Castle Museum Radomysl
If you want to:
1) Find a beautiful, relatively secluded place 90 km from Kyiv, which can be reached along the excellent Kyiv-Chop highway, both by public transport (shuttle buses from the Zhytomyrska metro station) and by your own (somewhere on 60 km of the route you need to turn right towards the city of Radomysl, and then drive along a straight line, but not a very good road, drive another 10 km)
2) Visit a restored ancient castle, within the walls of which in ancient times there was a so-called. "papirnya" (workshop for the production of paper and book printing), which belonged to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra
3) Hug the ancient Scythian woman and, according to bioenergetics, recharge with positive energy
4) See with your own eyes the process of paper production according to the old method
5) Enjoy a huge collection of ancient icons from all regions of Ukraine, hear interesting stories from the guide about the traditions of their writing, as well as the features of their use
6) At the same time, look and touch old household utensils, ranging from carriages for children, spinning wheels, and ending with antique bureaus and candlesticks
7) Climb the steep spiral staircase to the highest tower of the castle and, ringing the bell, make your deepest wish
8) Enjoy excellent acoustics in the large living room and delicious tea in the refectory
9) Take a walk in a well-groomed park, in which ancient sculptures from all over Ukraine are successfully inscribed
10) Listen to national music performed by talented musicians
11) Go boating, shoot with a bow and crossbow, see an otter or a beaver (if you're lucky)
12) Just lie on the grass in the shade of willows and birches, enjoying the sun, the sky and the harmony of the world around. . .
. . . then you should definitely visit the Radomysl Castle Museum. Almost all the "pluses" are described by me above, I did not notice the minuses. I will add that the tour costs 50 UAH per person, lasts an hour, after which you can stay in the park all day. In addition, thematic cells (including for newlyweds) are equipped in the castle, where you can stay. In my opinion, the place is ideal for thematic, and not only, events, as it combines all the charms and amenities of a country holiday, and even a little more!
Finally, I’ll add that the Radomysl Castle Museum became an example of how an abandoned dump turned into a wonderful land thanks to one interested person who spared no expense and effort, bought the territory and restored the castle, breathing new life into it, and most importantly, did not turn to a closed residence, but made it available to the public.
