After reading the reviews, I expected to see horror, horror, but the reality turned out to be much more pleasant than negative expectations - the sea is clean, the beach is spacious, there are plenty of entertainment, housing options for every taste and budget.
This time we decided to save money by choosing something more budget-friendly.
On one of the famous bulletin boards, information about Arcadia-2 caught my eye. I liked the photos of the interior of the rooms, the prices turned out to be adequate to the proposed conditions, and communication with the administrator finally convinced me to make a choice in favor of this option.
We rested in Arcadia-2 for three days and this time allowed me to dabble in plenty about the past days of my student days, plunging into the atmosphere of the hostel life : ).
The base is located in the back of the beautiful buildings of Arcadia-1 and is a long two-story white building. Inside, the interior is also quite simple - a long corridor with rooms diverging on both sides.
Showers and toilets on each floor are separate for men and women. The condition of the plumbing leaves much to be desired - the faucets are leaking, in some places rusty. The toilet cubicles are separated from each other by plywood partitions, there is also a women's shower, which creates some inconvenience - it is better to cope with natural needs, accompanied by certain sounds and smells, in a secluded place, and not where others are washing, washing, washing, wash dishes, etc. : ) The water itself in the taps and in the shower is brackish in taste, sometimes with an incomprehensible smell, but as I understand it, this is not a problem of the base, but a common misfortune for all residents and vacationers in Koblevo, it’s a bit tight there with water!
But in Arcadia-2, unlike more expensive boarding houses (I found out this question), there is ALWAYS hot water. A huge boiler (displacement did not look, but not less than a hundred for sure) works around the clock. And although the announcement says that the shower only works until 10 pm (which creates an unhealthy rush among vacationers, driven by the desire to have time to complete hygiene procedures before the appointed time : )) I washed at 3 and 4 at night.
Drinking water is imported here, right at the base you can buy it for one and a half hryvnia per liter.
The bathrooms themselves are clean, no smell, cleaning takes place almost constantly, for which many thanks to the cleaning lady Olga!
We lived on the ground floor in a double room, the windows of which overlook the courtyard. That is why the base is very quiet, although there are a lot of entertainment venues and discos nearby. The roar of music does not interfere with a restful sleep (for those who leave time for it, of course : )). What can not be said about the noise made by other guests - the soundproofing in the rooms leaves much to be desired, so there is a chance to be aware of all the ups and downs of the neighbors' lives : )
The contingent of vacationers is different - there are young people who have not yet saved up money for luxury hotels, and parents with small children and high expenses for them, and adults who know the value of money.
The rooms are well furnished. We had two single new beds with very comfortable orthopedic mattresses (this surprised me pleasantly and unspeakably - in hotels and boarding houses of higher price categories, sometimes you can’t count on a normal bed - my back is very whimsical in this regard).
There was also a clothes hanger (not a wardrobe, of course, but as it turned out, it was also convenient), a table and even a chest of drawers with a large mirror!
We also had a refrigerator - for it you need to pay extra ten per person per day. However, those who do not have extra gold coins are not threatened by poisoning with spoiled food - there are refrigerators in the corridor for them : )
On the territory of the base there are tables, swings, benches and umbrellas for those who want to relax and breathe fresh air.
Attaching your personal transport is also not a problem - a mini-parking lot right under the windows. There is also a kitchen on the street, though you will not find pots and pans on it - the base has its own Allegro cafe and guests are recommended to eat there.
A complex three meals a day will cost you 120 hryvnia (35 for breakfast, 50 for lunch, 35 for dinner), and if you order for the entire stay and through the administrator, you will also get a dozen discounts.
By the way, the administrator Julia is a wonderful person - friendly, tolerant and adequate. She is at the base almost around the clock and will always help to solve any issue.
In general, neither starvation nor suffering from the imperfection of the environment in Arcadia-2 threatens you. : )
And if you leave snobbery and excessive demands at home, remembering that the service matches the price you pay for your vacation (it is one of the most affordable among the Koblev bases - I also found out : )), then the chances of enjoying your vacation become almost one hundred percent!
