Chernobyl 2020. Why is the ghost town so attractive to tourists?!
We chose this tour quite by accident. Stumbled upon it on one resource. The journey started from the railway station in Kyiv. It took about 3 hours to get to the first checkpoint in "Dityatko" with one stop for 15 minutes. to replenish water and snacks. Upon arrival at the checkpoint, we were given an email. tickets. Passed control quickly, at the checkpoint there are 2 souvenir shops. After the checkpoint, our group moved to the city of Chernobyl. A city where time stopped after the catastrophe. We walked around the city center, looked at the private sector and the museum of robotics, which participated in cleaning the 3rd power unit from the wreckage of the 4th. After we went to the city of Pripyat, a city that annually attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over the world. Along the way, we measured the radiation near the "Red Forest" and moved to Pripyat. We spent most of our time in Pripyat, strolled through the streets of this once prosperous city, saw the most significant and famous places, places of high radiation. . . After the group went to lunch at the Chernobyl 19 canteen and, of course, to the site of the tragedy - the fourth power unit. And we ended the tour with the most secret city in the USSR, where Duga-1 has been preserved intact to this day.
