to my beloved city was completely ruined.
To top it all, the administration refused to return the money for the days that we actually did not live in the hostel.

Our train arrived at 5 am, we immediately went to the hostel to leave our things, we planned to check in after arriving from the excursion, which we also booked in advance. At 6 in the morning we were at the hostel, the same Olga Nikolaevna once again confirmed that we would be able to check in after 14.00. We left our things, and when we returned to the hostel at 22.00 there was already another administrator, who said that there were no places and that they would return our money to us, and if they wished, they could put us in a hostel. According to him, Booking is to blame for everything, which sold more rooms than is available, but here the question arises: when booking, the hostel sees the payment and confirms it. How did they confirm the reservation of rooms if they understood that they were not actually there?
In general, the impression of communication with the hostel staff is terrible. I would call this institution a “sharashka office”, which is absolutely irresponsible towards its customers, the employees are incompetent and shift the blame on each other. I don't recommend anyone to deal with them.

The hosts offered accommodation in a dormitory from the college, far from the center... Somehow, our friend had been there before and we had heard about those conditions! We absolutely refused to go there!
Talking on the phone with the manager, she is the owner's wife, I did not even wait for an apology !! ! To my question about why we were not warned in advance that there were not enough places in the hostel and how it happened that they accepted more applications than they have the ability to accommodate - she said: "What difference does it make to you? What would change, if we had warned you? And anyway, I just sat down yesterday and checked, finding out that we have such a situation! " So, "respected" leadership, it's our own business how to act and how to look for housing! It was your duty to -- NOTIFY US about the shortage of available places and the accommodation option in this hostel! And it was up to us to decide what to do next. Under such circumstances, perhaps we would have canceled the trip altogether! Since finding another place to live was UNREAL!!!
We went all over the city center, looking into every hotel and hostel, rang around a bunch of ads for renting apartments! Only by some miracle, in the evening, much more expensive, we found an apartment for the four of us!
I still do not have enough words to describe all the disgust that I experienced while communicating with the management of this "institution"! Despite the fact that the young man, the administrator, tried to behave quite correctly... I can imagine what it was like for him to be in this situation, when, due to such obscene management, he was forced to inform a lot of people that they did not have places for their reservation.
