And my 4th day started with a trip to the golf club. One of the best in Ukraine. For me, this was the first time I held a stick in my hands. I had a stereotype that Golf is a game for retirees. That's what I thought until today.
I like to try different new activities, for the hour while learning to hit the ball with a stick, I already started to feel my hand. I want to tell a little about the story. Golf originated in Scotland. When the shepherds were grazing the sheep, they were bored and from time to time they used their sticks to drive stones into the rabbit hole. The owners began to rage that the shepherds were having so much fun and the poor people were forbidden to play this game.
Then, instead of sticks, people began to wear umbrellas to avoid smoking, and played with umbrellas - so they invented the stick.
But to be honest, looking at prices today is really a game for the elite that shows status. The price of a stick can be measured in hundreds of dollars! It is also very expensive to maintain the field itself, as it requires special care.
I want to note that golf is the only sport where alcohol is allowed. On average, a player will cover 10-15 km in one game, because in serious tournaments it is not fun to ride, only with your feet. Before one of the coolest champions in the world "US Open" for a month no one is allowed on the field, and then the ball on this grass cat, like a mirror. This is done in order to minimize the share of the case and to win the most skilled player.
Speaking of the field: to make this grass so perfect, about 20 km of different pipes, computer sensors that measure moisture, etc. pass under it. Everything is super automated! I am shocked by all these technologies and by the fact that it is in Ukraine. In general, the game is interesting and fair! Every newcomer has a chance to win, because he is given more points at the start. I was fascinated by rolling around the field on small cars, as if I got into some parallel world.
After a parallel world, we headed to the village of Kamyan Yaruga, Chuhuiv district, Kharkiv region. We visited a huge farm that grows barley, wheat, buckwheat, sunflower. In order for all this good to grow well, we presented the director with a certificate from our friends - Soil Cares. The owner can now analyze the soil for free and find out what fertilizers and minerals are needed for an even better harvest.
We passed the village of Rohan, where they make the famous beer. In general, Kharkiv region is very industrialized. And Kharkiv itself, in my humble opinion, has the most developed transport infrastructure in Ukraine. The city is convenient and clear how to move, transport on schedule. Ur-a-a victory, I have not seen any minibus here! I especially want to mention the subway.
Here the fare, as in Kiev, 4 UAH, three branches, as in Kiev, but the stops are much smaller. And instead of tokens here are tickets or cards, it is very convenient for locals, and for guests of the city you can buy one-time tickets.
The city surprises with more than one infrastructure: in addition to music and poetry parties, street art is very developed here.
The most memorable mural with a portrait of Lyudmila Gurchenko, I had no idea that she is Ukrainian, not that Kharkiv.
Also struck by the works of local artist Hamlet, they can be found mostly on Pushkin Street. I really like when the walls of the city say, and what they say, understand how you feel, a kind of arthouse.
After high street art, we climbed no less high abandoned roofs to meet the sunset. Rufats are quite popular in Kharkiv, when we were on the roof, we met several companies of young people with guitar and wine, in a word, the atmosphere is chic.
If you want on the roof, then you in the area of the Annunciation Cathedral, where the casino is abandoned. But keep in mind that it is dangerous and scary!
I would also like to note that Kharkiv is no less beautiful at night than during the day, excellent architectural lighting. Be sure to take a walk at night, do not miss the opportunity to look at the city with different eyes.
