The issue of the visa-free regime, which is quite discussed now, is everywhere. Maybe for someone I will not say anything new, but for me this information was very important. We would not be so worried about leaving for Schengen, and indeed to Europe.

Having read a lot about the rules of the visa-free regime, at the present moment we have taken out only one truthful one. You need a biometric passport. Without it, nowhere.

And the rest of the horror stories do not work.

Here are some of them:

1. There must be the same package of documents as when leaving with a visa. No, just a passport. No bank account information, job availability or salary. No insurance etc. But this is your choice. I am with both hands for insurance, this is your safety on a long journey.

2. No one asks about hotel reservations, campsites. At first it seemed to me that they didn’t care at all.

3. No one rips through the bag, does not force you to show the most hidden corners of your luggage. At first glance, it seems that Ukraine is even more picky (if you can call it that) than the side of Europe.

All you need when crossing the Ukraine-Europe border (in our case, Hungary) is a reasonable reason for entry, possibly approximate travel dates. All. We rejoice, at least we did something for people.
