I didn’t think that this year I would have a rest in Ukraine at sea. I wanted to go to Turkey as usual, but my often ill son was given a ticket to Berdyansk to the children's sanatorium "Berdyansky". A few words about the resort itself. Located in an ecologically clean area of Berdyansk, at the beginning of the so-called. braids. On both sides of the sea and the bay, near the lake. The air is clean, there are no businesses nearby. For children with lung diseases, that's it. The sanatorium itself left an ambiguous impression - on the one hand, good treatment and good food, on the other hand, the rather depressing condition of the buildings and rooms in the sanatorium itself, but whoever comes to treat children does not pay attention to domestic inconveniences. They are watching the children (in the best Soviet traditions, no one will escape the attention of the educators, he watched himself, the children can be left in the detachments, there will be no problems). Himself with the boy was in the so-called. superior room (in the room TV and washbasin) -they have nothing better yet. Now about the city itself. To be honest, I tuned in to rather harsh conditions. I thought that there would be something similar to Storm in the Crimea (a friend with his wife and kids "rested" there - the general impression is horror. Starting from the temperature of the sea (he rested from the beginning of August, it was cold, they couldn’t swim), then jellyfish appeared, again, you can’t buy it, and ending with the usual Crimean high cost for everything. Berdyansk pleasantly surprised me - the first impression from the station (not arrogant, but calmly offering their services to taxi drivers, which is rare). Distance km 20 requested 40 UAH. It is also cheap by our provincial standards. The city itself struck with a beautiful central street (Lenin Ave. ) - it seems that public services from morning to night only clean, clean and put their city in order. Lots of benches everywhere clean and tidy. Walking along the main street you run into the embankment (beautiful promenade-Gorkogo street-we walked from the old Soviet park to the port (monument to a torpedo boat)-everything is well-groomed, there are many monuments, attractions, cafes, etc. for different tastes and budgets. There are boat trips (for 30 minutes from UAH 20 - for 3 hours from UAH 70) - to put it mildly inexpensive. . Entertainment for children starts from 5 UAH to 40 UAH (Ferris wheel in Luna Park) Beer and ice cream-like in Zhytomyr from 5-6 UAH to 10-16 UAH. The feeling is that I was preparing for "resort" prices, and everything is at home. The people are quite friendly (again, not like the Crimeans) Dried and smoked fish is inexpensive (from 10 UAH and above). Fans of environmentally friendly recreation can be advised scythe (on both sides of the sea). Again, prices for all tastes - from old boarding houses and the private sector, to fairly elegant looking new hotels. There are not very many shops on the spit, but the sea is nearby (the width of the spit is from several tens of meters to one and a half kilometers). The disadvantages (in my opinion) of Berdyansk include expensive prices for excursions (offers from 300 UAH and children do not have discounts) But I think over time they will understand that excursions are also of interest to a certain contingent of vacationers. In general, it turns out that you can go to Berdyansk and have a pretty cheap and comfortable rest there. There are many Russians and people from Eastern Ukraine among the vacationers (but here in Zhytomyr almost no one knows about him - advice to the Berdyansk authorities - advertise your city more). Considering that Berdyansk has been positioning itself as a resort town for only 16 years, it has rather great prospects. Personally, I would prefer to rest better in Berdyansk than in the Crimea (for me, the atmosphere and prices are more comfortable). So I recommend this city, and especially for families with children (who don’t have money for the Crimea), you will have a good rest and improve your health. If anyone is interested, I will answer questions.
