Not just the museum of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi district
The area of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi gave the remains of ancient settlements of Neolithic tribes, Trypillia, Scythians, Chernyakhivtsi, early Slavs. 6 single mounds and 3 mound groups with 16 embankments were found here. In total, more than 20 archeological monuments were found, covering the period from IV millennium BC. BC to the late Middle Ages.
The area is very rich in archeological finds.
During the trip I visited the Korsun-Shevchenkivsky Museum of Local Lore. I really liked the museum: the huge area is covered with narrow trees (and I was driving at a time when lilac was blooming), the slopes of the mountains are also covered with it, there is also a tectonic plate fault, in this place flows a river that looks like fault. waterfall, and it turns out a very picturesque landscape, resembling a steep mountain river. There are many suspension bridges over this river (not everyone wants to cross them, because a torrent of water flows under you).
And of course many interesting exhibitions. The museum is divided into many buildings with different themes of exhibitions. Collections from all over Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi district and Cherkasy region are gathered here.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to visit all, because the area is very large and it is impossible to go around it in a day. But I enjoyed walking in these parks, towns over the river, breathed fresh and clean air.
I advise everyone who loves a quiet holiday to visit this museum.
