Ukrainian Holland. "Tulip Ball"
I, as promised, continue to talk about the amazing nearby. This time, fate threw me to Kropyvnytskyi, and not just anywhere, but immediately to the ball. It was a magnificent Tulip Ball that swirled me in a waltz of its splendor!
A lot of legends were composed about tulips in different countries and a huge number of beautiful works were written - about love and betrayal, about happiness and sadness, about joy and suffering.
Kropyvnytsky Park also has its own special legend. And this is how the story began. In early spring, a couple in love walked through the park. The boy's love for the girl was so boundless that the young man wanted to give his beloved a myriad of flowers for her birthday. He thought for a long time how to turn this idea into reality. Cut flowers seemed to him a very banal gift, because they could not convey the full depth of his feelings. And suddenly a brilliant idea illuminates the young man - to give live, multi-colored flowering flower beds of millions of tulips, each of which carries different feelings.
Red tulips symbolize great love.
Yellow - joy, happiness and good mood.
Orange - wealth and friendship.
Pink - tenderness and youth.
White - purity, innocence and respect.
Purple - a sign of gratitude.
And he gave his beloved a fairy tale of tulips!
Then together they gradually began to improve and supplement the park with new interesting attractions for children from all over the city. Over time, their love became stronger, and fate blessed them with the birth of beautiful children. It happened in the spring, because it is not for nothing that spring comes to life and everything new is born. Since then, children's laughter has been heard from everywhere in the park, and the park has become a wonderful place for recreation for citizens and guests.
There is even a small zoo with birds.
These beautiful landscapes inspire all creative people to create new paintings, lyrical songs and love poems.
More than 20 years have passed since then, and the number of tulips is only increasing every year and the collection is becoming more diverse. And Kropyvnytsky Dendropark gives this beauty to everyone absolutely free of charge.
In total, there are more than 3 million tulips in the park, about 150 species, this year alone, 63 species of unique flowers have replenished the collection. So we have our own little Holland in Ukraine.
